We love the pizzas at Cavalli and have been frequent customers but a recent experience has gotten us to reconsider. We were a group of 6 and had just finished eating our pizzas when the server placed a dessert pizza on our table. We all looked at each other wondering who ordered it. The server then brougth in the clean plates for the desert. We couldnt determine who ordered it but the pizza looked very appealing. So we all dug into the dessert pizza with gusto. Just as we finished the pizza one of the owners came over to our table and sort of accused us of devouring a pizza that was mistakenly delivered to our table. Normally, when a restaurant makes a mistake, whatever it maybe, they come to the table to apologize to the customers. This is the first time we have experienced the restaurant management accusing customers for a mistake they made. We did not mind paying for the pizza but we certainly did not like the fact that we were blamed for a mistake they made. I have to point out that I have had much better experiences at Cavallis in the past.

After years of being a loyal customer and after years of many local referrals in the Las Colinas community, the rude and poor customer service that the owners sister displayed tonight shall result in my no longer supporting or referring this restaurant. Heres what happened. My familys ticket was lost and the order was never made. After waiting 25 minutes and seeing others that came in after us get their order was a red flag that something wasnt right. So my husband asked her about the order. She did not apologize for the lost ticket or failed order. So we requested a refund. Then she proceeded to tell the kitchen to cancel the order because we couldnt wait 25 minutes for the pizza. And after trying to correct her, we were asked to leave the restaurant. They lost the ticket, did not apologize, and kicked us out. Im still in disbelief that this occurred. I will be sharing this experience with everyone I encounter from local schools to my nearby work place to local organizations, etc.

Absolutely incredible, authentic ITALIAN pizza--oven-fired. Havent had pizza this perfect since LIVING in Italy many years ago. My mother is from northern Italy (green card and everything). SHE loves this place. There are two Cavallis that I know of in the area...one in Irving, waaaaay up Belt Line Road, towards I-635, and the other in Plano, I believe. Been to both, and they are superb. Food may take a little while to prepare, but I can promise you: You will NOT be disappointed! I wish they were open longer hours...but even if Cavallis was open only one day a week, Id say they earned their time off...(Id be the first person in line when they opened, though!) ALL of their food and service is impeccable. Enjoy if you get a chance to go!! Wish I was going WITH YOU!!

Cavallis use to be excellent, but the owner went to McKinney and left a bunch of kids in charge. Quality has taken a dive. Crust is too thick, burned and tasteless. Two basil leaves on a medium pizza and they left out the garlic. They burn the pizza on top and bottom. And that for a pricey pizza. Caesar salad features a plate full of the white rib part of the lettuce. Nothing green. Sad to say I wont be going there anymore and I use to go every Friday nite along with others whom I have not seen in several months. Im a goner, too. Im trying Spin Pizza on MacArthur this p.m. Its gto the Neopolitan designation, too and is suppose to be the real Italian pizza. Hope so.

The food was actually good when they catered an event at my house last night but they set the heated food tins on my wood dining room table and ruined it. I sent the owner a picture of the table this morning asking him to repair the table and he called and blamed the situation on me. Such a sad situation because we cater a lot of parties and because he is refusing to fix the situation we will never use this company again and I would advise no one else to either. Because they did not have a knowledgeable person setting up for the catering job we are going to have to pay thousands of dollars to have a $20000 dollar table refinished.

Ive been here twice and honestly its ok. Today was the 2nd time and the pizza had very visible char marks around the crust, where I guess the flames had licked the dough until it turned black. It wasnt just visual though since biting into those portions actually gave a nasty burnt taste. It wasnt completely covered in burn marks of course but for a place that states its certified in pizza making I guess I expected better. Honestly I would rate this just the same or maybe even a tiny bit less than any national pizza chain found everywhere. If you want a very fast pizza though they are not kidding when they say it cooks in 90 seconds

Black burnt crust is authentic taste? It really doesnt matter what ingredients are used once they are burnt black, it taste the same. Black charcoal dust on my fingers and "mud" on the plates..not my idea of good tasting pizza. After complaining, was told that burnt crust is the normal authentic quality pizza one should expect at Cavallis. They made us another one, and yep it was burnt too. Maybe if you didnt put the pizza directly in the actual flame and just used the heat to cook it?? But what do I know about authentic.

Excellent place my wife and I came hete for a pizza and had a for great time, the atmosphere its great the pizza its well prepared and made in a proper pizza oven, you can BYOW which is great and the desserts are great we tried the zeppole and it was amazing I recommend a side of nutella for an extra kick. For the pizzas we tried the Salamino pizza very well done with good smoky flavor from the smoked mozzarella all and all a great place.

This is literally the best resturaunt around coppell irving area. They dont have pasta dishes but what they do have completly makes up for that. Their bruscheta is to die for i would really eat it as my last meal. I always get their chicken blt. And their pizzas are hand crafted and wood fired there is no better pizza. Thet never seem overly busy you get to seat yourself and its byob. This place is phenominal.

Probably the best pizza Ive had in Dallas, though its hard to compare since I havent had any other wood-fired pizza in Dallas. I had mine with meatball and ricotta. The toppings and sauce seemed just right, but the crust felt off just a bit and was soggy before the pizza was half done. Also, if you dont want to smell a little smokey or if smoke in the air makes you misty-eyed, you may want to sit outside.

It cannot get any more authentic. Ever heard less is more? Heres the proof. Not the overloaded greasy American abomination we call pizza. Delicate crust, great ingredients and simply perfection on a plate. The tiramisu is real. With real lady fingers. Not the factory assembled tiramisu cake they sell everywhere else. No alcohol but they welcome if you bring your own. Perfection!!!
