For those of us with longer memories, the Bayfront Classic American Diner on Water St. in Corpus Christi, TX is really a "nifty" place to enjoy a blast from the past. With the black & white tile on the walls, the soda fountain with the swiveling stools and music from the late 50s and early 60s, when you step inside you feel like you have stepped back in time. We were only in Corpus for 2 days but we came back to the Bayfront Diner twice. The food is very good, our waitress, Beverly, was over-the-top good, and the ambience was "peachy keen".

This place was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful we got more food than expected and the price for it was well worth it. The service is great, the waiters are very attentive. It has a nice classic old timey feel to it. Will definitely try and come back here in future visits to corpus.

This place seems to change its name every few years but the food is consistently great. One of the few places in town that always serves Amberjack and it is always wonderful. Good food,good service great combo!

The waiter we had was a basic waiter. Nothing special good or bad. The other lady that was helping out was a lot more enthusiastic and helpful. Food was ok, servings good for price.
