I went in this establishment with high hopes. (I like my eggs broken) (I dont like them whole) and im glad that it was just "ANOTHER" one. Anyways, when I walked in, I smelt burning diapers engulfed in soy sauce that was heated in an oven with the mop they use to clean the bathrooms and the dining rooms. Easy to say, my sense of smell was not working. I then proceeded to order some broken eggs and a waffle. What I got instead was a soggy piece of saltwater taffy mixed with peanut butter that had been swept under a rug for a month and then reheated to serve to me. Easy to say, my sense of sight, smell, touch, vision and taste were not working. When it came time to pay the bill my waiter pulled a baby out from under the table (it was knitting napkins for the next customers) and demanded that I left a 50% tip so he could feed his "starving" 60 lb baby (9month old). I Did. I left and went home. upon arriving home I realized that I had taken too many hits of acid and I had never even been to the state of Texas before in my life! That being said, why are you still reading this? I Gave you 5 stars for allowing me to laugh at myself.

Another Broken Egg Cafe may at first appear as another (excuse the pun) breakfast/brunch joint in the vein of Egg & I, but ultimately its quite different. They even have their own branded pepper sauce too (though thats where the similarities end). The good: spacious, shorter waits, better parking. The menu is noticeably on the southern/gulf side of things with the seafood and andouille offerings, along with grits. What it lacks in choice and variety of coffees, juices and bread (no toasts, only english muffin) it makes up in spiked beverages like coffee with Kahlua/Baileys/Amaretto or mimosas/bellinis for those who like to get their buzz on during brunch. The bad: really poor service. Lukewarm, slow (please dont explain delays and absence by blaming unexpectedly large groups that require too much work and attention - thats not professional), too impersonal and hardly anyone smiles. Spruce up the service and Ill be back more often.

Had lunch at the cafe 4/7/15 with my wife. Ordered my favorite egg dish, eggs benedict Order arrived with no Hollandaise sauce, and with a small drizzle of some sort of buttery sauce. When I asked the waitress, she said that the menu had recently been changed. I told her that eggs Benedict is defined by the hollandaise sauce, and if the restaurant was not going to serve it, then they should not call it eggs benedict. I also had substituted fruit for the potatos and found that substitutions that used to be no extra cost now costs an extra $1.50. In sum, the cafe has raised their prices, shortened the menu, and cut out key items of the menu so that a lunch for two there now costs as much as a dinner elsewhere ($31.00). We wont be going back.

Awesome food and friendly staff! Meals are reasonable for this type of a restaurant/cafe. If you are looking for quick and cheap, Dennys is across the freeway. We have had great service from Stacy, Sean, and Katy (not sure those are spelled right)! Good options are the City Grits, Huevos Rancheros, Southwest Scramble, Shrimp and Grits, the omelets are good too, and the breakfast muffins (Apple Cinnamon is a fav). But we have tried a LOT on the menu and so far we have been happy! The french toast meal is huge, the gluten friendly pancakes are good, they also have biscuit beignets that are delish. We have had no problems with them altering the dishes to fit our diet (yes, sometimes with upcharges- no different than other cafes) ...Yum yum!

If you like paying $15 for a poorly cooked 2 egg breakfast, this is your place. Ordered the traditional breakfast which is 2 eggs (ordered mine over hard), english muffin, and potatoes. $7.69. Like bacon with your eggs? I do, thats an extra $1.30. Watching your carbs? fruit instead of potatoes is an additional $1.69. Eggs were runny, english muffin was not toasted, fruit was mostly black berries with a few raspberries and a couple blue berries and none of it fresh. Coffee at $2.50 and the bacon were the only positives. Hostess was rude, waitress was slow and didnt know the menu. 1st and last visit for me.

I absolutely loved this place! My best friend treated me to breakfast this morning so it was my first time here. I have to admit... BEST BREAKFAST EVER! I am a germaphobe, therefore I dont like to eat out much. The Broken Egg was very clean and the food came out beautifully placed on my plate! It looked fresh, was hot and even their water was filtered!!!!! A plus for houston residents! Our waiter was pleasant, this was just an overall great place! Today is Monday, I will be treating my husband this sat because I have to go back! Excellent!!!! The waffle sliders were AWESOME!!!!

Delish! I had the Crab Cavalo Benedict and my husband had the Lobster et Frommage which had brie cheese and we both loved our meals. Our server, Eddie, was friendly and fast. We both had the house Bloody Mary and it was awesome! Its almost a meal in itself with a huge stick of carrot, celery and pickled okra. The lunch menu looked really good too - gourmet burgers and salads. My husband said that hell have his breakfast and lunch meeting there from now on, since its a high class restaurant with beautiful decor. Finally a gourmet breakfast place in The Woodlands area!!

Excellent new breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant with fantastic ambiance and relaxing courtyard (in the back) located in the Portofina Shopping Center. The food is hot and tasty -- especially the cinnamon rolls! Also, a unique and extensive menu includes speciality omelets with a french cuisine/cajun flair. The biscuit beignets actually melt in your mouth and are the best Ive eaten outside of Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. In short, go and experience for either breakfast or lunch (which includes burgers, specialty sandwiches and salads) -- you wont be disappointed.

Very nice ambiance for a breakfast place right off the freeway. They have plenty of seating to where youre typically looking at a 30 min or less wait when you show on the weekends. If the weather is nice, DO ask to eat outside. The outside looks like a hidden little treasure with a tranquil fountain, pretty pergola. The food is very good, but the only thing I dont like is their coffee. The coffee here is bitter and burnt tasting, even with a ton of creme. Pet lovers - YES, your pup is welcome in the outdoor section.

We waited anxiously for Another Broken Egg Cafe to open near us and we were definitely not disappointed! The food and service were excellent and there are lots of unique menu items. It is a kid friendly restaurant, but they do have a full bar and serve delicious bloody marys that have a pepper infused vodka - yum! There was a bit of a wait when we went there on Sunday, but they served free coffee, water and beignets in the back patio area while you waited. The patio area is landscaped and gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Love this place but today I picked up food to go. Mistake number one I guess but I ordered and paid for smoked salmon Benny.. Got home and there was ham on it . Huge disappointment especially since thats probably a price difference .. But what are you supposed to do after you get home and check your food, drive all the way back? No but I guess Ill check next time. And I picked it up from the bar and I get that the girl was busy but she kept wanting to make drinks instead of tending to me.
