Tin Roof BBQ is a locally-owned, family-friendly restaurant in Atascocita. My family and I have been regular customers for over 10 years. Weve watched them grow from a single building to the large compound they currently operate, complete with shaded outdoor decks and a playground for the kids. Live music every Friday and Saturday night too! The brisket is good, especially the moist, barky pieces, and the BBQ chicken is consistently good as well. Chopped beef-topped baked potatoes with the works is a favorite, as well as the "World Famous Texas Cheesesteak Sandwich," featured on the Cooking Channels series Road Trip with G. Garvin. Great fresh-cooked burgers with fresh-cut fries, and chicken fried steaks are made to order. Their fresh onion rings are one of the best things on the menu; eat them all as soon as they hit the table, while theyre hot! Other sides are made daily and offered steam table-style from the ordering line where you make selections to go with your plates. Family favorites are the mac & cheese, squash casserole, and broccoli-rice-cheese casserole. Dont skip fresh made desserts--peach cobbler, pecan pie, coconut pie, and various cakes.

What kind of place advertises "BBQ and Steaks" and doesnt offer steaks. We came there the morning after my wedding since we stayed at the hotel behind your BURGER joint. We wanted steaks and after waiting in line for an hour to realize that you dont serve steaks is really disappointing. Needless to say we had to settle for your chalky and dry hamburgers that were being massed cooked not to order but just to a standard. There was no amount of mustard and ketchup that I could put on the burger to make it more than dog food. I usually dont write these but I could not resist. We asked to have the food made again to medium burgers like we asked the first time and they said it would be a 20 min wait. We couldnt wait that long since we had to catch a flight to go on our honeymoon. Asked to see a manager who never came to talk to us. Not even sure if there was one there. All I can say is that I wont be back.

Tin roof was recommended by my Mom who I am visiting ( from Phx). I love trying new places. I will admit that BBQ really has to outstanding to make me like it. I visited right at 4 pm 6/9 I might have been the first for dinner service. I ordered the Ranch Hand. I am a pork person, but I needed to try Texas Brisket. Now I know why it is considered the best in the world. Ive never had better! I enjoyed the ribs as well. The spicy BBQ sauce was really good. Everything that was available ( pickles, onions, etc.) was super fresh. I sat and ate, couldnt finish it all. I texted my Mom to see if she wanted anything she wanted a Wildcat with onion and pickle. I got back in line and ordered. The place is huge and look really family friendly. Great JOB! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Best BBQ is the south/southwest as far as I can tell. Next time Ill get the Texas cheesesteak:)

There was a sign outside that said "President Obama wants to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour. Who does this benefit? LOSERS!!!!" I asked the man fixing my plate if he made over $10/hour, he laughed, looked toward the ground and shook his head no. I told him about the sign and said "Im sorry your boss feels that way about you." These guys are incredibly political, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I ignored it until now, but that is way across the line. I dont care which party you align yourself to... inflation has gone way up and wages havent. And I dont care what profession youre in, anyone keeping a steady job is certainly not a loser, and is entitled to a living wage. So, Tin Roof BBQ, if you feel that way about your employees Id hate to see what you say about your patrons, and as such, I will no longer be visiting your establishment.

Great atmosphere and some of the best barbecue in Houston! Live music! Playground for the kids and chimenea fireplace for the adults! Oh, and did I mention the great barbecue? You have to order the Armadillo Eggs, (fried jalapeños stuffed with chopped beef). OMG! 10 years ago, we were contemplating moving into Eagle Springs. After looking at model homes all day we stopped at this little barbecue place to relax. It was a cool evening, great barbecue, a couple of cold beers and live country music. I still attribute our decision to that fantastic evening. We were sold! 10 years later still loving it!

Down-home Texas style BBQ, a wonderful place with live music to be enjoyed by the whole family. I have personally been there more than 50 times. On a more personal note, during the hurricane the owner and his wife set-up their trailer in the parking lot across the street from their business and fed literally hundreds of people for free while we waited in line for gasoline for our generators and vehicles. And therefore this restaurant is more than just a place to eat, theyre more like family. Take the time and come by, you wont regret a moment of your time.

Tin Roof BBQ and family saved me several times when the CEO of our company demanded that we get nothing but the best BBQ! They traveled all the way to the Woodlands for our catering needs, and were always on time! I personally love their food, and according to hundreds of others in the corporation they are a huge hit! Thank you for the piece of Pecan Pie when I least expected, it and many thanks to Breck for his patience when I was asked to call and change the order several times! Sincerely, Kristine Glaze (Former front desk at Nexeo)

THIS IS TEXAS! THIS IS TEXAS FOOD! I cant say how much I LOVE this place! I dont even know where to begin. Truly authentic atmosphere to eat indoor or outdoor, kids play ground, live music, friendly staff... and now the food. WOW! So much and soooo good for such an inexpensive price. Brisket, burger, ribs, turkey, chicken, sausage... list goes on. You just HAVE to give this place a go.If you regret it, it was a fluke and you need to go again. TIN ROOF is TEXAS!

This is the real deal and great value for your money! My good friend Mr. Black took me there for lunch on a Friday afternoon and I really enjoyed the entire experience. I got the brisket and sausage and had potato salad and beans. I found the portions to be large and the flavor was great. Brisket was juicy and flavorful and the BBQ sauce was nice and tangy. I will certainly go back as often as I can. Thanks, guys, for a fantastic lunch!
