I came in yesterday as a new customer and needed to look over the menu, a lady came in after me so naturally I said the young lady could help her to give me time. While the young lady was taking the cake order she said " thats whats Im talking about I like when yall know what you want. The lady then asked a question but the young lady was listening to her boyfriend (I cant remember if it was a headset or the wireless ear thing) but she said "oh thats my boyfriend and he wanted to know why you were spending so much money" and then proceeded to have a conversation with her boyfriend and the customer. The young lady once again asked if I was ready I said yes and gave her my order I then look down and the other customers visa card was sitting on the counter in front of me, if I was a criminal I could have quickly added that card # in my phone. I did ask if there were any nut free treats and if they were made on the same surface as the nut products she said she wouldnt recommend anything if i had a allergy. I ordered 2 cupcakes and a mini cheese cake, the cupcakes were good but the pudding in the middle was a lil much maybe a curd would be better and the cheese cake was good no lingering after taste which is good cuz I have ran into that issue at other bakeries. All in all the customer service should be a little better and there is no excuse for taking personal calls while in front of customers. If I return it will be for the mini cheese cake.

I needed cupcakes like yesterday for my cousins baby shower. I was planning on ordering 2 dozen. I call on my lunch to get my order in and I get placed on hold for a ridiculously long time (they apparently have lines out the door on my lunch, so dont get mad at them if you call on their busiest hour too). Anyways, I hang up and call later and tell her Ill be picking them up when they open around 11:30. I go to the store 1 hour prior to the shower, she says my order wasnt ready because I didnt pre-pay, well I did offer to pay over the phone for all of it but she said no. She said dont worry Im fully staffed, Ill have them ready quick. 15 minutes later I have 26 cupcakes on the road to the baby shower. Then, I get there and my older sister brought cupcakes too!!! So, im thinking no ones going to eat these cupcakes......but I was wrong! I didnt have any left to take home or to my co-workers. Whatever you go through to get the cupcakes, it is worth it trust me! The Italian creme and German Chocolate especially, everyone loved how fresh and homemade they were......lets just say my sisters cupcakes made it to the next day...lol

Usually they have good customer service,but the lady at the front desk needs some work on hers. I would never use there EBT machine again. Last week me and a friend went in my stuf cost $17, she swiped my card and said it wouldnt go through, I didnt have enough on the card when I know I had well over enough. So my friend decided to pay with hers. The lady said it didnt go through on hers either so she only charge her card for $7, we call the# on back of the card after checking our balance and realized she took the $17 off my card,then her card and another $7 off her card we basically paid$41for what should have only cost $17. And we have the proof,we got the EBT card rep to send us printouts were it was taken off, because the lady working their counter argued us down she didnt do that. We even called the EBT rep for her to speak to and she argued them down about what they were telling her they saw she had done from their end. What ever happened to the customer always right, cause in this case I was. Just because I have an EBT card doesnt make me dum or gullible.

HORRIBLE SERVICE from the young black girl working the front. She stayed on her tablet, caught attitude when i inquired and refused to take order until myself and the other 2 customers knew what we wanted. She is the reason why im considering (even more now) a customer service 101 training for black owned business (which i chase down to support). I had heard so many great things about this place to be extremely disappointed. The peach cobbler was so runny and soggy. The little foundation of crust i had was soaked up with the canned peach juice. Uuugghhhhh...The banana pudding is over rated and the chocolate chip cookies with pecans, that i specifically asked about, ended up having raisins in them. My friend purchased the cinnamon roll stuffed with peach cobbler and it was stale and hard sitting on top of warm peach cobbler. I may have been able to accept her arrogant and less than tasteful attitude, but to serve a less than acceptable product just takes me over the top. They will never get my service again. So DISSATISFIED!!! #ZEROSTARS

I placed a special order a week in advance to when I needed it by. I called to make sure they were there the day before I needed it and there was no answer, so I drove 30mins to this place and they were closed. No one returned my phone call or emailed me back! I then call the day of the birthday party and they dont even have what I ordered a week prior ready, plus it was suppose to be a "surprise" and they texted the birthday boy about his cake and messed everything up because they use there caller id to call back instead of writing the number down I had given them! On top of that the cake design wasnt even the picture is had sent to their email that they had requested! The cake itself wasnt even the flavor I had chosen which was butter cream with a filling and when we cut into the cake at the birthday party there wasnt even a filling! I went off of google reviews and went to this bakery and wasted $115 on a birthday cake that wasnt even right!! I will not be returning!

Ive visited sugar rush on two different occasions. The first time I ordered peach cobbler and tea cakes. The peach cobbler was entirely too sweet and had too much vanilla in it. The tea cakes dont taste anything like regular tea cakes but they were ok. When I visited the second time I ordered banana pudding and a bow tie(they were out of cake balls). The banana pudding was just that store bought pudding that you mix with milk and they threw some vanilla wafers in to make it seem legit. The bow tie was chocolate covered but the chocolate was nasty didnt taste and the cake filling was not completely done and tasted extremely doughy. I wont be returning.

Ive been a customer of Sugar Rush for over a year. Ive referred many people to Sugar Rush because of its products, service and atmosphere. I am sorry to say I will not be returning to buy another more products. This past Saturday, I bought 5 minicakes. Two minicakes had strawberry toppings. I bought these cakes for Family and Friends Day at my church. The next day when I plate the cakes, the strawberries had MOLD all over it. Completely unacceptable! I emailed the store. A week later, no response. I called and the line is busy. I will not be returning to an establishment that is too busy and careless to respond to unhappy customers.
