Purchased a groupon deal for a stay at the Waldorf Astoria and dinner at the Powder Restaurant. We called before purchasing to ask if anything on their menu could be made vegan and they were willing to accomodate at no extra cost. I originally gave 5 stars, but after my stay I wasnt super satisfied. They ended up charging us the whole bill because we made variations on the menu. The manager was able to reverse the charge for us, but I just wasnt expecting a bill when we paid for the meal already and made sure we could do vegan variations without any extra charge before hand.

We had dinner at Powers restaurant for New Years eve last year and it was great!!!Very festive atmosphere, ball drop watching at Time Sq in New York. This year totally different story- no sign of celebration, we were rushed to finishing our dinner and ruined the evening/ will not commin g back

Okay as a person who eats each week at a different place in PC I put Powder at the Waldorf close if not at the top. I loved the trout and will be back!

Decent food, but not worth the exorbitant price. Wine list is also average, but vastly overpriced. Cocktails are awful, sweet and watery.
