Mini-cookies galore and pastries too make this a good bakery, but I did not find it to be great. I lived in Paris last year so my standard may be too high, but the almond croissant did not taste at all like the ones from boulangeries in France. It didnt have enough almond paste (assuming they use that and not marzipan) and it wasnt very flaky. The cookies were tasty. The snickerdoodle and chocolate chip were crowd pleasers though Id prefer to have them a little more chewy and soft. The cookies were priced well. Well give it another try for other baked goods and kolaches. Yummy place, it just didnt leaving me dreaming of nights under the Moonlight Bakery.

One of my favorite low-key South Austin bakeries. You wont find donuts here, but you will find some pastries, cookies, and tarts thatll make you forget all about donuts. Its all good here, but a couple of my favorites: the pecan sticky buns(!), apple strudel, and chocolate croissant. The staff is what really makes this shop great. Theyre genuine people who seem genuinely stoked to be doing what theyre doing. Theyre so laid back and kind every time I come in. Thankfully I work just a block away from here. Support Moonlight Bakery - I dont want it to ever go away!

Moonlight is not near my home, but theyve donated to an annual fundraiser at my sons school for years. This year I finally got to try some of their goodies, and not only are they nice people, their baked goods are excellent! The almond croissant is probably the best in town, and Ive tried a lot. Their pecan sticky bun is at the top, too. My husband enjoyed the bran and pumpkin muffins, the latter is a seasonal selection. My son tried the cinnamon roll and loved it. We will make a trip to the Moonlight Bakery again soon!

Been here numerous times. Great little chocolate chip cookies! Muffins are great too. I bought a doz of my favorite chocolate chip cookies, but it looks like they were left in the oven a bit longer than usual. I bought them anyway after the kind employee let me try a sample. They were still tasty as expected just a little on the crunchy side. Thanks Moonlight, I always spread the word about how the baked goods rock and the extra friendly staff.

I selected Moonlight on all the positive web reviews to prepare a basic chocolate birthday cake. Wow, I was totally surprised when we cut the cake to discovery it was completely burned. The presentation was great, but the taste and texture were awful. I am always reluctant to write a poor review, but there is no way a bakery should let this happen. A grocery store cake would have been a much better option.

I had to get some batteries replaced at Batteries Plus on Lamar and the Moonlight Bakery is next door. It was closing time so there was not much left, but there was a 7 grain bread. I took it. My husband and I agree that the bread is delicious and we plan to try some of the bakerys other goodies.

I asked for a cake shaped like boobs, and boy did they deliver! No questions asked, and it was perfectly-shaped, moist, delicious, and way cheaper than anywhere else I called. Best of all, I called it in late, and they met my timeline, no problem.

Delicious cakes and love their customer service. The latest cake I ordered wasnt ready yet when I arrived to pick it up, so they offered to deliver it to me within the hour. They did as promised.

I bought a dozen fruit kolaches to take to my family out in El Paso and they loved them. The owner was very nice too.
