This review is coming from someone who really knows Indian food, I have eaten Indian food all my life, both home cooked and from good Indian restaurants. I went today for the lunch buffet and there was a total of about 6 hot dishes on the buffet. This really wouldnt have been a bad thing if the few dishes were good quality, but this is not the case at all, the nan was not bad but all the dishes were very bland and honestly just very poor quality. The tandoori chicken pieces were small and either over cooked or not fresh. There was no chicken tikka massala or lamb kabob pieces and also there was no gulab jamun in syrup or any dessert at all for that matter. I even went on a weekend. There just wasnt anything on the buffet that was enjoyable. It was $9.73 and honestly it was only worth about 3-4 dollars. The dinner items there might very well be much better but i wont be going back for the buffet. If youre looking for a good quality Indian restaurant lunch buffet or dinner, try Bombay Grill Indian restaurant and bar in Fort Worth. No i dont work there, I have just been going there for about 6 years and the food has always great.

When I first walked in I was heavily put off by the gaudy Vonage advertisement vertical banner taking up the entry way (inside) and I was also put off with how they displayed their many varities of soda in one of those chilled deli meat counter ...things. However this had a magical ending. It was a stormy night in Denton and I was the only person in the restaurant. I had some vegetarian starters which were bar none standalone in their excellence. I then ordered the Lamb Biryani it came with a ton of well seasoned rice and the MOST succulent lamb I have ever had. Get rid of the vonage sign. Get rid of that buffet thing. And spruce the place up.

Food is fresh with well balanced spices and mouth appeal. Service was great were greeted at the door and door was held open till we were able to enter since we both use a cane to walk. Great service continued throughout our visit. Wait staff and manager and cook were all interested in making our experience 5 star. Everything from ice tea right on thru to dessert is delicious. I think King Krishna is reviewing the wrong restaurant. Lighten up man / no way your experience was as you explained it. We recommend Bawarchi Indian Cuisine 110% Yall should stop in soon and often.

Food isnt bad actually. Kinda limited but good. Service is pretty much nonexistent. Its a total joke. Youre seriously on your own here. No drinks. Theres a big bottle of tap water on your table so you can serve yourself if the food is too spicy. Lol. No soup bowls. They dont replace the food in a timely manner. I waited 35 mins for the guy to bring more naan to the buffet but it never came. Service Totally sucks!!!!! I felt like walking out since the guy wouldnt notice anyway but that wouldnt be legal I suppose, so I paid.

I will never dine here again. Think twice about choosing Bawarchi in Denton. Generally the food is decent (for Denton), but when a knowledgeable customer has a complaint about the food they will make up things thinking you dont understand indian food. The host flat out lied to me about a dish when I pointed out it was missing something from the ingredients on the menu and tasted off. Instead of being gracious about the mistake like basically all restaurants are she took my money and offered no apology.

The ONLY reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars is because it took a bit too long for our food to come out. A 20 minute wait on appetizers and another 30 for the entrees was something we were not expecting. But the food was excellent! It was the perfect amount and very savory. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant and I was very satisfied with my meal. I will definitely try this restaurant again, and make sure to bring more patience with me next time :)

I called to ask if their food can be prepared vegan. The person who answered the phone essentially refused to answer the question. I explained what vegan meant and he again refused to answer the question. I have eaten at the Kokila in Lewisville, and they claim to cater to vegans - but now I wonder if they were avoiding telling the truth to secure a sale. Perhaps it was best that they didnt answer the question as I wont be eating anything they make - vegan or otherwise.

I love Kokila in Lewisville and Ive been driving down there for a couple of years. I was stoked to hear they were opening a Denton store and the time has finally come! Theyve been open a few weeks and the food is the best! I love Indian food! Ignore the negative review, its probably from a rival restaurant. Kokila Denton is super yummy and the staff is awesome! They even recognized me from going to their Lewisville location!

I have not been to a such a worst restaurant (Bawarchi Indian Cuisine) ever in my life!!! Ordered Gobi Manchuraya, it was burned up, over cooked and tasted like I was eating coal!! I called the service lady at the front desk, she tasted it and told me that it tastes fine. So you can imagine the service and attitude!! I wished I took a photograph and showed the world how it looked too!!!

Ignore the other review, I dont know what their issue was. This place is GREAT. Its not the very best Indian restaurant Ive ever been to, but it is certainly very good. The food was delicious. Every customer around us commented to their waiters how good it was. The service was prompt, and the staff was friendly. I will be going back to this restaurant a LOT. Highly recommended!

Havent had a bad experience here. Everyone who works there is so kind and is really open to feedback. The staff gives sufficient warning about spiciness too. I tend to like spicy stuff but definitely heed the warnings if you cant do extreme heat. This place seems like a bit of a hidden gem. Pop in if you get the chance and are in the mood for something a little different.

Wont be back. Greedy owners, poor service. I went for lunch today & ordered Chicken Tika masala to go as an entree for $10.99. I asked the host if it came with naan, he said yes. I purchased the meal got to my car and looked in the bag. It was a cup of the entree and the naan wrapped in foil. No rice. I went back in and complained, he said its either rice or naan.

I used to come here previously. I loved it a lot. Now, it is very popular and extremely crowded. However, the service has fluctuates a bit, and the seating is not enough for all the people. Its good, but its lagging in terms of service. Food is good, but the goat biriyani meat is a tough and we didnt receive our naans or kulfis because they ran out.

I love this place. LOVE it. Chicken 65, Kadai and Jalfrazi Chicken, Egg and Spinach pakoras are the best. So much better than anything else you can get locally. I love the Lewisville location as well. The one in Lewisville is bigger but not necessarily better. Wonderful, friendly owners who will graciously customize any order to what you like.
