Alright by Dallas standards I suppose - a place to go if your hungry and just want to fill up, but probably not if youre craving authentic, good pizza. In short, the cheese quality was just alright - not the creamy, gui, stringy whole milk mozzarella you get at great places. The sauce was in abundance (perhaps slightly overpowering), and nothing special. The dough was a bit ont he thick side (but Im from NY and expect NY thickness, so again, by texas standards (thicker crust to supposedly accommodate a plethora of toppings), I guess it was "normal".) The staff was friendly, and there were no issues or dirty looks using the groupon. I just wish it fell into the short list of "acceptable" pizza joints in the Dallas area, but it does not. In case you would like to compare to the places I think are good, heres a few: NY Style: Luigis in Frisco, Tonys in The Colony, Sisilianos in Garland, Eddies in Plano. True Chicago deep dish Style: Pizza by Alex in Garland Napoleon Italy style: There are many these days, noe great, but several "not bad", such as Cavellis (McKinney and Irving), Dough Napoleon (Dallas), Ovivellas (Dallas), Cane Rosso (Deep Ellum), ...just to name a few. Tip for NY pizza lovers: THeres no such think as great NY style pizza with out the proper oven. Places with a conveyor belt oven (like Olives) are usually franchise like setups where by the owner bought it because of projected profits, not for love of the pizza trade. A place with a "deck oven" is a great sign of potential. A deck oven gets very hot, and the metal/stone deck provides a hot surface that cooks from Conduction (as well as the standard radiation method), from the crust up, which is what makes it so special). If you catch a place with a brick coal or wood burning oven, that even better (has temperature capability of 900 degrees, and more for great gourmet pizza, but not necessary for traditional NY style where a traditional deck oven will do just fine). Think about and inquire on that on your next pizza, and then compare to places that DO have deck or better ovens. Judge for your self, and become an expert! :-)

I think some of the reviews I read were WAY too picky. Like, what does the social skills of the delivery person have to do with how good the food tastes?! COME ON. I dont select somewhere to eat based off of the fact that Ill have a lovely convo with the delivery boy....I base it on the food, and this place is awesome. No, it isnt Italian owned, but that is literally not a requirement to have a pizza place (wth people who think it is?!). It offers flavors that other restaurants and pizza places dont, which has been refreshing. My husbands fave is the HeartSpin Supreme (which has artichoke hearts, spinach, etc) and mine is the Atomic Moo (VERY spicy, but I like the lemon pepper element). I can only speak for the pizza, as thats all weve ever gotten, but nothing but good experiences so far. :)

Word to the wise... If you call an Italian Restaurant and they speak a different language other than English or Italian hang up. I ordered from Olives for the first time yesterday and did not bother to read their reviews. I did not open up the container because it wreaked of garlic and spice so bad that my entire house still smells awful. I called and spoke to a very rude man that I am almost sure was the manager and I asked him to come pick up the food that was still in an unopened container and he refused. He told me to dispute my claim with my bank. I guess he knows the drill because I see many 1 stars on yelp. I went by the restaurant and it is a dump, beware, you may find a roach in your meal. Disgusting to say the least! If I could give zero stars I would!

I ordered a supreme pizza which was supposed to have pork sausage but instead I got Italian. I called back to inform them and they were very rude. Not only did he argue with me but he talked over me and would not let me get a word out. Once I told him I wasnt happy he said Im sorry youre disappointed and hung up on me. I wasnt trying to get anything free I just wanted to let them know especially since Im allergic to the seeds. I understand mistakes are made but take responsibility for them. This is exactly why I dont like dealing with establishments like this. I will never ever order from them again and if youre reading this: OLIVES PIZZA DONT EVER PUT ANOTHER FLYER ON MY DOOR!!!!! Just RUDE!!!!!

DO NOT buy food here. What a horrible experience. I ordered a pizza that over an hour later wasnt delivered; when I called back they said they had a large party order that was delaying mine (and even after having told me originally it would only be 20-30 minutes) and didnt even apologize - only said it would be a few minutes longer. They called back 10 minutes later saying they couldnt find my address; I said dont charge my card or if it had been to reverse it to which their response was I had to come in to the store to fix it. Luckily, I have an awesome bank who denied the charge to them at no charge to me.

clearly the reviews on here are from the owners and family members because this place is the worst Ive ever had. severely disappointed. my breadsticks were burnt, my pasta was overcooked, the sauce was all oil and grease and no flavor. for picking up dinner on my way home on a Friday night I am one pissed off customer right now and it all went into the garbage can. not to mention the place was dirty and too hot...my face was flushed by the time I left. dont waste your time!

We placed an order for delivery. The delivery driver had no social skills whatsoever. The food came a little after the estimated delivery time. All of it was cold and theyre only a few miles away. We ordered sausage ravioli and it was cheese ravioli with some sausage added on top of the sauce, which felt like false advertising to me. The subs and pizza rolls were average, nothing worth going back for. The tiramisu was ok but obviously frozen and store bought tiramisu.

Great pizza! The cheese on the pizza is amazing. I just ordered L size w/canadian bacon, mashrooms, olives and artichoke and asked to have one slice left with cheese only, they forgot to prepare such way, but made a personal cheese pizza in addition, at no charge. My daughter was so happy to have her very own pizza. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I will be definitely getting pizza from this place from now on.

Love this place so much. Ordered delivery via GrubHub. Pizza was delishes and heavily loaded with veggies and meat. Pepperoni rolls yummy and LOVED the marinara sauce. They delivered wrong wings but quickly sent the correct one and added a free cheesecake. They are so awesome!

The pizza here is fantastic! If you like thin crust, Olives is the best in Plano! As another customer mentioned too, the new management is very friendly and enthusiastic to help, and make sure you get your pizza just the way you want it. My new go-to pizza place!
