One part Coffee house. One Part international grocery store. Two parts bakery. The Argentina Bakery is to local coffee houses what lasers are to light bulbs! It’s owned by an actual human being and run by family members. Every person behind the counter is a stakeholder in the success of their store and they take quality and customer service to a whole new level. They have lighted cases stocked with handmade pastries, cakes, pies, tarts and delicacies my humble upbringing doesn’t have words for. And these aren’t any normal pastries, pies cakes and tarts! No! They require other alphabets to describe but the nice people who work there translate so that you can order what you actually want to eat. It’s exotic but friendly. It’s welcoming yet completely new. The food is different but so interesting your taste buds will be transfixed. On the other side of a small island of hip-yet-comfortable-seating, they have international foods with easy-to-understand pictures on the outside so you take home something that you know will be yummy. Their espresso is the actual thing. Their macchiatos are high octane. I’ve been told that their Turkish coffee should come with a warning that says “You must be 18 years of age to ride this ride.” The Argentina Bakery will cater. In fact, if you call ahead, they will probably help you with your next holiday gathering. If you really want to impress your spiffy friends, this would be a good place to start. Long ago, when the inventors of the “cookie cutter coffee house” was born, they HOPED to high heaven that they could compete with the specter of coffee houses like the Argentina Bakery.

I have gone here multiple times, trying to like this place...but it just doesnt seem to work out. The service is typically horrible, if you can get someone to come out from the back. The staff come across as disinterested in new clientele, somewhat lazy in their pace and actions. Quality of the espresso-based drinks is subpar. The pan dulces and bakery items are pretty good but a bit pricey and to enjoy them youd have to get a quality drink elsewhere. Empanadas are okay but way too expensive for what they are. Different (fried) but much better empanadas can be found down the street at EmpaMundo. They have wifi but it has been slow every time Ive been and the seating situation has been hit or miss, but this isnt really somewhere to work out of...and yet it also isnt somewhere Id come to relax due to poor overall experience as well as consistently annoyingly-loud music. I wanted to fall in love with this place after seeing the magnificent pastry case...but the service and atmosphere are off-putting and the products dont do much to make up for it. BeltLine is full of gems but this is definitely not one of them.

My husband and I love this place. The first time we went here all we saw was the word "bakery" so were thinking typical overly sugary, dense style cake, pastries etc. We were thrown off by the selections and asked a lot of questions when we figured out this was something completely different. You have to go into the place with the understanding that this is a regional-specific establishment. The food is not typical at all. If you want to try something different but also great tasting, come here. Dulce de leche is not everything they serve. Try a sampling of a few things. Items are a little pricey but its an independant, family owned place and its well worth supporting because its a small business in the middle of a bunch of chain restaraunts. We get something different in there every time we go. The coffee and tea are great and the atosphere strikes me as a cozy little coffee shop.

En cuanto a los alimentos que venden no hay queja, son muy ricos. Voy bastante seguido a consumir. I ordered a customized cake for my babys baptism but I wasnt too happy with the outcome. First, I expected the cake to be twice as tall as their regular-sized cakes (8 inches) to make sure that I get the look of the sample cake that I provided them in a photo. I even confirmed the size with Evelyn and she wrote "twice as tall" on the order slip. I ended up getting a 10-inch cake which didnt really justify the design of the cake that I gave them. Second, the filling was dripping all over the box when I picked up the cake. Third, it looked like the decorations were almost falling off the cake and the side with the decorations had a hole in it. I wish I can add pictures here for reference. Anyway, the cake tasted good though. Its just that I expected it to be way better aesthetically, but it wasnt even close.

Great little place to get taste of Argentina! Granted the empanadas youll find here are not 100% Porteña, they are about as close as youll get outside of Buenos Aires. When I went you could tell they werent quite fresh and the peppery-nes, though normal in Texas, would probably make un Argentino cry. That being said I went by a few hours after lunch and was glad to snatch up the few empanadas that were left. The facturas again werent quite what youd find in Capital, but that doesnt mean they werent amazing. I never did get the taste for mate yerba, but they have pretty much a whole wall covered in kilos of it, if thats what youre looking for. All in all it is a little pricey, but if you are missing the taste of Argentina (or you just love anything meat filled) it is definitely worth stopping in.

I recently visited this place bc it was highly recommended but what a waste of money!! This place is extremely over priced for coffee that tastes like instant & empanadas with barely a teaspoon of filling; just filled with air. And as for the pastries, just go to TOM THUMB down the street - theyre BETTER & cheaper. There must be another location in Irving bc the other reviews are nothing like my recent experience. Learned 2 lessons: 1) SHARE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE so I can save someone else from wasting their hard earned money at this place & 2) NEVER EVER listen or ask for advice AGAIN from the person who recommended this place!!

Absolutely nothing. No one acknowledged is for about 5 minutes while we waited to order. Decided on red velvet cupcakes. They tasted like they were freezer burnt and the icing wasnt cream cheese and was probably the store bought kind. The icing pretty much tasted like the birthday cake icing they put on the toddler cakes at Walmart. Also, cost 5 dollars for two cupcakes Tiny that I would have considered "mini". On a positive note.....the presentation was nice.

I just got out from there and Im really disappointed, it is nothing like the pictures they just have two cakes. They told me that they are going to have more cakes until 5 pm and is barely 1:30 pm and Im coming from Mesquite all the way to Irving and Im leaving without cake Im so disappointed. Not coming back to this place. I really dont understand why this place have a rating of 4 stars .
