As one that visits Galveston quite a lot, I know this is the best place in Galveston to get a good pint. They have usually 2 - 3 beers on draft of their making. The rest of the beers are a sampling of a wide variety of beers, most coming from Texas. (I can say frankly that microbrews in Texas have come a very long way in the last 5-10 years & are producing high quality beers -- enough to rival states like Colorado.) They also do the fantastic "Flights & Bites" on the first Wednesday of the month which pairs 4 different 4 oz. (a "flight") with food for $10.00. I encourage you to go; but go early as food can go fast sometimes. Wednesday night is always a flight night which runs $5.00. If you like variety or are open to new experiences, the flight is for you. The atmosphere is typically good but work week nights can be a little slow. But if you like it to not be so noisy, have a beer chill, hang with a few regulars, & maybe listen to music from the jukebox, that is your time to go. On weeknights after or around 10 p.m. things pick up as the industry crown shows up. If you like a younger crowd & plan on staying up late on a week night; this is your time to go. Its a great place to go watch games, too. All in all, if youre a true beer aficionado, this is where you want to go on the island. Remember that the next time you are thirsty.

On Saturday, 5-10-14 at approximately 6pm, my friends and I entered the Beerfoot establishment for a drink. One person in the group recently turned 21 in April of this year; she had a valid Texas drivers license to prove her age. Upon ordering from a short male bartender with a beard, we were asked for our IDs. When my friend presented her ID, the bartender refused to serve her because her ID said "under 21". Even though the dates on her Texas ID specifically stated that she was of legal age to drink. The bartender claimed that TABC would not allow him to serve her legally because her ID said "under 21". Clearly, this person did not know what he was talking about. This place was our first stop of the evening, everyone was completely sober, and because the bartender refused to serve my friend for a made up reason, we left without making any purchases. I wouldnt be surprised if my friend thought he was discriminating against her for racial or other reasons, considering the blatant falsity of his reasoning for refusing to serve her.

So I hear about the wed 5 dollar flights and thought we would stop by on the recommendation of a local. After sitting in a booth for 25 min without even someone looking our way it was to much. We were even kind of joking about seeing how long it would take. We did hear from the friend who recommend the place while we were there. Seems that the place is know for lets say poor service. You maybe are supposed to go to the bar to order? Not that I would know since after 25 min of being ignored Im not giving them my money. I left. I am surely not going to pass some kind of coolnest test or reward horrible service by handing them my cash

I give it five stars for the great local craft beer selection but three stars for the lack of bar snacks. I love peanuts but that wont pad my high octane brews I like. At least a hamburger. Just one, nothing fancy, only something to put in my stomach.

Great craft beer bar with lots of options. They even have a couple of their own beers on draft. Very clean inside with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Close to the water and a great place to grab a drink.
