We went there with a party of eight on a Saturday morning before mother’s day for a special treat. Special it was NOT. The point of our outing was to spend time with the Mother’s in our lives and enjoy our time together, so I didn’t complain because that is never fun. I can however share my experience with everyone else so that they don’t have the same problems. To start off, they only gave this party of eight ONE MENU! Really? They said it was the only one in the restaurant. That is a serious problem, especially when there were still empty tables. I also noticed that the next group to come into where we were sitting (a group of two) BOTH had a menu. This only begins the service problems. We start ordering drinks and even with a notepad, she just didnt get that 2 regular coffees, 1 French press, 1 special coffee, 2 milks, and 1 orange juice doesnt equal 8 drink orders! Our forgotten person ordered another special coffee. The only thing that was really above average was the REGULAR coffee. The special coffee that two people ordered was not good. The French Press coffee that one person ordered was unremarkable, and it took until right before the meal arrived for them to bring my daughters orange juice. When the food arrived, they didn’t know where any of it went, and three people had wrong orders that they had to fix. Plus, they couldn’t understand that when you order two extra pancakes for one person, you don’t need to put each pancake on a separate plate! The pancakes were good, I will give them that. However, DO NOT UNDER ANY CERCUMSTANCE order the eggs benedict! What a WASTE of money that was. Two of us order it, and we both were disappointed. The bacon that was on top was almost burnt to a crisp, it was served on very thin toast that became soggy very quickly, and had only a very small strip of hollandaise sauce on the top. The potatoes that were served with it were bland and not exciting. For their 2nd most expensive item (only the crab cake benedict was more expensive) I expect a LOT more. Spend your hard earned money somewhere that is always good and has excellent service like Ballard Street Café in Downtown Wylie. It has MUCH better food and is less expensive.

I mean... its ok, but really? They kinda got my hopes up with the "bragging banners" on the side of their building about being the "best thing in Dallas since Reunion Tower (i.e. sliced bread)." Anyway, the service here is just bad. Youve heard it in other reviews, and Ill confirm it for you. The staff doesnt care. Does. Not. Care. They have no respect for your time, comfort, atmosphere, or even to tell you about personal menu preferences. In fact, the girl almost forgot to give us our menus in the first place! Ugh. SO frustrating. How hard is it to train your staff? Ill tell you. Its not. So now lets get to what matters. We had a sandwich to share for brunch. The turkey club with fries. It wasnt bad. But the avacado was just mushed in the middle of the sandwich, and we had about 2 pieces of turkey, and one slice of turkey bacon. Its a thin, crappy sandwich that leaves a lot to be desired. Especially for the price. $10 FREAKING DOLLARS?!? Who do these people think they are that they can charge $10 for a tiny sandwich and luke warm fries? Sweet Jesus. The highlight of the meal was the orange juice. It was good, fresh. Not half bad. But everything else about the place was just... underwhelming I guess would be a good word for it. The atmosphere is typical coffee shop/bar/restaurant. Nothing special. The coffee is good, the food sucks (for the price), the service is just bad, and spending an hour at a place and only eating for 15 minutes of that time wasnt worth it. Not in my book. Just think twice is all Im saying. Maybe try other places first, and see if this one REALLY stands up against the rest. I have yet to be impressed. Maybe Ill come back, well see.

Our service was completely fine during the meal. They also didnt shoo us out, even though we stayed talking for an hour or so after paying. However, when we were paying, there was an awkward, rude moment from the waiter. Part of our party had tipped in cash 15% on the amount post-tax. Sure, 20% is a better amount and what I usually tip (and did tip on our part), but what was paid wasnt a ridiculous amount. The waiter looked at the tip and asked if there had been any problems. At first we were a bit confused, but then he made a comment about the tip amount. As far as the coffee goes, it seems like they use Starbucks-esque level roasted Ethiopian Yirgchaffe. Im not sure how you can have a pour-over Ethiopian coffee that doesnt taste very strongly like berries. The coffee wasnt bad, but with that level of roast, you may as well just use a French press and save prep time. We had breakfast here. I wish I had ordered the chicken friend steak and eggs. I had a bite of someone elses and quite liked it. I ordered the challah french toast sandwich, which would have been better as french toast with eggs and bacon on the side. It just didnt quite work well together. The side of potatoes were delicious. My husband got the breakfast burrito, which I didnt try because it didnt look incredibly appetizing. I almost ordered the shrimp and grits but was warned by someone in the party that depending on the kitchen staff, they can either be amazing or subpar. They do have WiFi and a dog-friendly patio, which may be selling points for people.

Ive been to this place probably over 5x. I have a group that meets here and the service is good during that time maybe because its a larger group and they want a bigger tip. There were a few times I went without a group and the service was okay, not great but okay. This last time was this week, the hostess was nice the manager look like he walked in off the street, he looked a little unkempt in street clothes. It was during the evening. I sat at my table and watched the manager and two other waiters joke around and I havent even been waited on. I sat at my table for over 10 minutes and had not seen a waiter. A couple was sitting behind me, and one in front of me and the waiter had been to both of their tables. I didnt flag them down out of respect and seeing they were dealing with other customers so I waited. No one came, so I got up, handed my menu to the dirty looking manager and told him I was leaving. I sat there for more than 10 minutes and hadnt even been offered a glass of water. The hostess was a nice sweet young lady but unfortunately that is as far as I got. I was hoping to relax, chill, drink a latte and write. I was very disappointed in the service, especially since it had been good the other times. I definitely will think twice before returning.

Ive been coming here for years and the last few month have been disappointing. Theres a new barista who burns the coffee. A new waiter who doesnt note when youve requested gluten free and lets you wait 15min for your water. Finally a manager that cuts corners and doesnt care about the health of the customers. For example: I ordered my eggs Benedict on a gluten free bun. New waiter messed it up. Thats not worth a bad review, what is was when I sent it back and it came out obviously not remade but lifted off the English muffin and onto a gluten free bun. When I explained I cant have that one because it had touched the English muffin he (manager) said hed personally remake it. He brought it back out on a gluten free bun but Im certain all he did was reheat it because the meat was burnt now, the cilantro wilted and the potatoes so over cooked I couldnt chew them. Also, 20min later I was sick. He saved $0.50 but lost a long time customer and her family. I gave them 2 stars because although they dont understand food allergies everyone elses food was fine.
