My wife and I do not get a "date night" as often as we would like. This past weekend I took her to Cantina Laredo in Frisco, TX. We had a great time and the food was outstanding. Our experience started in the bar waiting for our table. 20 minutes was the estimated wait on a busy Saturday evening. We ordered a Hurradurra (sp?) margarita for her and a **** Modelo for me. The young lady that served us at the bar was very attentive and took very good care of us. Our table was ready in about ten minutes, and we were not sitting more than 60 seconds before we were greeted by Manuel our server. Manuel took our order after a few minutes and arrived shortly after with our top shelf, table-side guacamole. It was fantastic! For dinner I ordered the Carne Asada, my wife had a shrimp dish, (sorry I am not sure which one.) The steak was cooked to perfection for me. I like mine medium-rare, leaning a little more on the rare side. My bride said her shrimp was great. She said the taste was excellent and the shrimp as well was cooked to perfection. It was a great evening. We will definitely be back and we will definitely ask for Manuel to be our server. Thank you to everyone at Cantina Laredo for a great experience.

Came in this evening at about 9:10 p.m. As we ordered our food I asked the waitress if their was sour cream or jalepenos on the dish, she replied with "yes but they are on the side." When my food came out they were on the center of the plate touching all my food. If you know anything about jalepenos that are pickled they take over the flavor of everything, the smell is super potent, and anything they touch then taste like them. Needless to say she made no effort to simply tell the cooks line to leave them off after I specifically asked that they not be on the dish. Again she assured me they were on the side. I assumed that meant in some kind of ramekin. Either way we wont be coming back due to the laziness of our waitress.

I just had the most wonderful experience at Cantina Laredo. I was there by myself and really appreciated how attentive the staff was. The manager, Ric, could not have been kinder. He helped me choose a steak dish with poblano peppers and chimi churi - I could only eat half and already cant wait to have the rest of this delicious dish tomorrow! He also suggested a mango cake, a change from my normal chocolate choice and, WOW, it was amazing - super light, perfectly baked cake and a light creamy sauce on top. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely awesome atmosphere and the Margaritas are perfect. The food is also perfect and not to mention the desert is to die for... I think this is probably the best kept secret in Plano and Frisco. Rick is the best manager in the restaurant business I have ever met... After you visit this restaurant, please only refer 1 person at a time so it doesnt get too crowed before I return... LOL..

This place is the best kept secret in Plano/Frisco. The atmosphere is perfect, the food is great and the service is out of this world. Rick the manager and Chris has the best hospitality in the food industry . Everyone should try the happy hour because all you need is one margarita and youre good. Good Tex Mex in an upscale environment thats family-friendly. Theres also a bar section that seems popular with groups of single people. Get the tableside guacamole to go with the chips and two types of salsa. For dessert, try the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. Parking is limited.

Went in for dinner a couple days ago. Service was excellent. The guacamole was great, and I love the salsa. My food was ok, nothing spectacular, but it was cold. One of the managers came over, young guy, very nice, corrected it for me. Great place for business lunches.

Eating here is a perfect experience from the moment you walk through the door. Food was phenomenal, as well as the drinks, and they pay attention to special requests. Service was world class, attentive, and friendly. Management is great as well! Well be back often!

Perfect, timing was fast and the service was friendly. Other people complain about the pricing(youll should of gone to taco bell then) which to me was very fair compared to many other restaurants. Menu was a little bland but offered tasty options.

We will usually hit Cantina on a Friday night for our family date night. The staff and manager always make our kids feel special (which is why I think they keep asking to go there). We love the food and prices. Great place to eat.

Great food and service as always. This is my wife and my favorite place to go for gourmet mexican and good drinks. I give it 4 stars because this one is hit and miss everynow and again - most of the time though its really good.

Awesome service. No amateur waiters. You must try the fresh guacamole made at the table. Ive had picky american professionals with me and the staff is able to handle whatever situation with flair. Go. Eat. Enjoy!

Decent location, parking may be an issue depending on time of week/year. Its pricy but they also dont try to hide that. A manager here named Ric is a fantastic human being. All in all, decent upscale Mexican food.

Drinks were ok... bad service. First salsa we got was hot, second was cold, how is it supposed to be?... Food was WAY overpriced for what you get. Quality was poor. I prefer Mi Cocina for the price and taste.

For what the prices are the service is horrible, we had to ask a different server for a refill on drinks because original server disappeared, been waiting for our check for over 20 minutes now

Brunch is excellent, lots of table options and quite a bit of seating at the bar. Jorge does a great job at the bar. If youre looking for upscale Mexican / TexMex, this is the place to go.
