So, tonight my Mom and I went to Golden Corral. (This was our first mistake.) We decided to go there because we couldnt figure out what we wanted and they have a good selection of food. (Us thinking that they had a good selection of food was our second mistake.) The selection of food included burnt pizza and food that was labeled wrong. The buffet line was missing yeast rolls most of the time (Which, lets get real here, that is one of the reasons to go to Golden Corral.) and candy toppings for the soft serve ice cream. There was ice cream that you could dip yourself, but there was no scoop to scoop it... The buffet line did have a really nifty chocolate fountain, but as my Mom was getting her dessert a little boy ran over, stuck his finger in the chocolate, stuck it in his mouth, and then stuck it back into the fountain. (Very unhealthy and disgusting.) The entire time we were at Golden Corral they only had one place out of four that had forks. (They did have spoons at each place, but they were PLASTIC!) Now come on... how can you be out of regular spoons and low on forks?! They only had one person at the front to get people drinks AND ring people up for their dinners. Our next mistake was thinking that the waitress would be competent enough to do her job. Not only was she not able to handle the four tables she had, but she did not speak English. She was way more interested in conversing with the people at her tables (every table but ours) than doing things like clearing off the dirty dishes from our tables and refilling our drinks. Speaking of our drinks, we waited and waited and waited for our waitress to refill our drinks, but she never did. Eventually my Mom got up and went to the front to refill our cups. (You would think that after that the waitress would wake up and start to do her job, but no.) We waited another ten minutes for her to bring my cup back and she did (after my Mom got up and said something to her about it.) I talked to the manager about the situation and he not only lied to me (because he said that it was the first he was hearing about this which was not true because he was standing with our waitress when my Mom told her about my drink.) but he also never, not once, ever told me he was sorry about anything that happened. Needless to say, this will be the last time we go to this Golden Corral. Do not be fooled, they recently had the location "renovated", but only the inside. If you ask me, they need a total "make over" on their servers and management.

Where do I begin...well my friend and I had just recently gotten out of class and were starving. I had not gotten a chance to eat all day so I definitely wanted to go to a buffett so I could get my moneys worth. I initially suggested Cicis Pizza which is in our usual rotation but unfortunately my friend had already eaten Pizza the night before and didnt want it again. We ended up deciding on Golden Corral since it was the only buffett close BIG MISTAKE!!!! As soon as we paid and looked for a table I was overwhelmed with a smell that made me literally gag (i have a strong stomach for smells but this was one of the worst smells Ive ever encountered--it smelled as if spoiled milk and a rotten eggsalad made love for 3 days straight no break). So we tried to find a table away from the smell but it encompassed the whole restaurant! At this point we were both starting to feel physically ill but we had already paid (we are broke college students and cant afford to waste money). So i tried to find anything that looked edible and was prepared in the last decade. The pasta looked clumpy and congealled, the fish and beef smelled off and was cold. Well I guess ill sample the pizza? Nope!! It looked worse than a 5 day old little ceasars. What really set the tone was looking at the plate I grabbed it had brown crust on the outer rim. OMG NASTY STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE. I tried scraping some off with my finger but grabbed another plate. At this point I went for the safest food some beef pieces, broccoli, mushrooms and a roll. The beef was ice cold and foul, broccoli was overcooked and dry. Im still experiencing PTSD from how bad the mushrooms tasted. Suffice to say we asked for a refund. One waiter kept dismissing my concerns about the hygiene of the place so I had to get the manager involved. The only nice person was our Asian waitress! Very accomadating and tried to get us fresh food but we had it. Glad the manager gave us a refund as well. I felt so bad for suggesting to go to this place for lunch. I will never, I will never I repeat will never go to another Golden Corral even though ive had better experiences at others in the past. The food here is not fit for any human or even animal consumption. Stay away!

This is, perhaps, the most disgusting eating establishment I have ever been. I want my $46 back. I really cant even begin to describe the filth that filled this Golden Corral. The floors were covered in food, the space under cabinets, buffet tables, dinning tables, and the desert buffet. When I say covered in food I mean the space between the floor and the bottom of the buffet tables had food swept up under them. The food was swept high (like snow drifts) enough to touch the bottom of the buffet cabinets. The orange chicken was sour (as in spoiled.) The sweet & sour pork tasted like cleaning solution (pine sole maybe?) There was a dirty rag stuffed under the payphone! (wtf?) The bathroom had toilet paper covered in human waste thrown about on the floor. Im getting sick even thinking about I was in this place, touched the tables and actually put a bite of the food in my mouth. I took one bite of the food on my plate and grabbed my family and high tailed it out of the place. Dont get me started on the clientele that were slumped over in their chairs shoveling the disgusting piles of food into their mouths.

Went there with a friend last night. I picked the place because I wanted to try the chocolate fountain. Tried several different foods and didnt really like any of it. Everything just tasted blah and the fried chicken looked kinda bloody inside. A couple labels over the foods were mixed up. The chocolate fountain was ok once they replenished the dipping items, but after I finished eating I felt a bit sick for several minutes. I managed to calm my stomach down and then we left but my arms still had a strange tired feeling like my blood had been rushing through strangely or something. After a couple hours I was ok. The waitress was nice and friendly and attentive for drink refills and taking finished dishes, but that was the only good thing. Really sorry I spent $14 here, Id still be sorry if Id spent $2. I wont be going back.
