Great place to have your breakfast. I love this place not just because of the quality of food but also the interiors and the portions which are just right for a great breakfast. Food: We ordered a Veggie Benedict and a Berry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast (from the Summer Specials) along with coffee and Kale Cooler. Veggie Benedict was pretty cooked. Egg yolk was closer to boiled than runny but the overall taste was brilliant. Ranch potatoes, served along with the benedict, was perfectly seasoned and complemented the benedict very well. Berry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast was good. What I loved was that it wasnt overly sweet, unlike other places there it stuffs your mouth with a handful of sugar. Coffee was great and I had almost three mugs of it. Kale Cooler is a must try - extremely refreshing. Overall, what I also loved was that the portions were not overwhelming and just right for a great breakfast. While you want a heavy breakfast but not a one that will make you fall asleep again. Ambiance: I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. While it is a nice and quiet place with a patio option, the interiors are amazing too. Inside, on one of the walls, there is one large message board that said, "Mother always told you to eat good breakfast!", and how true is that!! Very good ambiance. Service: The lady attending us, Lexus, was quite polite and friendly. The food arrived just in time. Service was good and quick.

Stopped in for breakfast when I was in the area for a drs appointment. Got seated right away, but was ignored for about 10 minutes after that. Would have at least liked a glass of water in that period. I dine alone frequently since Im often out at Dr appts (unfortunately) & my kids & husband do not accompany me to those and I notice that dining alone often gets you ignored more than when youre with someone. I ordered the Texas scramble (I think that was the name!) & it had steak, peppers, ranch potatoes & mushrooms topped with eggs any way (I got mine scrambled). The dish comes with cheese, but I ordered mine without. The meal also comes with an English muffin. It was really flavorful & the steak was super tender. Eggs were cold perfectly. Potatoes were great & seasoned well. Also got hazelnut coffee & it was a bit in the bitter side. Service continued to only be so so, but I prefer to sit quietly & eat when Im alone so maybe I gave off a vibe of "leave me alone". Ill go back sometime when Im in the area for breakfast & might even try lunch there sometime if I can.

The food is good, basic breakfast options with a handful of specialties. Its a decent selection of items and service is fast. Im not too fond of the coffee, perhaps having a dark roast option would be good. The specialt juices are a good compliment, but Im not sure if you get free refills. No one has ever asked to give me one and I dont want to pay for one either. Which brings me to my next point. I have been to this location 3 times with my family and we have never left hungry or dissatisfied with the food, but the service has left a bad taste in our mouth. Its not that they are rude, its just that I feel they are not attentive. Ive had a better and consistent dining service at IHOP and Dennys over this location. Its a shame considering that I expected these smaller businesses to be more customer focused over the "big" chain restaurants. Perhaps its time to look at staffing more people or setting some higher standards at least meet and exceed expectations. I would rate the food 4 stars but because of the overall service I would have to knock another star off.

Been to this restaurant a few times and have always enjoyed the food...until they gave me, my one year old son, two of my siblings, and a brother in law food poisoning. All from their pancakes (that was the common thing we ate, blueberry granola and plain). My one year old threw up several times (he had his own pancakes) a few hours after we left. That is absolutely ridiculous at a restaurant that is supposed to be classy. Did someone not wash their hands? Does the cook know when the batter is expired? Did they not clean the stove? We will never eat there again. For five people to eat a common breakfast item and be throwing up for hours its unacceptable. Sure the other food is good, i wouldnt take the risk though.

The hostess was super polite. I sit down and order a water no ice and a hot chocolate no whip cream. The waitress brings it and slops the hot chocolate all over the table and all over the cup and walks off. The water was served in a chilled glass. I proceed to clean up the hot chocolate. Another waitress comes over and brings me extra napkins, she has no idea I didnt spill this, she was very kind. My food came right out and it was very good. The second water that came out was almost hot and tasted gross, like she pulled it out of the sink instead of the fountain. I wish I would have gotten the first waitresses name I would tell the manager she needs to be spoken to about customer service.

This is hands-down the best breakfast place you will find in the DFW area. No other restaurant has as many egg dishes than this. All their menu items are both creative and full of flavor. On top of that, they are made from scratch using fresh ingredients. They also make a hollandaise sauce that is out of this world! Seriously, if I order an egg benedict anywhere else, it always tastes like feet in comparison to the Egg and I. If you are heading there for your first time, I would recommend either one of their egg benedicts or their green chili chicken hash. Also, make sure you try the hazelnut coffee.

Comfortable atmosphere. Great staff and service! They have been very friendly each time Ive been there. Food has been fine. On this most recent trip I had the biscuits, eggs, and gravy. The eggs and breakfast potatoes were really good, but I wasnt too impressed with the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are clearly homemade, which should be a plus, but mine we a little over done on the underside (close to burnt), which made them very difficult to cut through. The sausage gravy was so-so. It certainly wasnt a bad meal, but Im withholding 5 stars until I try some other dishes out.

Since their opening in the metroplex this redtaraunt has seen new locatiom openings, consistent menu updates, and an ability to seemingly stay ahead of public expectation & desire when it comes to giving the people what they want. Youll never meet friendlier family management most likely in any industry. The owners here really invite you to sit at their home kitchen table when you come into The Egg, & I. So be sure to treat your hosts well!

We have been there many times and aside from a wait to be seated (which is expected because Sundays are very busy), everything is excellent. Curtis greets us and chats with us every time regardless of how busy he is. Theres a waitress whom used to be a hostess, shes always in a delightful and cheerful mood. I only know her as red because she has a difficult name. We love Egg & I... and Curtis... and Red... and your coffee!!!!
