3 stars. Food is okay. Soups are bland, but improved since they opened. Service is poor many times for eat-in, but depends on who is working I think. One waiter disappears for long stretches (like 15 minutes at a time) leaving you to fend for yourself. Even takes a long time with the check. Another waiter is johnny-on-the-spot all the time. Even showed a cheaper, better way to order, that you can get the lunch specials all day for 1 or 2 dollars more than the lunch price. There is 1 lady who answers the phone sometimes, and she is just awful to have on the phone. Extremely poor English, has to repeat orders 4-5 times before the people on the other end of the call are sure they have it right. She just cannot pronounce the words in English well enough to be understood. I think she understands English just fine. How do I know all this? SHE SHOUTS INTO THE PHONE! Also, every time Ive eaten there, theres a little kid in one booth, who apparently control the TV in the place--many times set to kids cartoons or other idiotic shows with the volume up. I usually have a book or magazine if Im alone, and others are trying to talk--so why not turn the volume off, and put the CC text on the screen? Id prefer to have the quiet. The food is pretty good, prices are average for the area for Chinese. I gauge Chinese places (non-buffets) by 4 dishes they serve, one being the soups. If they get those right, my main choices, and the soups, I go back. There ARE better places around based on the soups alone. BUT, theyre more money, and not exactly right around the corner. Ive never ordered delivery items, but they have 1 or 2 younger guys delivering, and they seem to do their thing really quickly, because they will leave on a delivery while Im eating my soup, and are back mid-way through my entree. So, I dont know what the problem might be with the long delivery times listed here. Maybe whenever it might be they are really busy (weeknight dinnertime certainly IS NOT, based on what I have see) they get overloaded or something. This is a restaurant owned by a family that has at least 1 or 2 others somewhere in Harris County. They would have never been able to stay in business this long without the other locations propping this one up. Just not very busy.

THIS IS THE MOST ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF, IGNORANT and BADLY RUN Restaurant and service I have ever received in my 55 years of life. Three different occassions, they charged me for items i ordered and delivered the wrong items. The wrong items are cheaper on the menu than what i paid for. How do you get someones order wrong THREE CONSECUTIVE TIMES? The sadest part of it is that the manager NEVER attempts to even appologise, let alone voluteering to make it right. The food tastes like PLASTIC, service SUCKS, and you can HARDLY reach anyone who can speak the language of service well to take your order. Order food from this restaurant at your own RISK. The only reason i patronized them was because they delivered. NOT WORTH a pinch of schit.

We ordered several meals from Hunan Inn while at work, and from the get go, the service was terrible. Our orders took about 20 minutes to make to the lady on the line. They delivered our meals an hour later, when we are 3 miles from their building. The chicken dish (General Tsaos) had a very small amount of chicken (mostly veggies, nuts, etc). One order was charged for soup but was not delivered with the meal. Another order was charged for a spring roll, again, did not come w/ the meal. We were all very dissapointed with the quality of food, the length of time it took to be delivered, and the overall experience from the beginning.

Today was my first time eating here, I got it delivered to my home. It says an hr but it was 10 min late. When I got the food it was super hot! Which is great and the food here is what u expect. Im not super fancy or anything, Im used to eating Chinese food at buffets, this is basically that. Fried rice is good, chicken dishes are good. After work sometimes I get home late so no time to cook. My hubby and kids ate it and we liked it. If you have a craving for Chinese food this will fix it. Like I said nothing fancy just your decent Chinese food. Will order again.

EXCELLENT CHINESE at VERY REASONABLE PRICES. We have been going here since they Grand Opened ( Funny they still are flying the Grand Opening Banner after 1 YR ). Since the get go we have been impressed with GREAT FOOD and SERVICE. Special Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Kung Poa are our regulars and they never fail. Egg Rolls and Won Ton Soup is always hot and fresh. We frequent other Chinese restaurants in the area and have settled on this and T Jing as our favorites for overall Food Quality and Best Overall value for the money. Long Live Hunan Inn!!!!

Took an hour to get the wrong home delivery order. Argued with me about it. Wanted to come pick it up and then come back to bring the right stuff. Told them to bring the right stuff and they can have the wrong order. Called and told them it had been an hour and forty five minutes, to just forget the entire order and to give me a credit. Again an argument. Guy showed up to pick up their stuff. Still no credit. I will dispute it. I will not be using these folks again. If you do, expect slow service, small portions and not the best quality - in my opinion.

I have tried several Asian food restaurants in the area, but this place I keep coming back to. I like the friendly staff, and prompt service from their drivers. The food is great compared to other locations. I see they have reduced the curry on some items which is good, also love how the steam rice is always fresh and NOT something that looks like it has been microwaved. Orange Chicken, Dragon Phoenix, and General Tsos are my favorite items. 2+ year very satisfied customer!

Dont waste your money !! Really a Bad experience. The food was just awful, we ordered 4 different items . The pork lo main, it was not pork meat but ORGANS ( it looked like attires or valves ) one of the people in our group is a meat judge and couldnt believe their eyes. The server was unhelpful, rude and had no personalty. Over priced and just overall a really bad experience. We will not recommend .

My husband and I really enjoyed our food it very good ! Only complaint was drink refills are not free and that was a shocker on the bill. If it was a can or a bottled beverage I would understand, however fountain drinks one refill should not cost the same as another drink.

Best Chinese food in the area bar none. Ignore the idiots talking about the color of the window tint we dont eat in a restaurant based on their window tinting but based on the food and this restaurant has excellent food and fantastic service...you wont be disappointed!

The food is good but the serves needs a lot of improvement. I have made delivery orders several times and each time I encounter a different issue from not receiving items I ordered to not receiving the order at all. Order delivery at your own risk.
