Id give 5 stars if my crawfish experience here hadnt been so poor. Lately, their BBQ is definitely the best in Orange. Their sweet tea is always great. Not over sweet like most places. Their food is "pricey", but its very good and take into consideration that their mainstay is meat. Meat is pricey. Food costs money people. Go eat at Taco Bell if you want cheap. My only complaint is that the only time I tried crawfish from here a couple years ago they were very poor. Im from Southwest Louisiana and extremely particular about my mud bugs. If they arent cooked and seasoned correctly then theyre a waste. The ones I got were severely overcooked, mushy and were barely able to peel. The flavor was good, but I cant excuse such a delicacy being cooked to mush. I called about the issue and was only offered a couple free BBQ sandwiches. I was given a bad excuse that their crawfish is "field run and all different sizes so they cook inconsistently". Anyone who really knows about cooking crawfish knows that isnt the case. The variation in size on field run isnt nearly enough to cause some to be mush while others are acceptable. Ill definitely be back for their BBQ. One thing to add. They are pick-up only.

I usually have the PITMASTER BBQ sandwich with chopped brisket and a side of coleslaw. The spicy mayo, onions, pickles, and BBQ sauce all blur together in the chopped beef to make a really outstanding flavor and texture. The jalapeno buns just cant hold it all in so you get to enjoy all the pieces that fall out once you are done. The chopped brisket has a great smoky flavor, is tender and is good quality lean beef like you would get with sliced brisket. The employees are great. I enjoyed a sandwich out on the tailgate of my truck in the parking lot one day. As I was finishing, one of the guys came out and asked how it was. I was putting all the napkins and wrappers in the sack and was putting it in my truck to throw away later but he insisted on taking care of it for me. Five stars for flavor, service, and value.

I visited this establishment this evening & ordered 5 lbs of boiled crawfish & 2 stuffed baked potatoes. I was very disappointed in the crawfish because they were way too under cooked. Especially the larger ones. The baked potatoes were great though. Very large. The brisket that it was stuffed with was delicious. Im rating this 2 stars because I went there specifically for the crawfish & I regret to say that I should have spent my money else where. The BBQ is great but if your looking for good crawfish this is definitely not the place to go.

I went here over a week ago looking for some gooood crawfish.... Unfortunately that didnt happen. They were under cooked and small. I also ordered the baked potato which is always good!! I eat here often but I always est the BBQ. That time I tried my luck on their crawfish and was very disappointed. Next time Ill go to Spankys. Im giving them two stars. Under cooked food is a no no!!

The crawfish were not cooked enough, they told me they were medium to large and they were mostly small. I heard good reviews is the reason we went there today and got four pounds but very disappointed

I got the rib plate. When I saw on the sign "4 ribs" I thought, well thats not much. OMG They cooked HOGZILLA in there. Finished 3 (Barely) and needed an afternoon nap after. Great job folks.

One of the best BBQ places I have been. The wait is worth it. It is just a drive through, but if you call ahead you can walk to the window to pick your food up.

Wonderful staff & AMAZING food! The Pit Master with a side of coleslaw is my favorite! The Stuffed Tator with Turkey comes in a very close 2nd! We love The Hut!
