They dont even deserve a STAR!!! I love food I travel a lot and love to eat different food from other cultures and usually I love hibachi but this place here is disgusting. We waited for 3 hours to be seated then another hour to get a chef. Granite the chef was very nice and so was Lee the bartender but everyone else in the restaurant seems to hate life and was very rude. The chef gave us the most crunchy rice Ive ever eaten in my entire life and I love rice but that crap they served to us wasnt rice it was more like rocks! Then on top of that it was moms birthday and a guy left our waitress $300 to cover the tab and when they brought our bill they said they heard them say cover the birthday girl and no one else. So youre telling me they got a $275 tip. Smh never eat there! Go to Kabutos or Cathay in Murfreesboro or Fujis Id never recommend this restaurant to anyone and the meat has no flavor. Im done!

I have to say the worst customer service. My family came in town so we came to eat here, it was about 12 of us. Everything was okay, until the cooker was done we barley begun to eat and the server brought us to go plates. we all looked at her confused. so we put them aside and continued to eat, then she brought the dessert. we were still confused, we were not finished. so we put that aside and continued to eat. we still were not finished and they brought the check out and asked us to if we would hurry up because they wanted to close.! I was so upset, i asked to speak to the manager, i talk to him in private, and he said the same thing. the waitress apologized and said they didnt want to pay her, for her time to stay to finish with us. the worst owner i ever meet. never coming again!

Best Japanese Steakhouse you will ever visit. Best food I have ever had. My family and I have been going here for years. In fact, my mom started dining here in college and has been going back ever since. The ONLY negative thing that I can say about this fabulous place is that they have obviously not updated at all. The sofa and chairs in the waiting area are pretty old and gross looking. I hope that they will update at some point, because that is not the type of setting this fabulous food and service should be surrounded by!

Weve been a handful of times, and always look back on it as a very classy restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. The portions are more than enough, and are prepared as requested. The main gripe we had were the unexpected items on the bill, like almost $3 for fried rice per person vs steamed, and the lack of free refills on soda @ $3 a pop. If you have a large party of people this can come as an unexpected surprise. Id prefer they simply up the price of the meal to begin with instead of tagging things on at the end.

The hibachi was just OK. However, the seafood sauce was terrible. It was watery and flavorless. The seafood sauce is usually my favorite part of any hibachi meal. Also, I ordered what they called "sushi" but I got a generic California roll covered in COOKED salmon served inside one of those Mexican crunchy tortilla bowls. The roll was described as having salmon and tuna on it. It would have helped if it has specified that it was cooked fish. Who puts cooked fish on the SUSHI menu? I will not be going back.

Entirely not good The rice is plain and doesnt taste much like fried rice rather boiled white rice. The steak is plain. The shrimp is plain. The yumyum sauce taste more like honey mustard. The soup taste like onion soup. The included "dessert" was a small scoop of sherbert ice cream and a fortune cookie. The included "appetizer shrimp" was two shrimps. I was charged a $5 "open food" presumably for grill seating. $60 for two people. Just dont go here. Atop all this the chef was rude and downright strange.

The bartender was polite, knowledgeable, and ready to offer starter drinks in the waiting room. The meal (I enjoyed the filet mignon) was delicious, and was cooked with a nice display of cooking tricks, including fire tricks like the "onion volcano". At the end they bring a bowl of sherbet ice cream with a fortune cookie. Quality, atmosphere, and service make it well worth the above average cost.

I have gone to Mikado for my bday for probably the last 8 yrs in a row. Ill be there next Wednesday. Yes, they could update the place a little but the food in spectacular. The Mikado special (house drink), is the bomb. The two bartenders are so nice and personable. The cooks are funny and very entertaining. My favorite cook is Johnny. I request him every time I go.

Wine sauce was good (kinda taste like a cheese fondue), chicken was good, steak was good, sauces were nothing special. Beware if you have a party of 6 or more you get 18% gratuity added but they actually figure it on the taxed amount so you pay even more than 18%. We told the manager bc if theyre going to add it they at least need to add it on the correct amount.

This is easily my favorite Japanese Hibatchi place to eat. Hands down, the best salad dressing Ive ever had. The way they do their rice and filet is also the best. While their steak sauce is good, I find myself using the seafood sauce for all of my food. They also have some very friendly chefs, like Mr. Bruce from Chicago who has worked there for many years.

Great experience! Went with my husband and we had a lot of fun. Out of all the Japanese hibachi restaurants we have gone to this has been by far the best. Customer service was great our waitress was on top of things and very nice. Our chef was Juan he put on a good show made us laugh and the food was amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

Ive recently retired form the military and moved to Nashville and Ive easily been to 60 different Japanese Steakhouse, and this is by FAR the best that Ive ever been to. Great service, healthy portions, and they even give you ice cream for dessert (free). I will most def. be going back, you should give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

I loved the waiting area that they have here. You can get drinks while waiting for the rest of your party to come. The food was quite good. The server was nice and attentive. They are very respectful of vegetarians. My food was cooked first and they had sense not to include eggs in my rice. I loved this part about the restaurant.

One of my biggest regrets about moving across the country to Washington is that I do not get to go to Mikados as much as I used to. I have been going here for over 20 years and even though I havent made it back in about two year, I can not wait to come back this summer!! I am so excited for Mikados!!

As usuall, we were seated in a timely fashion, our server was good our chef was AWESOME and our food was better than any Hibachi in Nashville!! The price is a little on the high side but really I think worth it! Fridays and Saturdays are busy but doesnt that speak volumes about the place!
