First of all, I dont know what people are talking about when they say this food isnt good. This food was perfect. I have had this type of Indian food in Baghdad, Hawaii, Washington state. This food was just fine! The young man at the front desk was super nice and welcoming. They were serving the lunch buffet but I always order vindaloo, so he set me up and asked me to have a seat while I waited for my food. it was about $20 for a portion size perfect for two. Food came out in about ten minutes. I love my food very spicy so I would just get the highest level of spice, as my medium could have been more spicy. I also could have had more chunky pieces of chicken but thats just being critical. I had a great experience at Royal India and highly recommend it to anyone who would like give Indian food a try, since good Indian food is hard to come by in these parts. Thank god I found my new favorite Indian spot. Two thumbs up!!

The cuisine of India is a rarity in Corpus Christi--I was ecstatic when "Little India of Corpus Christi" opened last year. My experience there was lack luster. The staff was slow, aloof, and seemed at a loss to explain any of the dishes or portioning. Now opened under new management and rebranded "Royal India of Corpus Christi"--all of these issues have been fully addressed. There is now a buffet on Sundays that allow the church-rush to experiment with various foods at their own pace. Ill be the first to admit that I dont have very expansive experience with Indian cuisine, but the food seems well prepared and I savor every bite. Whether it is excellent compared to other Indian restaurants in other towns--I have no idea. But to the people of Corpus Christi, this is an excellent and welcome addition to our restaurant scene.

This is the worst Indian restaurant we have ever visited. We waited for almost half an hour to get a table even though tables were available but not sufficient chairs. After 1/2 hr we got seats. No one came to get our order and after so much of push from our side order was taken.Order came in 2 hours ,WOW !! yes we didnt order a magic dish which takes so much of time. Food - Food was noway close to our expectation,it was not even warm (seems like frozen food was microwaved) Manager Sunny Sra was so rude that he didnt even said sorry for all these things rather told us to walk out if you wish to.Such a terrible experience when you are on a vacation with family. I would NOT recommend anyone to visit this restaurant (even if you are fond for Indian food) because of the bad management, services etc.

Excellent seasoning of both dishes that I shared. BASMATI/JASMIN rice (free with every entree ordered) was a nice & AROMATIC change from the normal brown/white (steamed or fried) option at most of the other Asian (Thai/JP/CN) restaurants in Corpus. Average sized portions compared to most Asian-style restaurants in Corpus, above-average quality & average to above-average prices. New management; very nice matronly hostess, very organized & knows her own menu & ingredients. Dual TVs: one Western & one with Eastern dancing, but not an obtrusive volume. Takeaway appetizers came with nice red & green choice of sauces.

Very friendly atmosphere. I had the goat vindaloo (instead of the buffet) and my wife had the kadai chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. It is important to remember that spice levels are different in different cultures and Indian food tends to be a bit spicier than you are used to. I like it hot, so a medium spice was about the right level for me. My wife doesnt like spicy hot food as much and she had the lower level of spice. It was right at the top of her limit. We plan to go back and try the buffet we enjoyed everything so much.

Absolutely delicious!!!!! This place was fantastic and tasted authentic! I walked in and was immediately greeted and taken to my table. This kind older woman helped up (the owner?) was so very helpful to us. I hadnt been here before and she helped me through the menu. She seemed to care about each of her customers and paid extra attention. The Naan was perfect, and the butter chicken was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this resturant to anyone who wants something different in CC!

I eat Indian food all the time and this was some of the worst that I have ever had. And on the window outside it said lunch buffet 9.99 but when I got inside its $13. I dont mind paying $13 if the food tastes good but this did not. Not disgusting. Just not very good. Bland tasting for Indian food, not to mention they have small paper cups with plastic spoons for the desert. Cmon guys....I will never go back to this one...

I am really impressed with this restaurant. They have a fabulous buffet and also offer excellent choices from the menu as well as great specials. Today the special is dosas. Dosas are a crepe-like dish that is made with chickpea and/or lentil flour. They are stuffed with sautéed veggies and incredibility delicious. Seeing them on a menu means that you have a very skilled chef at the restaurant. Wow!

I have only been here for the lunch buffet, but it has never disappointed. The food was fresh, hot, and full of so much flavor. The naan was the best. I swear I wipe out the naan each time I go there. The staff is always friendly and if you have any questions about the food, theyre always will to answer and give recommendations. Im glad theres finally some Indian food here in corpus. I missed it!

They inside is very spartan with seating on cafeteria tables and chairs. It is also lacking no background music or ambience. Not a place I recommend to take someone on a dinner date. But the food is excellent at least what I ordered. I highly recommend the place to pick up the food for take out. I ordered the Lamb Korma with the rice and a order of garlic Naan bread, delicious!!!

So so so good!!! Took my guy to his first Indian experience. He devoured the food. I use to live in India and it was on par! We got samosas as appetizers (dont forget to dip them in the sweet red and spicy green sauce), chicken korma, chicken masala, mutter paneer, and garlic naan. I am so stuffed in a good way. Glad I checked this place out on my last cheat meal day!

We tried their buffet . It was pretty good . ( except one of the chicken dishes which we think could have been better . But maybe it was sub-par just that day .)Happy to find an Indian restaurant in Corpus Christi ! Would definitely recommend it to others . Try their sag paneer ( spinach and paneer cheese) , samosas with tamarind chutney among other things !

I thought the food was fantastic...very authentic. Some dishes very spicy but that is a hallmark of Indian Cuisine but nothing was inedible. Fresh homemade nann bread..hmm hmm. I also understand that the dishes change regularly. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the next time.
