Absolutely horrible service and food is just really bad tasting, the orange chicken was not even orange chicken it was so terrible, it tasted like it was fried in the same oil over and over again, and then left to sit for hours, and usually when you order food when you get it you smell the very good aroma of delicious food, but as for the lotus garden, NO, you do not get that great smell of Chinese food, it literally smelled like reused vegetable oil, I wish I can say one thing that was good, but if it has to do with the food itself, then NO, nothing good, I ended up giving the food to a homeless man down the street from where I live, and customer service was also the worst, the guy kept on rushing me and wouldnt let me customize my plate, and when I asked for fried noodles, they brought me DEEP FRIED NOODLES!!! so there you have it, never again will I order from this nightmare of a restaurant!!!

I was hoping that this place would be good since we have so very few Chinese delivery places around here. It was horrible! 1- The sweet and sour chicken was tough and leathery 2- The chicken fried rice was burned and tasted horrible 3. Everything tasted like it had been fried in the same old oil. 4. It was expensive....$51.00 for two people! The only good thing about this place was that my food arrived in a timely manner. If you want good Chinese food in the North Salt Lake area go to China Platter. They dont deliver but the extra effort to pick it up is well worth it and they cost less!

First time ordering from the locust garden in north salt lake. Overpaid-prices higher than advertised on the menu. Delivery time- add 20 minutes to the latest time quoted. Food---i will never order from again..I gave the entire order for 4adults to the stray cats outside. I payed 36.15$$ and gaged. When i called to complain i was given attitude when i requested the manager. Then was hung up on..You bet if i had a car my order would have been on their counters..PLEASE BEWARE OF THE GENERAL TAOS...not sure the meat but the red food color i recognized.

Absolutely loved it. Small family run stores are almost always better than giant corporate chains and this place definitely holds true to that. In my humble opinion I would highly recommend anyone to this general tso chicken!, I just cant get enough! Not only was the food amazing but the service too, going out of their way to find directions for my wife and I, while having a great sense of humor which I found to be infectious. All around great place I just dont have enough good things to say about it.

The food has always been good for my wife and I. The problem they have is delivery time. They have it posted that it takes 30-45 min. and every time we order it takes an hour or longer. Every time we call to check on it they give us the same response of we are very busy this morning/evening. If your going to be late then call me and let me know....thats why we provide you with our phone number. Its disrespectful not to deliver on time and no phone call.

Its a mix between Tia and Chinese. I had the General Tso, a sour, sweet, salty sauce coated on spicy fried chicken. Pork fried rice served was cooked just right to eat with chop sticks, not to sticky and not to loose. Family oriented with the owners children helping to serve the meal, with very good English to strike up a good conversation. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would appreciate Tia and Chinese mixed meals.

Ive eaten at dozens of Chinese food places all around the country, Im a truck driver, and this is the worst Chinese food Ive ever had... I ordered the pork with mixed vegetables which is made the same EVERYWHERE!!! but of course not here... The pork is different and you get more veggies than meat by far.. The fried rice was bland and they were even skimpy with the soy sauce..gave me 1 packet. I recommend going elsewhere.

Small dirty not well organized i ordered shrimp lo main only had two shrinp in it and chicken lo main had very small pieces of chicken in it ordered some egg rolls they dident come with my order when i complained i was given a nasty attutide went to eat them and they were cold in the center and barely warm on the outside very disappointed in this place i wont be back dont go there

When I visited this place, I was skeptical, because when you walk in, you immediately know its not clean. Tables dirty, floor unmopped, and the smell of stale oil. This is a red flag! Sanitary is not a concept. But, I went ahead and ordered cream cheese wontons, soft pan fried noodles, and sesame chicken. The food was very good, not overcooked. Next time, Ill just order take out.

Went in for togo order.. Tables still had dirty dishes on them, food on table,chairs and floor. Some dirty dishes collected in a bin sitting in dining area and waitress standing there looking off into space. Looked for health department rating, not posted..piled up trash in plain view. This place needs to be shut down....

Not from here so it was my first time trying them and they were GREAT!!! Ordered online at 7:27pm and food was delivered to me less than a 1/2 hr. by a friendly guy who treated me like I was a longtime customer! Food was Great too! Definitely ordering again next time Im in town!!!

Wife and I got general tso and chow mein and the general tsos was ok not the best but not awful the chow mein was basically spaghetti noodles that were over cooked and mushy. Service was pretty quick and people were really nice but Probably wont be going back.

Nothing tastes like it is supposed to. The flavor of the sauces are not good. I like the variety of veggies they use but Moho gai pan and beef broccoli do not taste right. The chicken lomein is gross too. They do have good cream cheese wontons.

Poor, poor, poor! Had the lunch special. General Tso chicken. Rice was cold and had a bad taste. My soda was warm and when I went to pay, I said something about the rice being cold. They could not have cared less. I will not be back!

House special was Devine... Potstickers done perfect and BBQ spareribs were soooo good as appitizers. We will be back. Place is clean and orderly. food arrived with fast service and piping hot.

We ordered fried rice and got steamed rice microwaved with beef and chicken. We arent picky eaters, we are big people, and for us to take one bite and leave you know it had to be disgusting.
