Pretty expensive. I was kind of scared by the weird green light in front of the building since I went with my sisters for dinner. I was also startled by the fact that a guy ran up to my car to say that it was valet parking only after I was mostly parked. The food was OK, but I would not go back. It was also a creepy atmosphere with posters about ending rape in both of the cluttered, dimly lit, tiny restrooms. The waiter was kind and it seemed some business people were enjoying some light food with wine and a chance to kick off the high heels and suit jacket. It was quiet inside with varied genres of music playing over the house speakers. Overall, food OK, kind of pricey, super sketchy feel. Not recommending to anyone.

Food was not great and a little pricey. Service was okay, but the waiter tried to tell me that a coupon I purchased on yelp wasnt valid for that day even though nothing on the yelp site specified that limitation. He ended up taking it anyway, but I think he could have handled the situation differently. Like maybe taking the issue up with yelp and accepting the coupon without saying anything to me since there was no condition listed on purchase (it was a buy a ten dollar coupon for five dollars deal). Parking sucks and I had to valet which cost five dollars not including tip. Overall it wasnt the worst experience Ive had, but it wasnt nearly good enough that I care to return.

This isnt your typical Mediterranean restaurant. It is tapas. There is a lot of Spanish and european influence in the cuisine. I had the beef kababs which were excellent. However the rice was bland with no spices. Their hummus has garlic but it tastes so good. This restaurants major drawback is their payment system which is tapas style. The whole table has one check and each individual has to order along with everyone on one check. This creates confusion when we are about to pay because each individual has to calculate his or her total. Finally, I loved their guitarist who played at our table and their nutmeg flavored birthday cake.

This place was absolutely awful. They made me wait at the bar, most likely in the hopes that I would buy some drinks, when there were open tables everywhere. Then they didnt show up at all almost 20 minutes later. The staff was right there in front of me, doing their best to ignore me. When I asked to be seated and served they told me to wait, then LITERALLY walked into the kitchen (which I had a clear view of), made eye contact with me and laughed. Of course 10 minutes later they still hadnt seated me. I didnt have the opportunity to taste the food, I had a bad enough taste in my mouth so I left.

Dont go here unless there are no other options and you are walking. We parked our own car literally outside of the restaurant and the vallet insisted on moving it by 1 space and charging us $5 despite us saying no thanks. The service was poor - i had to stand up twice to ask for service The food was nothing special, I would say for a turkish place it was poor as it lacked seasoning and flavour. I have chicken Kaboob which came on its own (yes just chicken) and had no flavor. I left the restaurant feeling like i just ate a whole plain chicken. For what you get (or lack of) its expensive too.

I must say the food tasted good. BUT... a) The restaurant doesnt advertise its mainly a "tapas" bar. So.. I was first disappointed to see the vast majority of the menu were "tapas". Still I was quite hungry and I decided to order an entree for $15. I was hungry. b) The portions were ridiculously small. I felt really disappointed about the size of the portions. I left the restaurant hungry and so did my friend. We both thought it was too much money for an entree.. Disappointing.

I did not eat here because I pulled up to the restaurant and was told the parking lot was for valet parking only. I asked the attendant where I could park and get this, he said, "I dont know." Needless to say I did not dine at Cafe Izmir. Not really helpful or friendly, if the employee doesnt know where the customers should park then there is no way an out-of-towner would know. I recommend no one go and they can just go out of business.

Dont let the name fool you. Its NOT a Turkish restaurant. Foods r not even close to what u expect. Only good thing about it theres a very friendly Nepalian girl that makes you feel comfortable, unfortunately rest is fake!btw prices on menu is very reasonable but you need to order 3 of them if you want to feel like you ate something cause their portion is like a sampler!!!!

Couldnt ask for better. Literally the best humus Ive had. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended. They even ran my debit card to me outside when I forgot it on the table. And the owner is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. They need to move to Louisiana so I can come more often

The question is...What did you like about it. It would be quicker to say there was nothing to dislike about it. Cafe Izmir in my opinion is Dallas best restaurant. Atmosphere, food, drinks...all fantastic. Not just dinner...its an experience! -Humblefoodie

Ive been coming to the Greenville avenue location for years. The food and service impresses everytime. Im not a fan of humus but the house made humus is amazing and definitely makes me feel the way Adam Sandler did in "Dont Mess With the Zohan."

the food is okay, but terrible service. Our waiter took over an hr to figure out what our party had ordered and at the end we paid for items we did not even have just get out of there. Disappointed in this place and would not recommend it.

Hummus is fantastic. Probably the best Ive ever had. Spicy hummus was actually spicy. The pita bread is great also, does not seem to be reheated pita bread like other places. Service was great and friendly. Homestyle atmosphere.

Food is just okay!! Nothing special... They make you wait at the bar even though they have empty tables just to increase their drinks revenue. And I hate weeks old stale lemon slice in the water.. Not a pleasant experience!!!

The food was good, very reasonable prices, good service and atmosphere. Just a little hard to locate, as the signage is inadequate. It is situated right next to Glorias, on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. Has valet parking.

False advertising: What they serve isnt hummus. Hummus is s blend of cheekpeas, tahini, olive oil, herbs and spices. Hummus never contains milk, butter or yogurt. If you look for authentic cuisine, look elsewhere.

They serve mixture of Persian food in a "tapas style" where you get to try a little of everything! My favorite is the Pomegranate chicken! Great food, great entertainment and great prices! Love them!

The hummus and the spicy hummus is delicious. The sangaria is really good too and we ordered by the bottle. I didnt really like the pulled lamb wrap though. The beef kabobs were delicious though.

Excellent food and even better people! We love going on a Friday or Saturday night when Helio is playing guitar. The owner and staff make you feel like family. I would recommend to anyone.
