I was disappointed. The food wasnt as good as the reviews said. My husband got the "everything but the kitchen sink" omelette and said that it wasnt very good for the price. The crazy thing was that he is an omelette lover. My daughter got the Texas waffle which was over-priced and she said was hard and small. She was expecting a huge waffle or even medium sized, but the waffle was so small it should be called the Oklahoma waffle. I got a waffle with chicken strips and the only thing I thought was ok were the chicken strips.(Even though they werent the best) My father and brother both got burgers which were ok. nch platesHow can you mess up a burger? I also got some soup which was not tasty, it was watered down. Strangely, we didnt get cornbread and biscuits like the many tables around us and our service was slower than the other party of 7. (We were a party of 7) The price was bad as well. My husband and I agreed that everything was over-priced. The service was slow and the wait beforehand was, too, which wouldve been fine if our food and experience was better. It took our waiter a long time to take our order and come back with our order. The best part I believe is the view we had on the porch and even that wasnt much to look at. I guess the most disappointing thing is that it had such good reviews and was crawling with people, so we were excited to go. We were expecting big things from this place, so we feel our 1-star review is a little low possibly but just reviewing on our experience. Dont understand why so many people want to come here, which is why were so confused and feel we have to give it another shot. Who knows, maybe it was our luck or just bad timing or the stars werent aligned properly but we feel well have to go back and this time well get only hot lunch plates.

Im a several years regular customer of Our Place. I usually eat there 1-2 times a week. I had 2 regular breakfast orders for ever until the owner found out. The first was bacon and eggs with a half order of bacon added which I alternated with the southern scramble, subbing toast for the biscuit. When the owner found out about the half order of bacon, he nixed it and wouldnt allow me to order it any longer. Evidently, the cooks get confused when they have to divide 4 by 2. Thats what he told me. My order, that I had ordered for over a year, confused the cook. This is made more confusing due to my new order where I sub a slice of ham for 2 slices of bacon. (maybe Im outing myself and that will be nixed next!?) My second mainstay lasted a few months longer before he found out about my substitution of toast for biscuit. The rub here was that the cook was putting 2 pieces of toast and covering it accordingly with the toppings. That wouldnt do because the original dish only used 1 biscuit. So my other staple that Ive ordered for years was cut in size. The toppings were also cut due to taking less of each to cover 1 slice of toast. I still enjoy the food. Both breakfast and lunch are excellent at Our Place. The servers and other staff are friendly and I dont see myself changing my routine. The weekends can have extreme waits but I usually go on weekdays. I would have given 5 Stars if one of my regular orders had survived but Our Place looses a star due to what I consider to be poor Mgmt decisions that directly effected my dining experience. Hes a nice guy too but I still scratch my head when I think about this stuff.

The place is great. The staff is well trained. We were seated quickly. The iced tea was very good. I was looking really forward to the chicken fried steak. I read the positive reviews and had my hopes up. The verdict? Meh. First off, it arrives barely warm. The sides are scalding hot. The waitress asks if if everything is OK. I tell her about the luke warm entre. "Ill take care of that!" and wisks my food away. She is back a minute later with hot food and new sides. Its the same piece of meat. Obviously, its been nuked. It tastes like its been processed, like they bought it already made. My wifes chicken fried chicken looked totally different, hand breaded deep fried. I was so disappointed. Ate a few more bites and pushed the plate away. I try to eat healthy. Every so often I like to splurge. But it better taste yummy or whats the point? I met the owners when they did business with me. I cant say that Ill be back. Everything was great except for what mattered most. Ive had great chicken fried steak. This wasnt it. My server Sara gave excellent customer service and I let her know and tipped her well.

Me and a few other of my friends went there today after hearing that this place was off the chain a person coming out of Babes in Arlington was saying if you want good food that we needed to try Our Place in Mansfield so while out and about today we had to try it so we went and oh my the pies in the case looked so good and just calling your name. We had to get on the waiting list due to a lot of people so we said sure why not its full and the pies look great the food has to be good while waiting a lady called our name and just as we are about to get shown to the table another lady that was also sitting people turned to the lady about to lead us to our table and told her we dont have enough room for them they are gonna to block the table so the lady turns to us and says oh the table has been taken totally uncool and unprofessional we was shocked at the ladies doing that so with out an explanation to us they sat a larger group then ours and we had 5 that was so uncool I WONT GO THERE TO TRY IT OUT AND IS VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THE BEHAVIOR OF THE LADIES THUMBS WAY DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total disappointment!! We were there with a party of 7 and it took us about 45 minutes to be seated, although numerous people who came in after us were seated before us. The hostess staff was rude. Then comes the food....NOT GOOD, and Definitely Not Home-cooked. I ordered the breakfast sampler, I ordered an egg omelet with tomatoes on top, they bring out a scrambled egg with tomatoes and then proceed to tell me that they dont make omelets, I should have left then. The grits were watered down, No Flavor, the sausage patty was store bought, Yuck! My son has a severe allergy to eggs, and they wouldnt allow us to substitute for grits, in turn we ended up paying $3 for a bowl of watery, tasteless grits that he didnt even eat. I had to send my hashbrown back twice, the first time it was burnt, yes burnt. When I tried talking with "the manager" she was rude and offensive. For myself and my son our bill ended up costing $25. This was my first and last time at this place, Never Again. This totally ruined it. I shouldve went to IHOP.
