Very authentic Indian dining experience. Excellent dosa, non-veg thali, garlic naan today, all up to my south Indian husbands (and my) high standards. Like in India, food is served on stainless steel trays and comes out of the kitchen right when it is finished- hot and delicious. They do not hold items to present at the same time like an American restaurant and this may be where some of the service complaints come in, but I think it is unwarranted criticism. Kitchen is small and while our food came quickly today, I can see things getting backed up if its a peak time. Overall, an excellent experience and worth going off the beaten path to find. Note it is located behind the "Patel Brothers" grocery. Go back through the area where the mini strip mall is, and it will be at the end on the left. Drive around what looks like the back of the building to find the front door.

First things first, food tastes ok. We have ordered chicken biryani, paneer butter masala, wada sambar & Chicken Ceylon paratha. All tasted ok & compared to other Indian restaurants, I feel the quantity of biryani is small for the price. Ambiance of the place is very average. The place & stuff looks very old. And the most concerned part is service. Its pretty bad. They show no enthusiasm in taking orders and interaction with customers is not very welcoming. And you have to wait for a very long time to get ur first order. We have nearly waited for an hr. So be prepared to wait! Overall, food is okay but Its not worth the wait & service. I would not return unless I dont have any option.

After quite long time I have enjoyed having a tasty Indian food here. The food was made in traditional South Indian style. I tried veg and non-veg foods and the taste is fantastic. The restaurant is pretty small, but it deserves more recognition than its given! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, this is the most authentic, real place to eat delicious Indian food. And I agree with the delay in serving the food however the food is real fresh so I dont mind waiting for decent time. However the management is pretty open to listen for customers query and I never had any serious trouble till now. Only suggestion to the management is to fix the Air Conditioning problem :-)

This restaurant is just great! I had the veg talhi and it was pack full of good health and energy and amazing flavor easch dish had its own characteristics! If youve had just the typical india lunch and are ready for something different than this is for you its south india food with a very authentic south india style .it comes with plenty of basmati rice and im sure if you need more you will have it very soon the customer service is just got to be the best! They have dosa which is a experience that is special to find! This place is tucked back behind other business so if its your first visit use gps or goole map safely and enjoy !

This place has one of the worst management, service and sub par food. I was asked to leave my table and sit in a corner in front of a tower AC. I ordered a Masala Dosa which was served to me cold, after almost 30 minutes. The manager said it is cold because I was sitting in front of the AC. I was like wtf!! But he was polite enough to replace it and offer me a dollar off on the bill. When I asked for a spoon, they took a solid 4-5 minutes to fetch it from a desk that was 6 steps away. I had a very bad experience and I am never returning here.

This place is terrible & doesnt even deserve one star, very nasty, customer service sucks, and an employee argued with me when I told him that my order was wrong and they didnt even fix it. I love masala dosa and Ive been eating it for my entire life. I ordered masala dosa and got plain dosa twice with only two spoone of potatoes. Basically they were trying to tell me that masala dosa doesnt come with masala or anything else. Im never coming back here. Honestly, this is the worst Indian restaurant Ive ever eaten at. Please avoid coming here.

The decor isnt the best and the service was a bit slow. We werent greeted when we entered and wondered where the server was, so we seated ourselves and waited. She showed up soon after and took out orders. The food came out and was UTTERLY AMAZING! FULL OF FLAVOUR! We ordered the cutlet, non-veggie thali, butter chicken, lamb curry, grandmas dosa and garlic naan. Everything was really good. I especially enjoyed the fish curry in the Thali. I can overlook weird decor and slow service for food this good. JUST GO!! You wont be disappointed!

Weve eaten there 3 times. Food is excellent. Service/overall experience is bad. Last time, one of our group didnt get their main course until 15 min after wed finished lunch. Took forever to stand in line and pay the bill. Waiters/waitresses clueless. The AC wasnt on....just had fans blowing hot air everywhere....it was 95 degrees. Ill chalk it up to cultural differences. The dosas were delicious (hence 3 stars) - but not in a hurry to return. Too much work.

Food was delicious. The waitress mistook my order as take out so I ended up waiting close to 30 minutes for an app and dosa. Several folks after me were served before me. Also, lots of flys/gnats in the building. They sat me at a table full of bags, papers and a racket bug zapper on my table. Not the cleanest dine in option. A little scared to see the kitchen to be honest.

Dosa taste is good. As others mentioned service is not that good. Hygiene and ambiance is 2 Star. If u enjoy sambar along with dosa, its not a good option. He will serve you sambar in a very small bowl. He wont readily offer you another, in case you request him the second time he will not deny but looking at his expressions and promptness u would not like to order again.

I have tried so many south indian restaurants throughout mid-west but nothing authentic as Dosa Hut. We tried Dosa, Sambhar Vada, Kothu Parota, Veg Thali and they were all spot on. Perfectly spiced, priced and consistent. Infact, I went twice while I stayed at Nashville. The only reason why you should go there is food as the decor and the ambiance are so-so.

This is the worst Indian food I had in Nashville.service was pathetic on a Sunday evening we ordered dosa and idly it took more than 25 mjn to serve them.. By mistake when I was walking around got a view of kitchen and it is one of the ugliest kitchen you can imagine... Never recommend this place unless you like to fall sick and consume your sick leaves

Dosa hut is a great place to go eat when you want something out of this world to eat .dosa hut deserves more credit do not let the look of the restaurant not make you go their because it is amazing on the inside. They also took time and went to buy a cake to celebrate a birthday when you stop by Nashville your first stop should be Dosa Hut.!

The 3 foot Dosa looked good, but the coconut chutney was watery, spicy tomato chutney was not up to the mark, sambar tasted like north indian with lot of spices and little veggies, the potato was very oily. The dishes are relatively low priced. I was expecting a hole in the wall place to be really authentic. This dosa place is not south indian
