I will preface this by saying Im not actually a seafood fan. But even so, I loved this place!!! We went on NYE with his dad and step-mom and had a wonderful time!! We started by sharing two appetizers - the fondue and the shrimp and veggies. The fondue was super creamy and had a very thick layer of gooey cheese on top. The bread it came with was super soft and ever so lightly toasted with butter and garlic!! My husband was absolutely crazy about the shrimp! Shrimp is something he likes, but doesnt love. But THIS shrimp, he loved it so much that he decided to get shrimp for his entree as well!!! He got the stuffed and fried shrimp with a side of dirty rice and absolutely loved every single bite! He did take home a little of the rice though, because there was so much of it!! I ordered the Chopped Salad with fried chicken. I got the cajun dressing on the side and and extra side of honey mustard dressing, too. I dipped the chicken into both and fell in love!! Id been craving fried chicken for awhile and the dressings were the perfect accompaniment! Also, the salad was absolutely enormous!!! It was loaded with tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, purple onion, shredded cheese and bacon! And these were REAL pieces of bacon, my friends - chewy chunks of bacon. Not crunchy, tiny, fake pieces of bacon. Im sad to report that we didnt try any of the desserts. But based on the dessert tray I saw, I have to go back! Everything looked delicious and - just like our entrees - were enormous!!

My girlfriend and I ate at the Pappadeauxs in Conroe today and although the food was excellent, the service was just horrible. We have been here 3 times before dine in and 2 times for to go orders and the food was great. The service was not great the week before this one, but today our server Charles J was slow, unconcerned and non engaging. He brought our soup/gumbo appetizers with the bowls dripping on the sides. His aggressive hands slide bread across the table. Charles seemed to be more concerned with having a multitude of conversations with his co workers rather than tending to our table. Maybe if he wasnt so engaged in talking with his co workers about Best Buy and other retail stores that he would have refilled our empty glasses a little quicker, asked us how our meal was or even asked us if we needed anything at all during our visit today. Oh, but he was sure to talk to us when it was time to get his tip. He received $10 dollars, a sad face and the reason why he didnt get a better tip on the receipt. In retrospect, he should have received $0. I should not have compensated Charles J for bad service. After the last two service incidents, we are not sure that we will return to this establishment again. Oh, and the 4 stars pertain the food and not the service.

WiFi needs to be upgraded. Currently .49 mega bits per second. This is worse than dial up speed. Is it possible they only use the basic WiFi speed to get everyones e-mail for marketing initiatives? They would make the customers so much more satisfied with at least 15 mega bits per second. It would only cost an extra $75 a month, but people would stick around longer knowing they could get work done. A coffee shop did this in SF called Coupa Cafe. For some reason there were major CEOs showing up to this coffee shop like Steve Jobs? What the heck? This must be some amazing coffee right? Well, turns out Stanford grad Mr. Coupa was dishing out 50 mega bits per second, but this was in 2007. Today that would be the equivalent of Google Fiber at 1 Gig of mega bits per second( or 1,000 mega bits per second). This is called being an Adaptive Innovator. So, Pappas get in the ball game and increase your customers, satisfaction, and return on Investment w a simple upgrade of your WiFi. Besides, this would be one pay out of one customer, but bring you so much more

Enjoyed dinner at this location. Walked out to the parking lot only to find the right rear window broken and someone crawled through and over the back seat to extract my brief case. They did so to not trigger the alarm on this rental car. As it turned out a vehicle also a rental three spots away was also damaged and contents removed. This restaurant has no cameras on the lot and the car was parked directly under a light. I would suggest to beware and save yourself some grief. After talking with employees the next day it appears this is a common occurrence at this location. I would think management would value clients enough to support reasonable protection measures. Shenandoah police indicated this area has been a hot area for thieves. Twin peaks was hit the night before and again rental cars are targeted. Do yourself a favor and think twice as a business traveler in this area.

OMG-AMAZING FOOD!!! 1st time my husband and I have been and wish we lived closer we would 4 sure eat here more often. We live 6 hours away, came for the TX Reinfair! I got the coconut shrimp with cajun cold slaw, largest shrimp Ive every had, the batter was so light n perfectly flavored, slaw was delicious! Husband got oysters on the shell with cheese, he was in love with those, we cant remember the name of that appetizer. Our dinners, we both got the filet mignon, cooked perfectly to order, absolutely tender n delicious, came with mashed potatoes they were delicious. I got lump crab n he got rock lobster both were just perfect. The meal was perfectly amazing and the nice young lady who served us was just as amazing! She was right on the ball filling drinks b4 they were empty n not over checking on us but was available if we need her! ; )

The wait on the weekends can be quite long, but I was surprised to find lunch time not that busy. Joined a friend for lunch and started with the shrimp bruschetta and a Greek salad. Didnt know how goat cheese would be with shrimp, but the combo went really well. The crawfish and shrimp fondue is heavenly! Very creamy and cheesy with a subtle wine flavor. The poboy and gumbo lunch combo is quite filling. The shrimp are cooked perfectly, but the mound of shredded lettuce piled on top was a bit unnecessary. The gumbo has good flavor, but the roux is too thin and the ingredients are a little on the skimpy side. Overall, the food is consistent and service is good.

My husband and I took my father in law here for dinner to celebrate his birthday. The restaurant provides a complimentary dessert for birthday celebrations. When I asked if they had any low sugar or sugar free desserts as my father in law is diabetic, they unfortunately did not. BUT instead they offered to comp his dinner in place of giving a dessert. This was so unexpected and I am so grateful that they made an effort to make his day special in a way he could enjoy. We had great service and excellent food on this very special day and I will definitely be returning to this location!

Great food unlike the service. Im 23 years old and serving tables is my job. I am the easiest person to satisfy and I tip amazingly! With that being said, on a Wednesday night, I came here for my friends birthday dinner. I get "cut off" after 2 drinks by my waitress, then I am confronted by a rude manager, and if that wasnt enough, after I leave the restaurant, the waitress harasses my friends to know where I work so she can "pay me a visit". Never in my life have I received such service, and you can garuentee I will never spend money at Pappadeaux again.
