This used to be my favorite burger place but the last couple of times I ate there it was not good . The time before the onion rings changed from purple onions to white and werent as good. The last time I ate there the burger meat was flattened and dry and overcooked . I love a big juicy burger you never flatten a burger while cooking. I wish it was still good but sadly its not . There is no good burger place in Red Oak now Response to owner . The purple onions were when you first opened back up and I do Remember as I thought purple was different but good ... I dont like to complain as people that do seem like they just want free food. I dont mind giving another chance but the burger last time was almost not edible it was so poorly cooked . Thanks

Amazing people and the food is pretty darn tasty too. We immediately felt like we were part of the family upon entering. Service was wonderful and the owner came by several times to check on us and chat. My son had a patty melt and fries for breakfast which had amazing flavor and a good, hearty portion of meat. I had Hashbrowns with SOS gravy with two eggs and bacon. My bacon was perfectly cooked and the SOS gravy is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! My son took a bite and described it as light and creamy. We will most definitely be back every time we head back and forth through the area. SO worth the short drive off the interstate!

Friendly folks (all of them) the owner cooks here then comes out to check on his customers. Nice, nice, nice. And , so, the food. Had a burger with fries. No bun. Sounds pretty normal. Best burger ever. Really, it was delicious, med well, juicy, excellent flavor. They are making the burgers from fresh ground beef, and it makes a difference. Also homemade fries. They obviously know how to make them correctly. You dont just slice a potato and fry it. Well, you can, but you wont get a good french fry. The fries are excellant. Nothing else to say. Terrific place.

I dont live in the area but visit often and this place is a great stop we come to frequently for fantastic burgers and sides. The burgers are big and deliciously messy, just like I like them. The fresh cut fries are great and breading on the fried pickles, mushrooms, and onion rings are amazing going great with their really good ranch dressing. They have a much wider menu than just burgers but those are so good I have had a hard time trying other things but we have never had anything I didnt like. They also have a full bar if you would like a drink with you meal.

best place ever to eat hang out and have a beer awesome bar everyone is always friendly been going here like the past month and now all of a sudden theres a constant closed sign on the door whats going on sure hope this place isnt out of business if so sure hope they open back up soon very disappointing that new places that are no where near as good open up with more money and drive these places out still not sure if this is the case but either way stil so wrong the smaller bar and grills are always the best lonestar come back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered The Hawk hamburger and it was delicious. The hamburger was made perfectly. It was not over-cooked nor under-cooked. The waitress was personable and friendly. The service was great! I highly recommend you go to the Lone Star Burger Bar in Red Oak Texas. I live in Rockwall, Texas and this is the first time Ive been in Red Oak. it was so nice to have a hamburger properly cooked for a change!!!

We were a party of 4 and we all got burgers. They were all delicious. Our server gave us extra fries because he thought it looked like they shorted us. It didnt look that way. Also, the gentleman who was either the manager or the owner was making sure everything tasted good and kept up with refilling our drinks. Very excellent service and food!

We had a large group (24) including kids. The staff was amazing! They were so kind and very patient with our noisy group. And then the food.....it was fantastic. My child ordered a second burger (he is 8 and hard to please). I would go back in an instant. Thank you for your wonderful service and food.

chicken fried steak special was great! small portion was perfect and didnt feel stuffed. The appetizer sampler was the only thing our party of 6 felt was over priced or short on portion...litterally 2 bites per person :( Everyone else had burgers and said they were great on flavor, portion and price!

A little pricey but Excellent burgers, Employees are a little radical and sparatic at times with questionable persona. We presented to the owner, nothing was done. Not even tested for drugs when that was evident. I would say a little risky for an owner of a struggling restaurant.

I will never give my money to any business that turns away veterans, this establishment will not allow veterans to come in with their military vests/ military patches because they ride motorcycles, they turn them away even when they show them their IDs!

Burgers were huge, juicy, and DELICIOUS! Great quality and great service! The only thing I didnt particularly care for were the fries, but the burgers are so filling that you dont really need the fries. Cant wait to try the breakfast!

My family and friends have loved this restaurant, everything on the menu is good and the price cannot be beat. Skip the chain restaurants that serve you burgers from a tray or microwave, and get the real meal at Lone Star!

This place is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In addition to great food, they have a full bar with several unique cocktails. Plus, they have some of the best pancakes Ive ever had. Definitely worth a visit.

I loved the burger. I am glad I did not order the bign as my burger was a 1/2 pound of goodness. The Sweet Potato Fries were fresh cut, which I do not remember. Lonestar Burger Bar is on my map!

Absolutely amazing! I LOVE LOVE LOVE peanut butter but never thought to put it on a burger. I tried the pine burger and OH EM GEEEE. AMAZING!
