I had the most amazing experience at this bakery when I went in for a cake tasting for a wedding. The owner and associate were as sweet and accommodating as could be! After tasting some of their basic flavors, I felt it was missing something special that would give that WOW effect for a wedding, so I special ordered a strawberry champagne cake to try out before actually placing the order. This is where the 2 star rating comes in...I was so disappointed when we received and tasted it. We paid about $60 for a simple cake, which only consisted of cake and icing, nothing intricate, and they said they couldnt accommodate adding anything else as it may jeopardize the stability of the cake. Ok, they know their own cakes so I took their advice, but it did surprise me and I think Im just spoiled with Bakery Lorraine custom cakes in San Antonio that have many elements and textures to them (fresh berries, mascarpone buttercream layer, cookie layer, cake layers and swiss buttercream icing; all in ONE CAKE.....they are AMAZING!) But we brought the champagne cake home to a house full of excited people and 9 out of 10 people didnt care for it and basically took about 2 bites and left it there for the trash. The sole person that gave a thumbs up was a 10 year old....I knew I was in trouble. I dont know if its just us, but none of us were fans of these cakes. Im a foodie so I ended up going with another bakery that had a little more advanced patisserie skills. Everyone is different so try it out for yourself, they are super sweet. Im just not a fan of the product they are selling.

I never like to use an expression which Im about to use but...OMG! (very applicable here trust me) To put it into perspective, I have had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into Georgetown cupcakes. I have to tell you, My Sweet Austin cupcakes are better. I know that my statement could be considered a bold one but it is true - go see for yourselves. Everything about My Sweet Austin cupcakes is worth multiple visits - their taste and their velvety bread is second to none. My favorite cupcake flavor is the tiramisu by the way. I do not live in Austin but I will be tapping into my family and friends who do live there to accommodate my sweet tooth, especially for an event in which I would like to impress guests. And thats to say nothing about the other delicious pastries that I also had the pleasure of tasting. Once again, OMG! Fanstastico Mrs. Mayes!

I couldnt be happier with My Sweet Austin! We got a naked cake and it looked and tasted delicious!! Sara was very helpful, she was easy to contact and the process for contract and payment can be done online so you basically only have to go to the store to taste the cakes! which believe me you wont regret! The tasting was delicious, it was kind of hard to pick one flavor! everyone loved the cake at the wedding! Sara will also take care of the delivery and set up of the cake! Everything was very professional! Super recommended!!

Sara, The graduation Rosette Cake with UT burnt orange buttercream icing and diploma a top was a Real Hit!!! Heads were turning as it was being delivered to our table at Trulucks...We had several people ask where we ordered the cake from. We were happy to tell them, My Sweet Austin!!! Thank you for helping us to make our daughters day as IMPRESSIVE as she is!!!

Ordered a 4 inch smash cake for our one year old and a 6 inch for 3 adults. The cakes ended up being beautiful and tasted great even after a few days. My only complaint was the pricing on the 4 inch smash. $35 for the 6 inch seemed reasonable considering how many layers it had but $25 for a tiny 4? Seemed a bit much. Anyway it was a great experience overall.

I ordered a smash cake and two dozen cupcakes for my sons first birthday party. They were done on short notice and ready for me even though I ended up needing them three hours early! They were so accommodating and helpful. I told them the theme was Dr. Seuss and they did a great job making it come to life! Everything looked great and tasted even better!

They did my gorgeous wedding cake for my hill country wedding and 2 dozen cupcakes. Sara was and always has been amazing to work with, her cakes are also some of the best Ive ever had! My guests remarked all night how amazing her cake was. They also delivered all the way out in Driftwood so that was very appreciated.

They were very helpful on short notice. I met the owner and she was very welcoming and friendly. They made us a beautiful cake! Everyone was very impressed! Although I was disappointed that it didnt taste as good as it looked. The frosting was not buttercream and the cake was not sweet.

I enjoyed the fresh coffee & a bacon cheddar scone. This was an unusual choice for me since I tend vegetarian, but I also tend towards low sugar & it looked too good to pass up. I appreciate having a locally owned & run business in West Campus.

Strawberry frosting on most cupcakes is very disappointing but the My Sweet Austin chocolate cupcake with strawberry buttercream frosting had a fabulous flavor made from REAL strawberries!! Cant wait to try more of their creations.
