Do not be fooled by the good reviews, looks like this is a fairly new place as of 11/2/2016 and most of reviews might be written by family/friends or people unaware of Indian cuisine. I went there for lunch buffet with my wife, I would say food quality and taste was below average. Since, we had buffet we tried most of the items and most of them were not tasty, we have to leave the food which we did not like. When I was paying the bill, I told by a person named Andy that since we wasted food and he can charge me additional for wasting food and he is sparing me for this instance with a warning, which is ridiculous and he also mentioned that he thought of walking to our table and warning us about wasting food. I did see a small hand scribbled notice near the buffet plates and mentioned that gives him right to charge customers additional for wasting food. I tried explaining him why we have to leave the food, but he is adamant to listen and mentioned that this is not cheap Chinese food to be wasted, this gave me an impression Andy, the person on the counter is a racist and I left the place after paying my bill without saying anything. As a long time resident of Houston and a food lover, I can assure there are much better places here, where the price is worth for what they serve and with my personal Indian food experience I can tell this food taste is no way closer to authentic Indian food. For instance Gulab Jamun(brown ball) is supposed to be soft and smooth, not as hard as golf ball. I did notice that they tried charging me for an additional soda, this could be a practice here or could be coincidence. I would like the management to respond about the company policy and Andys behaviour, not sure if he is waiter/manager/owner. I would rather appericiate if they asked why I didnt like the food than trying to charge me for leaving/wasting food. I did waste my time and money by this trying place and I am not going back.

The food is about as good as it gets in this part of town, at least when it comes to Indian cuisine. I appreciate it, as it is tasty. However I am critical of the pricing and the whole nickle and dime situation when it comes to naan and such. Its on the higher end for the items they have here, honestly. And one could argue that it is only due to convenience, as I could easily drive elsewhere, farther, and pay less overall. Ive only been to their buffet once ($14 alone). Their selections are ok for a buffet. Nothing impressive, though adequately tasty. I would recommend the place just because so far it is the best Indian around this part of town, and it doesnt suffer much in taste. But I do advise the owners to work on their pricing and clarity on what is being charged extra.

This place is absolutely delicious. I had the Tikka Masala that was melt in your mouth delicious. The owner works virtually every night and he is always making sure that his customers are getting good service and that they are pleased with their food. The chef actually came out too and make sure we liked everything. We also all shared a trio of vegetarian dishes, the Saag Paneer, the Dal Makhani, and the Navaratan Korma, which were all so delicious I was convinced I might actually be able to survive as a vegetarian. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this place to anyone. Dont let the outside fool you, it is delicious.

Food was good quality, appropriately spiced, the selection was good for a small buffet. Naan is not included on the buffet. You are offered regular or garlic without any indication that you are going to be charged an additional fee. The sign hanging on the front of the building says, "Grand Opening Lunch Buffet Soft Drink and Dessert Free" however in addition to paying for naan I also paid for the soft drink. $18 for Indian lunch buffet is high for the small size offered. No raita, no curd rice, no pickle, no fresh fruit or salad. Misleading price.

I ate here last about a week ago and I can truly say that this is a proper representation of authentic Indian food. The curry is hot, the palak paneer is a perfect compliment, and all of the food I have tried so far is amazing. This strip center restaurant seems to be drifting well into the class of Pandi Cheri downtown. The manager is very friendly and seems happy to accommodate any request, and the atmosphere is very classy, despite the location.

Food was pretty good. The problem is that its too pricey for what it is. Also, and this is what really brings the rating down, we were offered naan in such a way that it seemed that it was complimentary. The naan is not complimentary, it comes at a cost (on top of the already overpriced buffet). Maybe other people dont mind this, but i cant stand sneaky practices such as these. If you offer naan you should mention that it cost extra.

Very friendly owner delivering consistent quality of Indian cuisine that carries the authentic flavor. Rich changing selection of vegetarian and meat meals with a sweet cherry on top in the form of traditional desserts. Nice clean interior with light background Indian tunes are good combination for successful business. We come at least once a month and never leave unsatisfied.

The food is great but the cleanliness IS HORRIBLE if you care about your health and germs I wouldnt recommend Ive been here twice and BOTH times I found something floating in my cup the serving napkins have stains and the cups felt sticky and unwashed and the table cloths had white stuff on them as if they havent been washed either but customer service is OK .

I have had Indian food all over the country and world; this is definitely at the top of my list. The flavors are well developed. The butter chicken is amazing; the sauce has a fabulous sweetness to it. The spice is there as a result of flavor and not for the sake of spice itself. The garlic naan is killer. The service is great as well.

We visited twice to this place for Sunday buffet. We did not see any difference in taste, each visit. the foods always hot, good and tasty. We never taste gulab jamun in restaurant. But here it is very nice. The veg and non-veg varieties are available in the buffet including fish. The shop is very small but food is very tasty.

My wife and I had a great experience here the other day during the lunch buffett. The owner was so friendly and helpful during the whole experience. Prices were good and the food was good too (I liked the butter chicken best!). We definitely recommend it.

I had a really good time at Tandoori Hut. My first experience at this place was very positive. The place is very clean and I really like their food. I dont see any thing wrong with this place. I rated them 5 stars overall.
