The only reason I selected one star is because youre required to. If I could give it no stars I would. The service from our nice waitress was great and I thoroughly appreciate her, however that is where the good things I have to say about this place end. I am a craft beer enthusiast so I was excited to learn about the large beer selection on their menu, although it doesnt much matter because theyre overpriced by about a dollar a beer compared to other local joints and the brews were not cold at all. The manager or owner (or who I assumed to be front of house) seated us with a Mizzou jersey on which is great show your pride who cares, however he then proceeded to sit at the table right behind us with his buddies and swear, slam his hands on the table, and yell when his team was not playing well. Other patrons in the bar were far too drunk to be in public and they were served even more alcohol before we left. Myself and my girlfriend both ordered the burger which is only offered medium well which either means the cooks are terrible or that management is too lazy to teach them to how to cook a burger so I didnt bother to request medium rare as I normally enjoy a burger. We were offered chips, french fries, or gaelic fries. The gaelic fries were very tasty but we werent informed they were an extra dollar nor did the menu list the price increase. Apparently it was ladies night which meant we were treated to overly loud rap music the whole night... I mean what Irish pub DOESNT have rap music? What was I thinking. Overall this establishment gave a bad vibe starting with the front of house all the way to the food. Luckily our waitress was pleasant, but she couldnt overcome all of the other negatives stacked against her.

Nothing "Irish" or "Pub" like about it. Its a poorly decorated generic bar with no ambience or character stuck at the end of a strip mall. We sat at a table in the bar for over 10 minutes and could barely get one of the 2 waitresses to look our way let alone wait on us. It was a moderately crowded Friday night but all we needed was a "Ill be right with you" and we would have been fine. Bar was crowded couldnt get the bartender to tear himself away from his buddies at the end to help us. Considering the Friday crowd we gave them every break but ended up leaving without ordering a thing so I really have no idea how the food was. I do know the table next to us received their food with no silverware and after the waitress said "Ill be back with your silverware" they ended up getting their own when she didnt return.

I recently moved into the apartments next door and Ive gone down there a few times to eat and watch sports. The Rover Burger is a really good burger for a pretty good price. My only complaint, and its kind of a big one because they advertise NFL Sunday Ticket there, is that all the big beautiful HDTVs are NOT showing an HD picture. They are connected to a Standard Definition source and the picture is just stretched across. Thats pretty inexcusable, especially when you advertise sports, and considering its the year 2009... almost 2010. Its just lazy. Fix the TVs and make the Shiner Bock $2.50, and youve got 5 stars.

I love this place! Molly, Tyler, Brittany, and Jacob are the best. Would 10/10 any day of the week. Edit as of 4/20/2017: I love this bar and have been going since August of 2016, unfortunately most of the servers have quit and the management has seemed to have a degrading quality. Drink service was extremely slow and giving wrong beverages tonight (from what Im told is management Menish (spelling?) . Im super disappointed in that quality has been sacrificed in lieu of cost. I hope that bar management improves so that I can continue going. Every town needs a good local pub, please make the Rover one of them.

Manager was very rude and unwilling to hear what I had to say. I found a piece of paper in the middle of the burger and I called to know what it is and why it was there. He answered back rudely and with judgment saying that we were trying to rob small businesses and that people like me shouldn’t be in the country. When in reality I have been there several times and have spoken highly to others of this establishment. I hope for his sake that he learns to listen to others and not be so rude in the future as his own actions and attitude will rob him of his business.

I have been here plenty of times and this is the second consecutive time were I ordered food and I asked to avoid from the first scenario were my food sat at the counter and asked if I needed to sit and wait on my food or will food be brought to me I was told " if I remember" same bar tender week before would get me drinks 15 minutes of me sitting at the bar after of course she was done showing her Facebook photos and Im assuming pissed I was not showing her attention like most guys due to her skimpy clothes after I receive my food if I do I will not return

Horrible thanks to the ownership. The owner has made this place an unbearable place to visit. I will not list all of the things wrong with this place but there are so many better options very close by. The owner deleted my first google review so I am now reposting. And look how he has responded to his other bad reviews. On one of the bad reviews he even pastes a link to an arrest musgshot of the guy giving him a bad review on google. Who does that? He even leaves his reviews off of his facebook for fear of looking bad. Dont mess with this place.

This is a fantastic place to go any day of the week. Theres always great service, great food, and great people. Its an excellent neighborhood bar/grill. Idk why there are so many negative comments, I visit this place frequently and visit with the owner from time to time and there is no way that what a lot of people have said is true. Theyre fair in the way they conduct business and aim to please their customers no matter what. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a good meal or a great environment to have drinks with friends.

We sat there for 1 plus hours with no service. Everybody running around like a chickens with their heads cut off. We finally got a server and made our order only to be told he clocked out. ... then when we finally decide to go elsewhere and the few that went to the bar to get a beverage and we waited while they went back to get their card. The owner had the audacity to tell us to move we were taking up her space ....... will never go back there !!! Work on your staff, customer service, and management! !

The Irish Rover is awesome!!!!! Everything from the food, drinks, service and management are amazing. I like trying something new each time I eat there and loving each thing I try. There is so many different beers to choose from 42 on tap alone doesnt include the bottle beer and cans. The different flights of Whiskey, Bourbon and Scotch are divine. If you are looking for good food, good drinks and good company as well as good atmosphere the Irish Rover Pub & Restaurant is the place to be.
