cant believe anyone would give this place 4 or 5 stars... this place has horrible food ... everything is swimming in chili powder so almost every dish has a similar taste... the hot sauce as they call it tastes like tomato sauce and is very watery... the chimichanga was a flour tortilla drenched in butter with taco meat in it ... the taco salad would have been ok but the meat was chili powdered do death and the shell had cold grease on it so it had obviously been cooked earlier and set aside... if you want good authentic mexican food i would search elsewhere .. i gave this place three chances and they struck out big time ... will never be back

I dont usually leave reviews but this place was bad. The salsa has no flavor, my kids kept dipping their food in it thinking it was ketchup. The steak tacos were not seasoned well. The beans and rice tasted like they came straight from a can/box. My toddler wanted chicken nuggets. Id compare them to McDonalds. My other kiddo ordered the kids nachos. They came with 4 chips with melted cheese and beans. My son didnt even finish the 4 chips. Id go the extra distance to Rosas near TMS next time.

The food here is exponentially better than El Cerrito in Newark, so it is worth the nine mile drive to get there from Newark. Honestly the service is where this place is lacking, but last time I was in Mindy was my server and she took phenomenal care of me.

Got some REAL Mexican food! Some food is tex-mex, but my tacos and chiles rellenos were the real deal! Price is also right: no too expensive for most items. Definitively would recomend this place if youre in the area.

Wonderfully tender beef fajita meat! Great cilantro salsa, all good food. Service was a little odd, bringing out one plate at a time with several minutes in between. Just go ahead and eat when you get it!

My favorite dish is the Pollo Vaquero. Good solid Tex-Mex. Only fault is due to the City water messing with the taste of their drinks. Last few times Ive been it wasnt as noticeable. Maybe a new filter?
