3.5 stars I love White Elephants logo-- so adorable and clever. And its really neat that they have a massive coffee roaster on display in their coffeeshop! Most of the times Ive been by, the place is pretty empty, making for a good study spot if you really need to get work done. Downside is that the space is pretty small, so it could get crowded quickly. Pretty standard coffee menu, with items ranging mostly from $3 for teas to $5-something for a mocha. Almond milk and vanilla syrup are 80 cents extra, so you could end up spending close to $8 for a Starbucks tall-sized drink -- definitely on the steeper side for a student. But the lattes are smooth and the art on top is an extra perk and always very insta-worthy! My fave drink so far is their vanilla almond milk mocha. Super rich and luxurious, without being too too sweet! They also sell pastries, last I checked from Cest La Vie. Personally not a huge huge fan, but its nice that theyre available. White Elephant is kind of out of the way for me, but I do appreciate that they exist and are for sure revolutionizing the coffee scene here in SA! More specialty lattes and syrup flavors would definitely add to the fun, but I know they are experimenting with different drinks since I saw them testing out a matcha latte during my visit today. Sign up for their rewards program and youll get a free drink on your birthday. P.S. No lot available so look around the corner for street parking. And the area seems a little run down so just make sure to play it safe and keep the valuables in your vehicle out of sight! Definitely check out White Elephant if youre in the area and need a pick-me-up!

100% better then any big box coffee joint. Pleasant atmosphere, super delicious espresso & custom sodas. Even their pastries tasted like perfection. If you drive by and dont stop, even just to look at the art on the wall, you are likely living your life incorrectly. And should stop anyways for coffee and a good pondering of life. Or dont and miss out in the best kept secret of the coffee world.

White Elephant serves a mean cup of joe and has a lot of other good options for a neighborhood coffee shop. They sitting area is a little bit small, but is cozy if it isnt too crowded. I enjoy the rotating artwork they put on display. -1 star for their price. Cmon White Elephant, be a local neighborhood coffee shop, not the loved and loathed places around Alamo Heights and The Pearl.

Probably one of the best cups of cappuccino in town. The owner really made this small building into a southtown gem. They have a nice little selection of pastries in a display on the counter. Bike parking is also available inside the shop so no worries about theft. Stop by, relax and enjoy.

Very cute little coffee shop. They roast their own coffee and you can see the machine from the windows. Coffee is great, pastry even better. Staff always has a smile and very interactive. And, as a plus, the restroom very clean and stylish. Love this place!
