This place is interesting...it is going for that British pub vibe and has the decor. The menu is a bit all over the place w/american pub fare, brit pub fare, and indian curry options. After my visit here, I am still not quite sure what to make of it, but the service was great, the food good, and $2 Lone Stars all day every day is always fine w/me. I ordered the fish n chips (because I had to). I am a bit of a snob when it comes to my fnc prefs since I have been across the pond and had various variations (the good, the bad, and the ugly), but was ruined for anywhere else when I had the best of my life in Newfoundland. That being said, the fish n chips here ranks as "not bad". The fish was very fresh, but the breading was just a bit soggy and the fish not as flaky as I would have liked. It comes w/waffle "chips", which were excellent! I usually eat my fnc w/malt vinegar because most places tartar sauce is the bastard child of mayo and bad intentions. The tartar sauce here, however, was rather tasty, had great consistency and complemented the fish well. I will say, while it was a novel and just a bit kitschy, I kinda loved the newspaper lining for the fish n chips basket. Sometimes its the little things. I can see myself coming back and venturing to try their burger and eventually the curry, but happy to see a bit of "wee Britain" in Austin.

This bar used to be called Baby Blues. Blues is still open on the other side but the main bar is now Nosh and Bevvy. As someone who is from the Northeast where there is an Irish Pub every other mile Ive seen my fair share of Irish Pubs, Nosh will not disappoint. Theyve done a great job giving this bar a face lift to make it into an authentic Irish pub experience that I have yet to find at another bar in Austin. Its a nice combination of pub/ restaurant. Lots of room to mingle and chat with folks, while still offering a relaxing bar experience. This is my brothers favorite bar in Austin and we go there every time I come into town. The owner Sam is always right in the thick of things with the rest of his staff which I really admire. All the bartenders are great, but Thomas and Alyssa are my favorites. Great bar area with excellent food. If youre looking for a great neighborhood bar with friends that make you feel like family then this is the place for you.

I have had nothing short of excellence in regard to the food and the staff. All of the British classic food, burgers and sandwiches, and the Indian food is all made from scratch. The burgers are HUGE. The Indian dishes are a homage to Sarovar. I swear its the same recipes. Ive also had the Classic pub food numerous times and cant believe how anybody could give it a bad review. It must have been a fluke. That authentic onion gravey is fantastic.

This place has the friendliest wait staff. On my 1st visit I mentioned that I was new to the neighborhood. Thats when the bartender commenced to introducing me to everyone who was sitting at the bar. Within minutes the regulars were calling me by name. They showed genuine interest in who I was, where I was from abd what brought me to Austin. Great drink prices all day and their happy hour prices are unmatched.

Love the atmosphere - kinda dark and local-feeling, but in that way that makes you a local as soon as you order. Sam waited on us, recommended great beer and food, and took great care of us. They have darts, pool, and awesome music, along with a really nice beer selection (and my new favorite IPA, Yellow Rose from The Lone Pint Brewery - thank you, Sam!) and solid food.... Ill definitely be back!

Very tenative wait staff. Service industry personnel like to frequent this bar and you can tell by the sometimes child like outburst of grammar school profanity its definitely a younger crowd. Decent cleanliness and prices the scenery is less then appealing with a 10 guy to 1 girl ratio but if youre just looking for your inner Drunkenstein check it out

Great Place all around! Lots of Activities!! :) Sam (the owner) is always busting his ass right next to his people!! Great staff all around! Cheep (not cheep tasting!) drinks. And the last but not least......their kitchen is amazing! Food stands appart, even from all the other good bar food in Austin! Highly recommend place!

Ordered bangers and mash. Got sausage from Elgin, TX (seemed like, definitely NOT bangers) and the sauce on the mashed taters was straight from a can... still congealed. I sent mine back. Hubs had the shepherds pie and said it was okay, however, later, his stomach was unhappy. Not doing that again.

I read all the review on here and expected a good experience, but this place is great. Reasonably priced and a solid burger. Also, Thomas behind the bar is a master of his domain. He was there every time before I even knew I needed anything. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Ive been a semi-regular here since it was Baby Blues. I love it here. It is and will always will be my home bar. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is the perfect mix of divey and classy. The drink prices are great, and the food is even better. Keep it up, Sam!!

This place its too big for the amount of people there. The only waitress there on a Saturday night was struggling as you might expect but was nice and did a great job considering. The 4 stars is because of the fish and chips. Surprisingly crisp and delicious.

This place used to be an Indian Restaurant with Baby Blues bar attached. And now its Nosh and Bevvy. Its a chill place for neighborhood crowd. The staff is always friendly. And their fish and chips are still my favorite bar food.
