This place is okay, but not worth the premium price to me. I bought three donuts and a regular drip coffee. The coffee was fine, $2 for 16 oz. and totally decent quality. No complaints there. My first donut was a glazed raised ring. Your basic glazed donut. It reminded me of a glazed donut from Walmart or any other grocery store bakery. The flavor was fine, but the dough was dense and almost breadlike. I prefer the lighter, melt-in-your-mouth texture that you find at any of the independent shops around town—and for less than a dollar each. The Top Pot glazed donut was larger than any Ive had, but still not worth the premium. My second donut was a chocolate old fashioned. It seemed to be much more of a premium pastry. It was again more dense than I was used to, but that seemed to work in favor of the cake donut moreso than with the raised. Almost brownie-like. Thats one I might try again. Third donut was a raspberry bismark. Same as the glazed ring, the dough was the consistency of french bread just like a Walmart donut. And the filling was no different than what theyre injecting into jelly donuts all over town. Again, slightly larger than similar offerings elsewhere, but certainly not worth nearly $3. I cant imagine Ill be back. Every retail strip has a little hole in the wall independent donut shop turning out better tasting donuts at a fraction of the price. I can see paying a premium for something of true quality or innovation, like Hypnotic Donuts, but thats not what I found at Top Pot. I think youre just paying for the upscale ambiance.

Top Pot has some of the best doughnuts in Dallas. Their icing is generous and covers the entire top half of the doughnut, nut just a small band around the top like too many other shops do theirs. Besides their regular and cake doughnuts, they have "old fashioned" doughnuts. I dont know what makes them different, maybe its a mixture of the regular and cake doughnuts batter; but they are my new favorite style of doughnut, that I havent seen elsewhere. They occasionally have a sea salt and caramel flavor that makes my head spin (in a good way). Did I mention their icing is generous! They have seasonal flavors that are also very tasty. I dont typically drink coffee, and I havent consumed Top Pots coffee, but I can attest that it is very hot. If I had to make a complaint, I would say they sell out of doughnuts quickly (so get there early), and a few people on the staff seem to be introverts. They are nice, but not overtly friendly or helpful. Overall, if youre lucky enough to live near a Top Pot, go check it out!

Unique homemade donut experience with all different kinds and seasonal options. This is not your average cheap donut shop. Me and my toddler go there when we need a donut day. They have a nice outdoor covered patio area to sit on as well as plenty of indoor seating. I recently found out that they are from Seattle. They have a good coffee selection too.

Walked in and was greeted with prompt and friendly service. Got a cookies n creme cake donut and a lemon one. Even though it wasnt early AM the quality was still good. Same can be said for the black coffee, which was rather delicious. I only regret not grabbing a pound when I left.

Not only are the doughnuts amazing, the service was phenomenal. My daughter threw a tantrum at the shop and they gave me a donut and orange juice on the house despite me insisting to pay for it.. "Ive got kids too..." was what the gentleman at the counter said. Wow!

The morning sales person should be replaced. A coffee shop needs an upbeat, smiling person in the morning. Not someone who looks like she hates being there. Love their coffee and Ive been told their donuts are made with protein powder, which is great!!!

These are delicious, overpriced donuts. Both cake and raised donuts are a but more dense than your typical fare, and they dont overdo their frosting, which I like. However, the cheapest frosted donuts are $1.59 or so, and anything creative is around $2.00.

I went at 7:15pm tonight and it was closed, the website says open until 8pm, I called first at about 6:45pm but no answer, then I went and it was closed. The sign on the door said open until 6pm, which was pasted over the 7pm number. Bad Management. Chow

Service was great. There was plenty of parking in the morning time. The donuts were above average in price, but they were of high quality and unique. This is the company from Seattle that you see their donuts in Starbucks, but these are fresh here.

Top pot doughnuts is a great place to splurge. Their doughnuts are very tasty and filling. They offer other breakfast foods like chicken biscuits. The coffee is a little mild but good for dunking. I recommend the old fashioned cake doughnuts.

Expensive donuts that are good. They are $20 a dozen! They are very good and the staff are nice. Most people would be completely happy with Krispy Kreme donuts though.

These doughnuts looked fancy but dont be deceived by looks! Might have been the worst Ive ever tried but at least they were overpriced!!

A single donut should not cost more than $2 unless it is outstanding. These are not outstanding, but I did like the seasonal offerings.
