Ive always loved this place but today we had a rough experience that makes me never want to go back to this location. I left my ID at home and at this location you can eat if youre under 21, as long as you dont sit at the bar. The waiter sat us down asked us what we wanted to drink and we responded "just water" and he replied "k I need to see your ID". We were confused because we have been to this location multiple times and our ID is never checked. He asked us to leave and took our menus. We left and couldnt believe it so we called other locations and 2 verified that our ID should have never been required to sit at the tables. We also tried calling this location to simply ask the manager what had happened but no one answered and we called 3 times, the Taylorsville location even said that they hear customers constantly complain that this location never answers the phone, even during slow hours. In the end we just went home and simply complied but we just couldnt believe how rude the waiter was. There is even a sign staying "21 and over after this point" by the bar... Not at the door way. Would love to hear from a manager or someone to help us understand if this is a new change or simply an employee not aware of the procedures at this location. Thanks.

BEWARE staff steals money from patrons here, and the manager - Dave Middleton - does nothing. Tuesday 13, 2015 around 5 pm I had left my wallet on the counter after a pretty awful meal, left and realized the next morning that I had misplaced my wallet. I called back, and pleasant girl answered the phone and assured me that she had found it and put it in the safe. When I returned to pick it up they returned the wallet, less all the cash (over $150). I noted this (assuming the wallet was turned in without the cash) and the employee said she knew there was cash in the wallet when she put it in the safe. So, an employee with access to the safe stole the money. When the manager - Dave Middleton - was made aware of this, he refused to speak with me (via phone, he wasnt at the location) and said he wouldnt do anything. Keep in mind, this is with one of him employees saying she put the wallet in the safe, it had cash when it was placed there and then when she retrieved it... no cash. To the owners of this establishment - Joe Fraser and Tim Ryan. Im reporting your establishment for theft and suspicion of identity theft.

When Im at any Bout Time location, it typically insinuates that Im meeting people, and I didnt choose the location. Bout Time has food, and full bar. So what are the issues? I feel its exceptionally overpriced. You can go to some of the most pretentious bars in Salt Lake, (Bar X, Under Current, Whiskey Street) and end up racking up a much higher bill at Bout Time with weaker service and worse food. All the food is straight up bar food. Heavy, fried, greasy...even the salads have fried chicken and tons of shredded cheese and bacon in them. Some people like this, but I prefer a lighter option if possible. Yet, I find myself at these locations often. So obviously people like these joints and thats why Im always meeting someone here. Im just not personally a fan, but that mostly comes down to cost. For what they are, I feel it should be less expensive, at least in comparison to other bars...but theyre apparently not losing my business regardless as long as all my counterparts remain fans of this place.

5 stars to the bartenders. They were the only servers when I went but youd have to tell me that twice, they were quick and friendly. However, this location is central to a fast-growing corporate park amoeba, and when you only have 5 tables seated, it shouldnt take 45 minutes to make a club sandwich. I wouldnt recommend this to other office employees because of the shear time it takes to get your food. Its above average food quality, I liked my sandwich more than I like chains like Smashburger and Mooyah, but I paid more for it. Was really hoping to find a good place to catch the ballgame during my lunch hour, but I wont be returning mid-day to this place in the future.

Came in after a hike at big cottonwood canyon for a beer and food. Got the beer and was just completely ignored by both people doing the serving and bartending. It wasnt even busy at all, maybe about 6 groups sitting in there and there was alot of downtime. Seemed like they were purposely ignoring us or something. Walking by to clear tables next to us without even a glace or mention about the menu. The one at gateway is way better, why is this place even here when you treat customers like garbage.

I hate rating this low for bout time. I love the food and the service is usually excellent. It took 45 minutes to get our food. The server discounted our ticket, but it wasnt close to making up for our lunch hour taking that long. The place wasnt even particularly crowded and other people came in after and got food long before us. Seemed like our order was forgotten.

Sam Busch is the BEST bar tender on the planet! I have been coming to this place for years because of him and the way he makes EVERYONE that walks in feel like family! This is my own personal Cheers! Food is great, staff is fun and friendly! If you are from out of town or live in town this place will make you feel right at home!

Seems like they changed their recipes recently for the worse. When they first opened their sandwiches were great, but now taste cheap. Location is convenient, and theres lots of visual entertainment, a pool table and some gaming machines. Limited seating. A good overall place, just dont go with high hopes of good food.

Usually play NTN (Buzztime) here once or twice a month. Been going for a little over a year now. Service is usually very good but every once in a while its just okay. Food is good, pizzas are great. Its certainly pub food. Nice interior. At this time they are a bar for several months and a restaurant the other months.

Went there for lunch on a Monday. They do $5 burger and fries for Monday. They were swamped but the staff did a great job. Lunch took quite a while, I think they had two people serving the entire place. Fries and burger were great! Dont know if they were short staffed or what but go with plenty of time for lunch.

Great little place. Good spot for 40+ year old people to come hang out have some beers, food, and watch a game. Cons are sometimes the music gets to loud so you cant have a good conversation and the patio is full of smokers so non-smokers arent comfortable.

I am told the manager says they cant accept Canadian ids. Unfortunately the manager didnt have the balls to say it to my face. Its the same id that I use to get through TSA security in all US airports. So this place has higher security.

The food is good and the staff is friendly. Service can be a little slow so make sure you have time to eat here. They have great appetizers and burgers. This place is popular with the employees of the nearby offices.
