I went in thinking it will be a nice fun place. When I walk in the hostess and waitress are just talking (i understand that maybe the waitress was needing a breather)...but they looked connfused when i stood there waiting ot be seated then finally i said table for 1. I got seated and it was nice (had to change sides since guy behind me kept jolting back and i could feel it). Waiter came quickly got my drink order and was very nice/friendly and answered questions i had about if shrimp was on the sashimi plate and if so will be replaced (I wont have shrimp on any dish i eat). The appetizer/side came in reasonable time- they were noodles- and tasted okay no problems. It had a nice glaze on it (little too saucey but can see how most will like it). After a while my sashimi finally came. No biggie because i was sitting there relaxing and drinking my wine. FInally the plate came....right in the middle was shrimp. so i put it on an extra dish on the table and kinda poke at the items. I asked the waiter if I could have two other pieces of fish since i specifically asked no shrimp and was assured but he just stood there confused then walked off (figured he would bring me the fish in a bit but replacements never came). I try the salmon, tuna, imposter crab, and egg....they were okay (not fantastic). the salmon tasted not so fresh but wouldnt kill me. The mackrel was there not at all my favorite due to the strong taste but I try it anyway...Right away I spit it into a napkin..tasted way to pungent for me and made me feel ill. I ate half the ginger and little wine and water to get the tast out of my mouth. and try the salmon and notice the edge looks a little brown and discolored....this cant be good but i eat it anyway...the piece of salmon tasted bad and i had some plastic film or something i took out of my mouth.....after the bad salmon i couldnt eat anymore...whole dish a waste of money. Sorry but I did not find the fish to be at all fresh and the noisey kids that were on the other side of the wall towards the end of the meal were not help....but the water was nice.

Believe it or not, this little hole in the wall is a great restaurant. Going to a favorite discovered or happened to stumble upon restaurant. Kobee is a hole–in–the–wall restaurant that is not pretentious but modest, very friendly, eclectic atmosphere. Kobee is family owned one of a kind restaurant.. Called a hole in the wall restaurant because from the street pretty much all you see is a double small door and maybe a window or two, it might easily be overlooked but once discovered is a place that offers a taste of asia. Meals consist of only the freshest ingredients complimented with a variety of light sauces that produce delicious and healthy meals! Your meal will begin with appetizer shrimp, vegetables and fried rice. For your dinners, you can choose any combination of marvelous quality steak, the most tender filet mignons, juicy chicken and/or succulent shrimp, scallops, salmon and lobster.

I went there and it looks very old. The carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced. The service was horrible. I asked for iced tea and it was really watered down almost to the point of being just water. I waited a long time to order and asked the waitress for assistance. She looked at me and walked off. I will not be going back.

By far the best hibachi experience in East Texas. The food is incredible and the fried rice is unlike anything I have ever tasted. I always order the Combination meal, which is steak and chicken, and it is great every time. If you havent been, this is a must try.

Good food reasonably priced, doesnt take itself too seriously yet consistently puts out above average sushi. Ive tried other places in town but I always come back here because I know they wont disappoint me. Try the sushi nachos as a side. They are truly awesome.

Yes! Coming from Atlanta this place is a great break from the other typical over priced, tasteless, and all around bad Japanese and Chinese restaurants in East TX. Im very happy with my visit to Kobee! I will definitely be returning!

Absolutely the best restaurant in Longview, and its not close. REALLY good. A "must" if youre in the area. Be sure to ask the chef for their "white" sauce. Fried rice is excellent also.

I get sick everytime I eat there. And they dont mention this but the fried rice they offer will show up as an extra $4.95 each on your bill! RIP-OFF!!!
