A historically significant, independent venue for spicy fried chicken in the similar vein of Churchs, Hartz, and Popeyes. Deserving of your support as it is a local operation, not a franchise. The popularity of the place in its neighborhood is evident from the number of people showing up at lunchtime. I enjoyed the chicken. It was spicy. It was moister than a typical Popeyes offering. A six piece mixed clocks in around $8 which is really good value.

The first time I went there the food was horrible. The chicken was discussing! So my wife went there she said that chicken was so nasty and the fries was so hard. So about 3 months ago I went back to give it another try, and guess what the chicken was so hard and nasty it made me sick. Once the fries cool down you can use them for nails. I stay in the neighborhood and never again will we go there. A waste of money.

True this is the best fried chicken &rice w/ gravy in houston. The staff is sub par and the decor is rundown, but its worth it for the chicken. Whats not worth is having to tear up my car everytime I stop by. They really should get the drive way fixed thats the least they could do for their loyal customers. Ive been coming here for the last 25 years.

Great taste! This chicken is flavored to the bone! They are closed on Sundays! The place is super small (approx 4 tables) THEY REALLY DO NEED TO UPGRADE THE PLACE; BOTH INSIDE & OUTSIDE. AND THE PARKING IS THE PITS! With a vision of enhancing, Popeyes, would be closed! No Joke!!

Not good the place was nasty and the rest room was nasty the whole place was nasty chicken has no season in it one of the cashier had on a sleep cap and the employees didnt have on uniforms I want be going back the health department needs yo take a visited there

The chicken is always good in this unpretentious neighborhood establishment. During the lunch rush, there are a lot of staff from the nearby hospital, indulging in the deep fried goodness. I dont care for the gravy (only tried it once), so I stick with the fries.
