one word Excellent! that wait was a bit long (45min) but that is to be expected with a new venue. we were greeted quickly once inside and shown to outlr table. The floorplan is an open one and very easy to navigate. despite this however they achieved a very personal experience and ambiance. The Server we had whose name was Tyle was exceptional! from the moment she greeted us we just "knew" we were going to have a very enjoyable evening. she was very prompt in her service to ours and other tables, but allowed time to make small talk with the patrons to make them feel important and that they are the only ones in the resturant. so next up is the Food.... BY FAR THE BEST FOOD IN LONGVIEW! the Ahi Tuna nachos left me speechless. i have been all over the world that this is by far the best combination i have found. The 9oz Maudeen filet were good. cooked well and very tender. the only complaint we had was that the seasoning was a bit overpowering for the delicate filet. desert was the strawberry cheese cake. this to was top notch! you know how some cheesecakes are just so rich you can only eat mabye a few bites.... this was not that. deep cheesecake flavor but light and creamy. simply enjoyable. The sauce was excellent. The managers were very attentive and helpful. overall excellent experiance and i recommend this to anyone in and around longview.

I absolutely love Saltgrass food and will probably always go when there is one near me. Even though it is hard on the pocketbook, its worth it. This particular Saltgrass has great servers. We have had one server a couple of times named Brandy and one named Tyle and let me tell you, they deserved EVERY BIT of the tips we gave. They are so friendly and attentive to everyone around them. I dont think we just got lucky either. Im very observant and you can tell they took pride in the service they gave. That being said, I cannot give 5 stars because 2 of the 3 times we went, the food took FOREVER!!!! Management was apologetic and thats nice, but I feel there should be a way to tell that food is taking too long and find a way to fix it. When you wait 30-45 minutes for a table and 45 minutes to an hour for food, you just cant help but be annoyed. BUT... Food comes out great most every single time, so I was surprised to read other reviews complaining of their food. Its the best youll find around here, for sure.

Oh man where do I start. Saltgrass is by far one of my favorite places to go in other cities, so me and some friends made a reservation for 7:30pm on a Sunday. They were not busy at all, didnt get sat until 30 minutes after the reservation. Ordered drinks and watched them sit at the bar for at least 15 minutes until I asked for our drinks that we could see. Wasnt sure if they were ours so I didnt want to be pushy, they were. Ordered an appetizer, salad, and main meal. They all showed up to the table at the SAME TIME about 45 min after they were ordered. New York strip was okay, bit fatty and didnt feel like a 12oz. They dont salt their baked potatoes. I could understand a lot of these issues, if they were busy. They were not. Maybe understaffed, but not busy. Wont go again, Texas Roadhouse for me next time.

Saltgrass is one of my favorite restaurants to stop in at while visiting the Dallas area, so naturally when I heard we were getting one local I was ecstatic. My husband and I finally got a night away from the kids and stopped in for a quiet dinner. It was terrible. The service and the food. Our appetizer was forgotten and finally came out cold moments before our cold main course was brought out. Our main course came before our salads and they were nonchalantly brought out to be eaten halfway through our meal. The entire experience was a disaster. It wasnt at peak hours, I watched our waitress help bus a table, there was no excuse for the terrible service or crap food. The manager finally caught wind and tried to blame the loss of the football game on the kitchen staffs failure to make food. Never again.

The wait wasnt long. We were excited to try the new location but was disappointed. We ordered drinks and appetizers, to start with. Bread wasnt available at the time. We both ordered steaks and upgraded the salads. I had to do some trimming on mine but it was still good. The biggest disappointment was the stakes. They did not look like 8 oz anything. Way over cooked! Even the potatoes were over cooked. We brought the cook to our three steak to the waitress attention, she got a manager. We were not really making a big deal out of it. Just told her it was over cooked and we showed her. We didnt want another one if was already late. I think the big surprise was the bill! $85.00 for the same things we order at Texas Road House, with 2 drinks we usually spend about $50.00. I wont be doing that again.

Wanted to like this place so badly. Went during lunch time. The usual wait, around 10-15 minutes for a seat. Not bad for a sit down restaurant. Saw the lunch menu, ordered and waited. Eventually received our drinks (water) almost 10 minutes later. When our food came out, my work partner and I were both a little taken back at the amount for the price paid. 100% over priced food, that taste and appears as if it was frozen in a bag then warmed up in an industrial size microwave. For lunch on average, you will pay around $14-$25. And the portion size is more like brunch. There are MUCH better options around the loop for half that or a little less and quality food. This place has been a huge disappointment unfortunately. Their service however, is much better than place like BJs brewhouse.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food! I had the surf and turf. 10oz ribeye medium that was divine and 5 BBQ shrimp which were THE best shrimp Ive ever had (wrapped in bacon with cream cheese and BBQ sauce) the price for surfree and turf was $30 without drinks. I had a mangria alcoholic beverage which cost $10 which was A Lil sour but good after I got used to something different. Overall great dining experience. Bill for 3 people was $135 + tip which included 3 drinks all together. A little pricey but very good. Youll leave full but your wallet wont be.

ITS A NEW LOCATION AND DEFINATLY NEEDS SOME TWEAKING. THE WAITRESS WAS GREAT AND WE TIPPED HER VERY WELL BUT THEY TOOK OUR IDS TO TO BACK OF THE RESTAURANT TO VERIFY OUR OUT OF STATE IDS WHICH WAS A LITTLE WEIRD AND MADE MY DATE VERY UNEASY. AND THE MEAT THEY FIRST SERVED WAS KINDA VERY UNDERCOOKED. IN THERE DEFENSE IT WAS A HUGE PORK CHOPS VERY THICK AND PROBABLY NEW COOKS. (NEW LOCATION) BUT THEY STEAK WAS ALSO UNDERCOOKED. I DONT KNOW I AVE BEEN WAITING TO TRY SALTGRASS MY THE LOCATION AT BY MY HOUSE WILL BE BETTER. MAYBE ONE DAY ILL TRY IT.
