Ive been to this location multiple times with overall positive experiences but they need to work on some things. 1. Cafe Rio has great food. And its pretty consistent in providing good food. 2. Ive ordered to-go as well as in person and I didnt have a great experience with the to-go ordering. The to-go line can get long at times. Also, they need to have your food ready when you get there and in order to do that sometimes I think they make it a bit early. Thats understandable but I dont like lukewarm food. I havent seen attempts to keep the food warm. (like how a pizza place keeps the pizzas warm) and think they should work on that. 3. This location is nice. Its a different layout and design than some of the other Cafe Rio locations and while it still gets just as busy, I feel lest claustrophobic in this one. 4. I came here with a large group of friends recently. We had about 15 people in the group and so when the one large table that could accommodate the group became available, some of us sat down to make sure it was still available when everyone got through the line. I noticed it was grimey/sticky and I wanted it clean before we ate. We had a few minutes and if Id had access to their cleaning supplies I would have been fine to come clean it myself. As this wasnt the case, I found an employee who was cleaning tables and such and asked (trying to be kind and not a jerk) if they would come clean our table. After they finished some other things they came did very little. Perhaps they thought it looked clean enough. The lack of the remnants of another persons meal being on the table does not mean its clean. They didnt win any points that day. 5. Finally, (And this a frequent occurrence at Cafe Rio) they need to stop treating customers like cattle being corralled. I think its nice to order when you can stand in front of the person and tell them what you want. I dont think its enjoyable when youre 5-10 feet down the line and theyre already trying to take your order. Sure it gets them started on it before you get up there -- but its annoying. And does it really speed things up at all? It seems like they could just help the people that are in front of them and get people through the line just as quickly (or nearly so) while providing a better experience for their customers.

Horrible Service! I went in to get some food, I walked up to the take out person and asked if they do à la carte, they told me yes and gave me the price. The problem is I went to order and asked à la carte pork and they just looked at me and gave this rude look and then asked what do you want SIR! and so I said à la carte, realising maybe they dont know à la carte, so i asked for just pork and they said pork what? I said just pork. The lady got really rude at this point and said thats it!? so you just want pork nothing else? at this point a nice lady behind me jumped in to back me up and reiterate what I was asking for. I start moving down the line, the next person asks what did you have? I told her and she turned to find it and could not, it just vanished. She turns to ask for sure what I had, I tell her and then she gives me this look like the other lady and then gets snippy, so i try and explain and then the lady next to me realizes that I am being treated like crap and jumps in to defend me, Keep in mind its like 4/10 in intensity at this moment, then the lady serving me turns to the women defending me and says thank you mam I can handle this and gives this have crap smile at her. At this point part of the line workers are looking at me and another person comes over to find out whats going on and gets snippy with me as well. At this point the entire store line is STARING RIGHT AT ME, as if I had just murdered someone. So I feel very uncomfortable at this point and then one lady gets it (still an angry one) and she says so you are wanting a side of pork? I tell her yes thats all I want. All of a sudden everyone gets whats going on and I get my food and then I get to the end of the line (ladies were still rude), then the cashier was younger and really nice and I asked her "So if all I want is some meet, do I just ask for a side of it or what, and explained the situation" SO END RESULT: Craptastic service, Wonderful food and restaurant establishment, would recommend 10/10 any day, but not this location. ALSO TIP if you are doing atkins diet and only want meet ASK FOR A SIDE OF MEET unless you wanna be belittled and treated like an idiot by a bunch of Rude/Incompetent people. (Disclaimer race has nothing to do with this scenario)

The worst experience I have ever had at ANY RESTURANT. Time and time again minus one location in talorsville ut that on is the absolute powerhouse and is now the only store left I will ever go to out of all your locations. The problem wasnt the following, 1. Waiting paitiantly for 5 minutes to even be helped I understand that busy time and close to closing is usually a madhouse. 2. Whiting 5 employees run around and accomplishing noting. 3. Thinking that my food was ready while I waited. What was the issue with this establishment is the neglect and respect of time on behalf of your customers. Yes you may have improved your process but how does the quality of service improve without the care for each and every customer. The fact that a take out order for nachos NACHOS!!!!! Took wait no did even get STARTED WITHING THE 25 MINUTES I WAS GIVEN OVER THE PHONE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF MY VALUABLE TIME. Then after waiting the additional 5 minutes to be helped. I was told it wasnt ready NOT it wasnt even started. This is a less then excusable reasons for this to happen. Now Im gonna be honest as I possibly can here. THIS STORE OUT OF ALL THE CAFE RIOS IVE BEEN TOO IS THE OVERALL WORST. I will NEVER BE BACK TO THIS STORE 30 minutes to start a take out order with 3 employees not doing anything to help customers get their orders they placed 30 minutes in advance. I hope the owner of these franchises and or business, READS THIS and ACTS! Im not the only one with complaints with an average of 2.4 stars now I understand why. To the workers Im not trying to attack you this is obviously a management issue not an EMPLOYEE issue. Again THIS IS A MANAGEMENT ISSUE CONDUCTING IMPROPER PROCEDURES AND 0 care for the customer why would I want to eat your food if Im treated less then a human being at this locating. Yes I am pissed you can not give me back my wasted time and my wifes anger towards me because of your inexcusably poor attempt to run a restaurant.

Last time I come here on a Sunday, and probably ever. First we asked an employee if someone could wipe a table off for us and the guy said "were short staffed today so youre going to have to do it yourself. Theres some napkins over there." Which wouldve been no big deal if we hadnt watched the employees for the next hour move around slow and sluggish, seeming like they dont care to be there, taking multiple bathroom breaks, some even just standing there at times doing nothing. Next we waited in line for 30-40 minutes, even though there was only around 10-15 people in line. We came around 2 oclock so the place wasnt even that busy. People who were waiting for so long eventually decided to leave and go some place else. I ordered a burrito and they put i through the heater. As it came out the other side they had so many orders waiting to be taken off the heater that food fell the the ground and they had to remake it. This could have simply been avoided if the employees were paying attention instead of standing around and moving like they just woke up with a hangover. We finally got our food and I went to grab a drink and all of the iced teas were out. All 4 of them. None of them worked. So I tried the strawberry lemonade and it tasted like it had been sitting there for awhile. I wouldnt have ordered a drink if I had known everything would be gone. As we were leaving we went to throw our food in the trash, but both trash cans were completely full, even the counter around the trash cans was stacked with empty trays and food containers. We had to set our food on a table next to the trash. The whole hour and a half we were there not one employee cleaned any table or cleared out the trash. I used to love this place, but this horrible experience will probably make me choose elsewhere next time.
