It gets one star because otherwise I cant post a review to warn people, STAY AWAY!!!! We drove 45 minutes to try this place, my mom loves Chinese & it is Mothers Day. However, at 4:45 pm, the bar was nearly empty. So before we sat down, we asked to reassure they would be making fresh food. 10 minutes go by, nothing happens. We are starving so we try to fix a plate with the available scraps. It was so cold, it wasnt eatible. After 15 minutes, we ask again. Finally, here comes at least the Won ton soup. It tasted like dirty dish water. Well, at least we have a Coke, right? But getting it refilled is obviously not understood due to barriers limited to not understanding English. Still waiting for that fresh food, mind you. Eventually its obvious that fresh food is not on the agenda. So thank God my mom enjoys those sugary donuts, shes diabetic and couldnt wait any longer. Now, Im upset. So I approach the young manager, so I assume, with earbuds still in his ears, stranding from his phone, for a 3rd time. "Excuse me sir, may I ask why you never made any fresh food?" He responds, "Because there is food on the bar, no one else has complained about it but You." -Baffled- I say, "Theres only been one other table here besides us, but nevermind them, we specifically asked before we sat down if you would replenish the bar, things like my brothers favorite, Pepper Steak, has been empty this entire time. The rest is so cold that its appalling." - "So". He says. "So?? Is this not a buffet that should have food on it? Otherwise, what are we paying for?" May I please speak to your Manager? He now pops out the second remaining ear bud, stands up and says, "Theres no one here." "No $h!t" I say. "Ok, how about knocking off 10%"? "Look, youve eaten you have to pay, Im not reducing anything. Ive had no complaints all day from anyone but you!" "Are you FN kidding me man, this place is empty thats why you have no other complaints!" "PAY and GET OUT, you are not gonna cause me problems!" "Problems... I simply asked you a question that as a paying customer, I have the right to ask." He threatend me and my family with cops if we didnt hand over money immediately. Said he could not care less if we were satisfied. At that point, thank God my family, over hearing us from the table came up to take over. I was about to give him a reason to call the cops. Happy Mothers Day, Mama. I really wanted this to be a good new spot for you to enjoy your beloved Chinese food. But hear this, rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful, unprofessional, cash register boy... Your fortune cookie better work some serious magic, for your sake.

This place is absolutely awful!! Ill start by saying its dirty. Kids are unsupervised in the buffet lines. That is obviously not the establishments fault however they do nothing to manage or correct it. We asked for waters and it was apparent that they used water straight from the tap when they had a perfectly good filtered option from the soda fountain. The food is dreadful. It looks as though it has sat out for hours and the quality shows that it is well past its prime. There was a beef dish that looked ok and I chose to put it on my plate. Upon biting into it is swear it tasted nothing like any beef that I have ever had. My husband tried it and had to spit it into a napkin. Im not unconvinced that is could have been cat or dog. The won ton soup, kind of hard to mess up, had a good broth however the won tons were slimey and had some attempt at meat in then that didnt taste like anything edible. I couldnt even be polite and spit it into a napkin, it went straight back into the soup cup. I would rather starve than eat here again. Do yourself a favour and go to anywhere but New China Buffet. By the end of the meal I was ready to get out of there. I went up to pay and the man at the register continued a phone call on his personal cell phone. Did not acknowledge me at any time aside from ripping my card out of my hand and running it. I was tempted to leave a negative tip but settled for a zero tip and very obviously yelling thanks and bye to him. If negative stars were possible that is what I would give this place!

Ive learned over the years not to "judge a book by its cover" but this one proved me wrong. Not to mention, I love Chinese buffets...namely because I know its hard to do Chinese food bad. I read a couple reviews online that said positive things so I tried it. I was sorely disappointed. When I walked through the door I was met by an Asain lady who was clearly pissed that she had to be there. She asked me how many then took me you the very back corner of the room passing numerous tables and booths. She asked what I wanted to drink, only I had to ask her to repeat it 2 times because she wasnt looking at me and refused to speak slow enough that I could understand her. As she was walking back up front, she passed the waitress station and yelled "DIET COKE" with more attitude than my teenage daughter. The food was mediocre to yuck. The egg rolls were cold and awful. The overall cleanliness made me feel like I needed to shower after I left. I decided to stop by the restroom on the way out and almost turned around and walked back out. It reminded me of an old gas station bathroom on a back road in the middle of nowhere. It was a mess! Urinal coming off the wall, liquid on the floor, waste basket overflowing, cigarette butts in the sink, etc. It was gross!! Then I went to pay and couldnt believe I was having to pay so much for this experience! What a total disappointment!! I would give this five place negative stars if possible.

The guy at the front counter is iffy! We like to sit to ourselves and had a problem doing this and had to argue to get the place we wanted to sit at. We have eaten here about 7 times now due to it is close by to our base of operation being truck drivers. We have eaten in many Chinese buffets and in different states but this one does not have a very good variety of food and it is cold or lacking on the food when we go there. The buffalo wings are better if you take the fried chicken wings and dip them in the wing sauce. Waitress is ok and does keep up with taking plates and refills. The rice is most of the time cold. I have noticed at a lot of Chinese buffets they all have the same strategy of staring you down when your getting the food. There is a woman here that stands over you while you get your food. I normally just look at her and smile and continue getting my food. They do this to keep you from eating to much. After you get up for a 3rd time and like me I dont get very much on each trip you really get stared at by the employees but when your paying they are very polite. The restaurant does not have good lighting. The restrooms do have a smell to them. When they do put fresh food out it isnt to bad. But will say you get what you pay for at this place.
