Don’t be fooled by the run down appearance. Bangkok Thai serves up generous portions of reasonably priced authentic Thai food. The worst aspect is trying to figure out what the dishes are from the brief descriptions accompanying the poor quality pictures on their menu. Another warning is their dishes tend to be a little spicier than what you would normally expect. So be cautious when ordering (Medium is pretty spicy, hot will bring tears to your eyes in not blisters!) That said, you can get it any level of spice you want – just ask. I doubt you’ll be hungry when you finish, especially if you start with the Bangkok rolls! One order is enough to share. Compared to Bangkok, Thai Thai’s portions are small and more expensive.

I had never had Thai food before but a friend brought me along. He has ate Thai food in many different places before and said this was by far the best. The place is a little sketchy from the outside but let me tell you, dont let that scare you away. Inside you will find some of the most authentic Thai food ever. It was absolutely amazing. The price was very inexpensive for the amount of food you get. The service was just fine. Dont expect someone to do everything for you, but that is part of the whole experience. WOW, just wow! We came back the next day for more!!! I have been converted to a Thai food lover by this place. I am so glad I tried it. The food was just, wow!!!

Good little hole in the wall. The prices are right and the portions are hefty. In the same way every mom cooks a kitte differently than the another, this thai place seasons their dishes a little different. The food is extremely authentic. The hot and sour soup is good and much heartier here than i am used to. It also has a stonger taste than i have had at other restaurants. The pad thai is grilled hot on a frier and has a very tasty underlying smokey taste. It compliments well with the thai honey. Overal good and worth trying. Bring a broke friend just in case you cant finish your portion.

Me and my husband had went there and I ordered the cream cheese filled appetizer drinks ,rice noodles with shrimp, and noodles with beef broccoli and gravy.... The Main dishes were HORRIBLE and I gagged before spitting out my first bite. Not sure if it was the sauce or what but they refused to give back the $ on the main dishes and then actually requested that we dont come back...lol. I didnt argue cuz that was the worse food Ive had In a long time! Cooks did not have hair nets on and atmosphere looked dirty...

This is a low key Thai place with a large variety of dishes on the menu. The pad Thai is good, but not my favorite. I would recommend some of the other for some unique flavors. This is a local family run business. Cheap prices, large portions. Food is steaming hot and prepared fresh. It can be pretty busy. The building is a little sketchy, but that kind of adds to the impression of south East Asian food. Somehow reminds me of a place you would see on Anthony Bourdain - just right here in Lubbock.

Before I say anything about their food, I must say that their interior and exterior are quite run down. The place does not give the impression that it is particularly hygenic. The interior can use a fresh coat of paint at least! I love Thai food. I sampled many Thai restaurants in many different cities, and I was quite desperate for a good Thai restaurant when I moved to Lubbock. I tried two dishes at this place, seafood soup and fried rice. The seafood

Great Thai food!! My husband, 4 kids, and I loved this place. We are from western Washington where Thai food is like Texas BBQ, very popular and only the best survive. We were skeptical of good Thai in Lubbock of all places, but this place was great. Total hole in the wall but great sear and flavor. We ordered chicken satay, Tom kah gai, Pud kee moo, panaang chicken and we were soo stuffed, for 6 people! Delicious!

This is hands down the most authentic, and flavorful of any Thai Food I have EVER had. Every time I travel I go find Thai places, and nothing even comes close to bangock. Great staff, better food, and they arent scared to burn your ass up when you ask for the extra spicy. As long as I live in LBK I will be eating here at least 2 times a week. Easy.

One of my favorite restaurants of all time. I eat here 3-4 times a week and I am known by my name/order. Chicken Panang Curry hot/Thai hot is my go to every time! Every person ive taken to this place has fallen in love and its quick and cheap. great for a casual lunch date. Meal for two under $20 and i get an appetizer or two with it

Bangkok Thai is the best place to eat thai food in Lubbock. I recommend their bangkok special. If you ask for something spicy here you wont be sending it back because its too mild. The only thing bad I can say about this place is that their pad thai is okay and they need to clean their window seals. Great food overall and very cheap.

Best Thai in Lubbock by far. Also do not miss their hibachi dinner selections. Better than the Hibachi steak houses in Lubbock plus you get more for less money! Portions on all dishes are large. Family owned and the owners after a while will no you by name. Like I said best there is in Lubbock.

From out of town - I was Googleing for Thai food and spotted this restaurant. Picked up a take-out order of Cashew Chicken (very fresh!) and THE BEST, most hearty egg drop soup Ive ever eaten!! This was a surprisingly delicious discovery - will definitely be back when in Lubbock again!

Compared to the other Thai options in Lubbock, this one falls short. I ordered Pad Thai once for take out and there was standing water in my take out box and it tasted horrible. Some of the other dishes are better, and probably eating at the restaurant is better than take out I would say.

I love this place. They have some of the best Thai food in Lubbock and their prices are amazing for the amount of food that you get. I usually get the Thai Curry and the Hot and Sour soup when I go and it lasts me for two meals. All of that for less than $10 is insane.

Everything is good here. Best Thai in Lubbock. The beef noodle soup is my go to favorite but havent had anything bad here it is all delicious. I like medium heat and my husband likes his Thai hot. They always deliver great heat and depth of flavors here.

I crave the beef noodle soup especially when Im sick. My son just orders egg drop soup and fried rice and loves it. My other family members like the pad Thai but I dont care for the sauce. Fast, cheap, authentic little hole in the wall.
