ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! the food was okay. The manager was a nightmare. I had just sat down to eat some food from the salad bar. The waitress showed up and asked how my family was doing. Just then I took a bite of the cantaloupe. It was rotten. I spit it out. The waitress saw this and immediately apologies and says she will remove it from the bar. I thank her. These things happen on buffet items. Quickly after the manager, Chesley, arrives to ask how things were goibg. I simply stated that I bit into a piece of cantaloupe that was rotten, but it looks like or was taken care of. Then the fun begins. She then tells me that the food was not rotten. Both my wife and I told her that it was and that the waitress witnessed it too. She called me a liar and that Sizzle never has rotten food. She stated that she tried a piece and it was fine to her. I asked her to try a piece of mine, that was not touched and she refused. I then said I would not be called a liar. She then yelled at me not to take a tone with her. I then stated that I wanted a refund and we were leaving. She said fine. Then she turned around and argued again with me and said we get no refund. I insisted that since we ate no food, a refund was appropriate. After her yelling at me again in front of her staff, she agreed to give me a refund. I went to the front to get the money. After I got the money, I told her not to call a customer a liar and I was never eating here again and proceeded to leave. She chased me down yelling for me to stop leaving. I turned and told her I was leaving. As I got to the door she yelled again. I turned a final time. She pointed her finger withing inches of my face and yelled at me to leave the restaurant. I reminded her that I was doing just that and she was the one that wanted me to stop and engage her. She opened her hand and raised it to what appeared to be an attempt to slap me. I told her not to be aggressive or get physical with me. She screamed at the top of her lungs that I had to leave immediately or she was going to call the cops and that I should not yell at her. On a side note, I was sick this day. I had laryngitis and could barely speak above a whisper without tremendous pain. I reminded other one final time that I was leaving till she stopped me to confront me and argue and that I was leaving again. I turned my back on her and left. On the way out she screamed that I was banned from Sizzler for life. Needless to say, I have no problem with that. Early on I asked for the managers number. She gave me the stores number. When I called to complain, she answered and hung up on me. I hope that the owner, Jake Cohoon, does not approve of this behavior. We had been to Sizzler 2 times before in the previous week. So far I have not been able to get a hold of him. A different manager stopped by our table to see how our dinner was and was completely nice and friendly. Until Chelsey finds other employment, I will not only never come again, but will actively discourage others from going there, no matter their "deals."

We were excited for the all you can eat Ribs, which we had to ask if they were participating in as they didnt have ANY notices anywhere. We were shocked at how long it took them to even bring us the ribs. The dinner only consisted of the ribs and french fries, nothing else. We could substitute the fries for another side, which I did, for mashed sweet potato. We were seated with a roll each and brought our water. Then when the first rolls were eaten, after about 10 minutes, we were brought another basket of two rolls. We were wondering if they were trying to get us to fill up on rolls so we didnt finish the second basket. NOTHING was said about when the ribs would be brought out. We FINALLY received 3 ribs each with our sides at 25 MINUTES after we ordered. They got my side wrong and she had to go order it correctly, which took a while to get. The ribs were the worst ribs we have ever had. The bones were HUGE, indicating an old animal, the meat was tough and flavorless. The meat was pathetic, a sliver of meat up each side of the rib and NOTHING on the top or bottom. There was more sauce than meat on the bones and the sauce wasnt even that good, like cheap BBQ sauce from a jar from the store. We told the waitress the ribs were tough and she said she would see if she could get some tender one, HA. They were all tough. We decided to see if they got any better, but as an all you can eat goes, you get what you pay for, lousy food. Its only to bring you in to order other food dishes. We ordered another serving of ribs, and received 2 ribs each. The bones once again were huge but the meat was sparse. We ordered one last serving of ribs each and received 2 ribs each again. With 7 ribs, one would think I would be stuffed, but I was barely full. There was not enough meat on the ribs to even make to one steak. We decided to quit as the food wasnt even good and we were wasting our time. Granted we only paid $20 for the two of us, we got what we paid for, horrible food. We will never go back!

First of all, the meat was good. My husband got the bacon wrapped steak well done and it was cooked perfectly and it was tasty. I ordered the cedar salmon. I really hated it (probably the worst salmon Ive ever had and I LOVE salmon), but my husband liked the taste and Im open to the possibility that I just dont like that kind of salmon. However, the food is the only good part of this place. It was our first (and last) time there, so it was pretty confusing thinking it was a fancy restaurant and finding out that it isnt and you pay/order before youre seated.. Not a big deal, but it was confusing and it seemed kind of tacky to me. Note that you have to leave a cash tip! If you dont have cash on you, theyll offer to run your card and give you some at no charge, but its a minor inconvenience as a couple who only carries debit cards and didnt know about this routine. The staff really didnt explain anything to us, even after I pointed out that we were new. I realize I couldve looked it up myself, but we came because of an ad in our mail on a whim. Either way, with a restaraunt that confusing, it should be explained. It looks like a cheap buffet and american diner had a baby and its trying to be an upscale restaraunt. Its extremely mismatched and just...wrong. And, although our waitress was awesome (got us refils before we ran out), she seemed extremely disaffected in general or maybe with her job. Not a big deal though. The food was out rather quickly. However, there were some cheap corn chips with diced tomatoes as a garnish. I dont see how that works with cedar salmon...it was insulting! Kind of wasteful too, because there was no way I was eating that with the money I paid. All in all, it was just a very poor experience and that restaraunt (maybe the whole chain?) is just lazy and cheap except for the food. My recommendation is to go across the street to Texas Roadhouse. Very good salmon there, the prices are reasonable, and its much more pleasing to the senses.
