Date: Sunday, 06/07/2009, 2:00 PM We were being seated in a dark part of the restaurant and requested to be seated near the windows for lunch. The Hostess, said that would be no problem and she took the time to arrange a place by the windows. We were brought our lunch by our waitress, which was very well cooked. As we were eating, a customer walks up to the windows and beings to close the blinds. I ask her not to close the ones that were by the table. She said, "Why do you want to look at the bushes outside the window? They are just a bunch of bushes, a bunch of trees! My reply to her was that I do not want to eat in the dark. She stop closing any more blinds and went back to her table mumbling something. Afterward, about 2 to 3 minutes later a waitress came and began to close the blinds. I asked her not to close the blinds and after 30 seconds or so she agreed not to close them. Each time I thanked them and continued to eat lunch. I was began to settle down to a good lunch, when the Manager showed up at the windows and began to close the blinds. I asked him not to close the blinds because I did not want to eat in the dark. He said to me that he was the manager and if he want to close the windows he would. My reply to him was that he was ruining my lunch with his uncustomary customer service. His attitude seem to be a I dont care" reflection of my request to let the blinds stay open. He began to raise his voice in front of the other customers and employees who were present. I realized that I would not be able to get my explanation across and chose not to continue at that time. By this time, I asked for some cartons to carry our food out because my stomach was really upset from the aggravation this whole incident had caused. We paid for our meal and on the way out I asked to speak the Manager. As I was waiting, a lady from the group that the first customer who close the blinds, came to me to apologize for the inconvenience that was cause from the closing of the blinds. I told her I accept and asked her to accept mind. My aggravation was caused by the Managers unprofessional matter of the way he handled the situation. The Manager arrived and this is what I said to him. "Sir, you could have solved this situation by requesting to put us at another table or suggesting the customer with the too much sunlight issue, to sit with her back to the windows. The Manager replied with, " This is my restaurant and my blinds and everything in this building is mind and I do what ever I want to do with everything inside this restaurant." I said, " Turn around and read this award that is behind you. What does it say? It an award for excellence customer service and you Sir are are not demonstrating that standard of excellence. You continue to shout to me in front of these customers and employees. You, Sir, are being very unprofessional." He continue to be belligerent and began to mock me by repeating what I had said in a childless matter and tone of voice. I asked him not to be so unprofessional but he continued mocking me. I choose not to continue to be treated in an insulting way and walked out very disappointed with the Manager. Coming to this restaurant and looking around, one would never think that we are in difficult economic times. The food is great. The wait staff and Hostess are of excellence quality. Very Professional! But what really stands out is the Manager. I believe he should be given an extra assignment on "customer service" before another incident calls on his Managerial qualities to be tested again. Thank you. I will return because the food is great. sincerely, Jimmy

I got the steak (because Im a ribeye addict) even though it wasnt listed on the lunch menu. A little expensive but Im pretty hesitant to try unfamiliar gluten free offerings when Im *that* hungry. Hangry plus *ANYTHING* Udi brand is a horrifyingly disgusting combination. Udi products are proof that evil walks among us. Udi is so widespread in the restaurant industry that I refuse to risk it. I hate Udi as much or more than I resent my recent coeliac diagnosis. But back to the review. Very delicious steak and sides! Wonderful lunch with a friend we see very rarely! Waiter in very tight jeans showing off his gorgeous badonkadonk. Four stars because OMG such a long drive. That, and the non-intuitive UI (thus generally confusing), very limited functionality, and often intrusive tabletop electronic tablet. Skinny jeans should be included in the Olive Garden official uniforms. That sexy badonkadonk incited us to tip a bit more. Just sayin...

I came here with a group of ten. We came here thinking it would be a nice and fairly decent place to grab lunch. It wasnt crowed at all. And the waiter seemed funny and kind. After reciving my soup, i realized it was luke warm as if it had been sitting out for a while. After we all recived our meal it took about ten minutes to get our tickets. Then we all realized that they forgot tickets and mixed up orders causing a longer wait. It took about another twenty minutes to pay after the issue was sorted. Then i realized my over charged ticket was still on the pay pad. I had to give the manager my card so it could be paid. Our waiter this whole time seemed to have disappeared this whole time. We litterally could have had to have walked out without paying and no one would have noticed, but like the good people we are we waited around 45 to 50 minutes to pay for our meal.

If only there was an option for no stars. I am completly outraged with the situation I was just in at the Olive Garden in Grapevine. Carla (the manger) was complete rude and disrespectful to me and my friends. She asked us if we have paid for our meal on the way out. Is this real life? I feel like I was in an episode of "punked" walking out. The server was constantly asking us what we wanted to order after we said we want to enjoy our salads first. Witch we did not get to enjoy since he was constantly at our table. He was very rude to us and treated us like trash. I dont know if it was just because we are teenagers but I am way more polite than to go into an expensive resturant and not pay for my food. I would strongly advise you to stay away from this location and go to the one in Irving off of airport Fwy. Worst experience of my life. Happy birthday to me.

I rated it one star because you have to! The workers completely badgered myself and my co workers as we were out for an office lunch. Following so we did not have very much time for a full meal all we were pursuing in was a salad. The manager came up to us very rude and asked us if we were going to eat and we said no and she continued to ask us and was rude about it when we said no. The server brought us our check and we all paid cash because we were ready to leave and couldnt take the disrespect anymore. Completely feel like the manager was racist. Also when we proceeded to leave she stopped us and asked us if we paid. I am 100% utterly disgusted with the behavior of the manager and our server. Will never attend this Olive Garden again.
