Do not come late to lunch, pizza is old and left out on the counters. Typical of pizza restaurants, as it cant be a good business model to cook fresh pizzas for just two slices (as was in the case of my order).I understood this risk and normally wouldnt rank down for something as routine as pizza by the slice not being fresh two hours after the lunch hour. But the woman who rang me up was on her cell phone the entire time, and added a layer of cheese on top of my old re-heated pizzas. Again, not an issue and is typical for pizza by the slice joints and it isnt my place to say if she should be on or off her phone. But what was strange was being confronted when I peeled off the fresh layer of cheese. What was wrong was being argued with by a young female employee on her cell phone arguing over the reason she put fresh cheese on the pizza. Telling me my theory is wrong (I worked in a pizza shop myself) and saying the "real" reason she added a new layer of cheese was that my pizza came out "ripe" is friggin bizarre. "Ripe" implies the damn pizza shouldnt have been served. I doubt the pizza was "ripe" as much as just "not fresh, but that kind of language will call in a health inspector. Arguing with a customer over his reason for taking off a fresh level of cheese is just bizarre, especially when she is on her phone the entire damn time. Im also only 29, so its not like Im some cranky old guy. I just really like good pizza and this experience was just flat out weird. I also didnt appreciate being gossiped about in the kitchen. Hey high school kid, I could hear you.

Memorial day we decided to have pizza for lunch so we stopped by this place. The name caught my attention "New York Pizza"! We ordered a new York style pizza, and we were very disappointed. This has to be the worst pizza I have ever had. I am originally from NY where the best pizza is made. Clearly, this guy has never had NY style pizza! This pizza was just bland and covered in peppers. There was very little and it was horrible. We were very disappointed, so I contacted a guy named Mike, who said he was the owner. He was extremely rude on the phone. I told him how disappointed we were with this pizza. I told him nobody woud eat this pizza. I told him that I was from NY, and he told me that I wasnt from NY. He asked me what I expected him to do. I expect you to refund $24.00! He told me that I need to return the whole pizza and he would refund my money. This guy is an absolute idiot. How the hell could I return the whole pizza if we ate some of that crap? Please dont eat here! This is the absolute worst pizza ever! Youd be better off buying a frozen pizza! I will report this place to the BBB!

Went to pick up my order but realized they got it wrong. The "chef" with the goatee got upset with me that he misheard my order over the phone claiming he confirmed it when he did not. At this point, he got aggressive with his tone and language towards me. When he walked away I told him Id rather him not fix the order because of his attitude, but at that point he started yelling at me and telling me to get out of "his store." He wouldnt even let me take the part of my order that he did get right - he took it off the counter and put it back in the oven!! A bit shocked that he was upset he had to do more work. Food is usually pretty good, but the people that run the place are god awful (except for the lady who wears the hijab). Theres a very high chance they will mess up your order and get upset with you. Youre much better off going to West Village or dare I say it...dominos.

Too bad. We thought we had found a decent pizza place when we moved into the area, but the enthusiasm faded fast after only a couple of orders. They skimp on the toppings to the point of being completely ridiculous. Take a look at the picture it is supposed to have onions, pepperoni, jalapenos and cheese. The things that look like pepperonis are actually crust bubbles from having no cheese. The only thing that even remotely looked reasonable were the amount of jalapenos. Now for the chocolate cake. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? It is at least two weeks old, dried up, hard, disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to sell such nonsense. You are not making more profit from burning your customers out of pennies. They are just not coming back.

I love seeing new Pizza places around the area, especially in my hometown. I was a little hesitant because of how "New York" this place looked and simply because the name is New York Pizza. With that being said I went ahead and tried it because it was pizza by the slice so there wasnt an expensive commitment. This pizza is New York Pizza, like the name suggests. I dont mean one of these normal hole in the walls that usually pop up with that same claim, its actually like the Pizza I have tried in New York. It blows away most of the fast pizza joints I have tried. I hope it doesnt get neglected by the snobby customer base that has taken over the area. This place is a nice change. My family loves it!

Was in town for a softball tournament and looked up pizza near me and you had great reviews so we placed an order to be delivered to our hotel between games. Ordered a large pizza and a salad and only ate some of it because we were starving and exhausted. I dont know what happened with our order compared to all of the other orders with great ratings but it was not good. Maybe delivery isnt a good option. The pizza was flavorless except for tasting kind of burned. Disappointed because the ratings were good and it was going to be a great option for our situation.

The pizza dough was not thoroughly cooked taste like flour. The sauce was like tomato paste had no flavor at all. The meat lovers pizza only had sausage. I paid for extra cheese hardly no cheese. I was ripped off. What was sad is it was a Christmas party and I ordered 6 large pies. It was an embarrassment to me. New York Pizza is only in New York with private Italian owners. Italians are the only ones who know true Italian home made sauce, true crispy crust, and Love Cheese. These owners are not Italian. No business from me thats a promise.

Ok, so this is the real deal. No conveyor ovens, no inexpensive cheese or sauce, just deck baked authentic NY pie using the good stuff - by the slice or a whole pie. Nothing fancy about this place, but we didnt care - its all about the pizza and other great things to eat - the Stomboli, pastas, etc. Finally a great NY pie right here in Allen. Its a must try.

I genuinely wish I could give 0 stars for this place. The service here is absolutely terrible. I have never been treated so rude by the OWNER of a restaurant. His employees had to apologize for how we were treated after they saw the interaction. There are so many other restaurants around this area. Save yourself the hassle and go to one of those.
