When the place was Silver Sands, it was wondrous: excellent, incredibly filling, southern breakfasts, including fried chicken or pork chops, along with more general breakfast fare such as eggs, pancakes, &c. All the food prepared by a handful of earnest, industrious women scooting past one another in a tiny kitchen. Now, with the new owner, the food has declined in quality, and he expanded the kitchen so that the dining area is less friendly. The fried chicken is only so-so. I would--and do--still go there and take people there but never w/out describing how the place used to be. It is only a shadow of its former self.

Their advertisememt wad on the radio so I thought Id tryem out, I understood it was lunch hour no prob, I ordered the meat m 2 for $5 , well my veggies were warmer than my meat, I wanted hotwater corn bread, it wasnt ready at the time, had settle for dry roll, I saw other customers asking for items that should have been readily available, I expected alittle more southern charm being it was a small location, so alittle disappointed for a first visit, otherwise the food was pretty good (if it were hot) will I go back? yes Ill give them another try!

Amazing! !! Fast, high quality, friendly service offered by people who care. I highly recommend this food. I brought HNW client who is from Buenos Aires, he is well traveled eats at 5 star restaurants. ..He totally loved the soul food. Even took peach cobbler back to his hotel. Total home run., thank you guys.

While the restaurant it self leaves a lot to be desired...the service with a smile and the delicious food will keep me coming back. I had the salmon croquettes and okra with the flat cornbread. Awesome. I will be coming back again, and again :)
