I felt like they were doing me a favor from the moment my girlfriend and I walked in. Before 8 am we decided to come try it. Horrible attention. Rudeness from every single woman inside the establishment. They Never greeted us. Even though we were the only ones inside at the moment. She Went right in to taking the orders. Rushing us out the whole time. The ladies working behind the floor are at least past 60 years old with no manners whatsoever. The cook mid 40s. They all made us feel very uncomfortable. Even the cook threw the plates at us when bringing out to the table, Never repairing, one single second, to ask us if we need it anything. I am surprised to see that there is even people walking into this cafe. Never coming back in here. Moreover, the food was dull and no flavor. Everything after we ordered came out so fast that instinctively knew that everything was already pre made. From The freezer to the microwave and then to our plate. Effortless and completely careles. Neither motivation nor love projected at any given moment from any of the members. So rude!

Do not order from here!!! This was my first time using this bakery for my boyfriends birthday cake. I placed my order in a month in advance. I paid in advance over the phone and they told me to come at any time to pick up my order on the other date. I went to pick up the cake at 7 am and it was not even ready!!! The lady told me it wouldnt be ready til 9am. I was very upset and didnt understand why my order wasnt ready. If they wanted me to have a set time to pick up my order they shouldnt of told me I could pick it up at any time. They ended up delivering the cake to my house. When I got the cake it wasnt what I wanted. The top pieces where falling off and they didnt do the whole design. The flavor of the cake wasnt even what I ordered. I will never ever order from here again!!!

My first time to Sweetish Hill and its unlikely I will be back soon. The barista behind the counter was not only rude but actually snobbish to the poor woman in front of me. The woman stated she comes in all the time with the same order but it didnt seem right today - the barista proceeded to haughtily relay the definition of a cappuccino and deny that anything could have been wrong with the production of the drink. She went further to snakily tell the customer: "What you really want next time is..." If it werent for the attitude and discourteous nature of the employee, it might be a different story as Im sure reviewers who have given Sweetish Hill 4+ stars saw something I did not.

A staple of West 6th. Nicely baked pastries of the classic varieties... nothing unique to standout. The breakfast choices beyond baked goods are minor. Quiche of several styles, bagels with lovely cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches... ask if the plancha is warm before or youll wait a while. A real plus of this place is the dedicated off street parking. If you know the area than you know parking is rare. I have never had one but apparently they do a lot of multi Tiered wedding cakes. They look lovely and you can see bakery in progress from the patio.

This is my favorite bakery in Austin. Good kolaches and very nice pastries. Unlike most places in Austin, their pastry are never stale, and their prices are always good. Both the pizzas and the tacos are worth it, too. Ive also tried their cake (they specialize in wedding cakes) and it was definitely very good: moist and firm. I wish more bakeries in Austin were this straightforward. It does no good to sell fancy cupcakes and whatnot if its stale and overpriced. If I want a sugar fix, I can just buy a ding dong at the corner store.

Baking bread, wedding cakes, cookies and pastries for Austinites for over 35 years, it’s not hard to figure out why after one bite. Around Valentine’s, they will have a large variety of heart shaped treats, so stop by here before or after a meal at Winflo for dessert. TIP: Also serves delicious breakfast, lunch menu items in their cute bakery or outside patio. Custom orders and trays also available. Parking lot on west side of building.

The savory treats and sweets are delicious but get there early to get your pick of the best items. Inside is no frills. Good place to meet with someone for a casual meeting. They have a few parking spots and there is generally street parking available if theirs are all taken. One of the better bakeries in Austin imo. NOT one of the better coffee shops though. Dont go for the coffee, not that its bad, just nothing to write home about.

I cant say enough about this great little place. Service was very friendly. Everything seemed fresh baked. Not sure if they do it on site or not as the facility seems small. Really quality experience. I only went once. Its a small space so I can see how it would get very busy. Highly recommend if you are in the Clarksville neighborhood. Not sure about parking as I walked to this place after recommendation from a neighbor.

The fruit cheese danishes are fantastic! I rate it as "very good" because as a bakery they are wonderful, however do not order coffee EVER. It is horrible. Im not sure how or why they managed to mess up the coffee, but I would rather go to McDonalds or brew some at home. All of the pastries are amazing though, I have never tried anything I didnt love. My boyfriend enjoys their lunch sandwiches, they are simple and tasty.

Ive never been in the actual bakery, but Ive had Sweetish Hills awesome treats dozens of times! The cinnamon rolls, all buttery and cinnamon-y are probably the best in the city. Pair that with a coffee and all of the worlds problems simply disappear. Aside from that, the muffins are fantastic and the croissants, oh the croissants. Get one filled with chocolate and try to tell me youve tasted something better.

DO NOT CALL: I called to order a birthday cake; the woman was so rude. She interrupted me multiple times and made it very clear that I was burdening her with the questions I was asking. Apparently she hates cakes and telephones and childrens birthdays. I will NEVER order from this bakery and advise all of you to BEWARE if you assume youll be treated with courtesy when dealing with said bakery.

Gem in West downtown, and one of the best bakeries in Austin. Pastries and cakes are to die for. Service is always polite and quick and it always feels like a cute little old fashion bakery. Parking can be hard to find on 6th St but they have a lot in the back that has plenty of room. Just be sure to get there early to get a good selection of breakfast treats, they sell out!

Sweetish Hill is a great little cafe. I work close by so, I stop here frequently for coffee. Their iced lattes are my favorite in town. They simply arent overly sweet like other coffee shops make them. I also really like the vegetarian pizza they serve for lunch on Tuesdays. Their outdoor area would be really cool, but unfortunately, grackles pretty much run the place.
