MOST of the female wait staff/bartenders are stuck up, uptight, masculine and immature. I think they need to look at themselves in the mirror and realize that they are not unique, special, or cutting edge. They are very average. If you are reading this.. Please understand that you are not special in any way. I am sorry but you are not. Please stop acting like you are. You will get old, die, and there will not be any trace of you left and no one will ever know that you existed. It is very unlikely that you will accomplish anything more then good customer service in your life so why act like you possess such valuable ideas in your mind that are new and futuristic and better then everyone elses. You all probably think you are all so cool and rebellious but in reality youre just like the large majority of females who think exactly the same things as you do. Generally, girls like you grow to become cat-ladies. Cat lady bartenders. Haha.

Worst service/food ever. This place is not the "gastropub" they claim to be. The food is mediocre and they never seem to have anything offered on the menu. I could under stand if it was right when they are opening or closing, but it was in the middle of lunchtime. I tried ordering the poutine, the excuse was no gravy (gravy isnt that hard to make). Then they didnt have their "soup of the day" or anything with queso, and no tartar sauce for the fish and chips I mistakenly ordered. If I would have known that nothing on the menu was available, I would have walked to Abbey inn and at least had a decent meal. Seriously, who serves fish and chips without tartar sauce? TL;DR- if you want items on the menu that are listed go somewhere else because this place cant even get that together.

Excellent pub fare; cold drinks, served promptly; a robust sound system; multiple TVs for games or shows; smoking. Great for late night, even on Sunday. As a first timer, the (non-existent) greeting from the waitress left a lot to be desired; but when I took a seat at the bar, I was approached immediately and service was excellent for the rest of the visit. Fried pickles with delicious breading and the Cuban and fries are extremely tasty choices. Smoking is allowed, which I find nostalgic and not unappealing. Based on the food and drink menu, this place is drastically underrated, likely because many people find tobacco smoke unappetizing. Be aware of sensitivities before you book your party.

Disregard negative reviews older than a year ago, theyre obsolete. New ownership and new everything else. We love The Loophole! Awesome, delicious eclectic bar food with great culinary creativity (dont miss the unique pulled pork sammich), great lineup of ice cold local craft beers on tap (try the Peticolas Velvet Hammer) , and the ladies & gents behind the bar make it all into a happy friendly small town vibe where everybody knows your name when you walk in. Totally Denton! Were fairly new in town, and we feel right at home here. Shoot some pool, play some darts. A week without a few visits to The Loophole would be incomplete for us...

I hate to write this because I used to come here all the time but my last 2 visits have been very underwhelming. Our waitresss tonight was, to say the least, incompetent. I had to send my drink back twice. Anytime she checked on our table shed take one persons drink order and walk off before anyone else could pipe up. Also, the drinks took a good while to arrive. This is definitely NOT the bar I remember. The staff used to be so nice and charming. Now, everyone seems apathetic and lacking at their job. I dont think I will be coming back. There are other venues close by that can provide much better service.

Was in Denton this past weekend visiting a friend. Went to this bar. Waitress asked to take a shot with us. We said ok. Bartenders also wanted a shot. Ok, again. One of the bartenders then pours her shot in the sink. Wasted my money. If you dont want a shot, there are many ways to politely decline. Dont waste my money, then mess up your tip. Didnt give one star, because the waitress (although not our waitress, as we were sitting at the bar), was awesome.

The food is great but the service is hit or miss. More often than not the staff is very friendly and helpful but occasionally youll end up having to act as your own server. EDIT: Things have changed here. Now its trying to be done sort of high brow fancy restaurant. Three allure used to be quick pub styled food and drinks. Now its all kinds of goofy unrecognizable junk. And what is a gastropub? Just make me a burger. Ugh.

some friends & I visited loop hole often & saw the bartenders get worse & worse. Its sad cause it is right off the square & in a great location for meeting up with friends but the bartenders are so slow & initiative that it will ruin any outing. I will from this day forward go out of my way to avoid loop hole & the horrible bar tending there. Try it & be prepared to get frustrated & very disappointed.

I have gone to the Loophole many times. One thing that never changes is the food - great food for a bar. However, I have always felt out of place here: the bartenders get easily frustrated, everyone seems to think theyre the bees knees once they step in there.. Its one of those places where I go at the END of the night or not at all.

Nasty! They had a blackened-chicken-sandwich special that used common white sandwich bread and ketchup and mustard on it even though I said I wanted it plain. Plus, the meat was lukewarm and the taste ultra-bland. This and their absurdly-high prices mean I will never go there again.

The food here is amazing. We have to go get the kamikaze burger at least once a month or its all we can think about. Love the beer and mixed drinks they serve. Service is a little lax (never rude though) but well worth it for the food, charm, and awesome atmosphere!

Great local pub, absolutely friendly employees and the menu has some real hidden gems, and cool house drinks. Good selection of craft beer, although smaller than some places have. Truly one of the better late back atmospheres in Denton. Love this joint.

I love the Loophole. It has great food at reasonable prices without the crowds killing you or the music making you deaf. Anna was professional and swift and never made a mistake. The staff is great and the location is perfect. Long live the Loophole.

This place is great... if you like smoke. . I hate it. If you want to kill yourself, fine. But do it on your own time and in your own space.. .l. enforce NO SMOKING! then itll be at least 4 stars. Cause its bad ass other than that.

Alway love going to the loophole. My wife and I eagerly wait for each "burger of the month" they feature. Always great service, huge selection of beers and drinks, great specials. Its definitely our favorite hangout in Denton.

The worst place in Denton for customer service. I went there a while back and got refused service because I moved a chair from the walkway to find a spot to sit. I hope these idiots learn some manners and hospitality.
