I love the food, but the customer service is horrible. I live nearby, so when I decide to treat myself to fried chicken Id expect good service @ least once- not likely. They should implement an order taking procedure of repeating orders back to customers n suggesting a gsauce purchase for those that don't know its NOT included. The final horrible experience that spawned this review was from a visit 11.30.11 @ 9:56pm Drive-thru O-ID 004 receipt# 0276 -ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE LEAVING TO ENSURE IT'S ALL THERE! Our gsauce was forgotten, we ordered it, but weren't charged for it. This wouldn't have been a big deal if we didn't have to wait to order because the cashier wasnt at the window and the other workers were sitting in the dining area. She was obviously too concerned with doing whatever else instead of the drive thru that our order was incomplete. I called to speak with them and was given the person on drive thru. She suggested I check my food before leaving and I suggested they repeat orders back. She offered to bring the food back, recook, and add gsauce, but who wants to do that after a long shift at darn near 10pm?? Besides it was a total waste because what is a wing pack w/o gsauce

Okay, I am very new to Kansas City, I wanted to try some of this chicken that Ive heard about and read reviews about, needless to say I am very, very, disappointed... the service was horrible, the drive-thru slow, the front window was rude, she messed my order up and then threw my food back at me without so much as an apology, or anything. The chicken nasty; greasy, very small pieces, with no seasoning other than salt. Im sad that this is what KCMO has to offer as the best! Ive traveled all over and have always been open- minded about trying new things. This was a disaster, plain and simple. I tried the snack pack, with mashed potatoes and cole slaw....ewww! The gravy was yellow! And looked like pastry glaze! Coleslaw was old, and runny. As though they added water to stretch it. If I could give less than one, I would. I will say that the rolls and sweet tea were good. So theres that.

I ordered through the drive-thru this evening. The man with french braids going back and a hat on needs serious customer service training. He was rude and pretty much an *sshole. I almost asked for my money back but was headed to work and only stopped by since no one was in the drive-thru. No reason for his attitude. I remained calm which usually isnt in my nature. I wasnt going to let 1 miserable individual ruin my day. That was the last of my money this place will see. Ive been coming for years and never received such rude customer service. I will take my business elsewhere. Also whether I buy a full or half order I get the same amount. I simply asked how did they determine the amount and on came the bs attitude and rudeness. I will be contacting corporate also and telling others of my experience.

Well I wasnt going to write a review but now I am I always come to this location always get half order of gizzards and my husband always gets the wing dinner anyways to make this short we went about 11:40pm and when we got home to open the boxes we only had about 9 gizzards in the box wow never happen before so I called the location sup was nice but didnt really make up for the lost gave a excuse about they always put the on the scale but anyways whatever oh well its sad you have to always go to Overland Park to get the right service but I will from now on or kck

Its not worth it anymore. You spend 10 to 15 minutes in line (in or outside) only to pay for a full order but you only get LESS THAN half a box. This used to be one of my favorite spots to eat at. Not anymore. You dont get what you pay for like you used to. There used to be a time where two people (or more) could share a box of gizzads. Now they are ridiculously stingy with their portions & yet their prices have gone...go figure. Plus they have a bunch of ill mannered kids run their register & windows. Nope. Lesson learned. I wont be going back.

Man this is the best chicken i ever tasted. every thing was perfect. i was given great customer service. there was this one woman named quaylisha she works the drive thru and everything was right i dont know what that hater earlier was talking about. and then there was this nice lady named tasha. she made sure everything in my bag was perfect and gave me free peppers. and when i was disabled after breaking my ankle this cool guy named khalif brought my food out voluntarily. best customer service ever. i love to see that chicken go

I have to admit, I was completely confused with my most recent visit. Growing up in KC I always thought this place had the best gizzards in the world so imagine my disappointment when I brought my husband (a Chicago native) here for the first time and the food was mediocre, at best. Oh well, though. I wont ever eat here again but then, again, KC has so many other food options.

I love Go Chicken Go the food is fresh, hot, tasty, and the cashiers are very friendly and helpful. this is the best go chicken go location better than the ones in KS. So go ahead and stop by it is worth it the chicken,gizzards, rolls, dessert, and mash are banging!!! And dont forget to grab you some of that G-Sauce!!!

After eating here for 35 yrs. I finally ate here for the last time. When a 1/2 order Mixed turns into 1/4 for the same price because your weighting your either hurting for money or your on your way out of business. Skimping customers on portion sizes only ensures youll be closing soon as we wont be back.

Livers and gizzards with go sauce are killer. Even better out of the fridge the next day. Drive through is open late on the weekend. If you want good fried chicken and sides come here. If you want fast and friendly service go somewhere else. If you like spicy stuff get a side of the carrots theyre

Ive been wanting to try this place for 35 years. Disappointed. No taste. Tried the 3 piece meal. Rude employees. Prices are too high. My white privilege was no help here today. I dont eat much fast food but I know that Churchs is way better. Im not sure how they beat Strouds?

Chicken and G-Sauce was good. There was a ten minute wait, which I was fine with. When they came out with my chicken they gave me a meal and a drink instead of just the snack I ordered. That was really nice of them, the staff was also very friendly.

The last time I place an order for freshly cooked gizzards and livers, I received the opposite. I had freshly cooked ones before and they are really good. I gave them 2 stars because this is the second time the food was a disappointment.

Love Go Chicken Go. Most people are quick to talk about the livers and gizzards, but personally, I just love the fried chicken. Best sides are macaroni & cheese and those awesome rolls (get extras, you will want them). Delicious sweet tea too!
