****UPDATE**** I went back to the Bellevue Diner having not been there for a couple months. The experience is wonderful. I took my sister and her boyfriend who were visiting from out of town. I wanted to show them a great meal and that is exactly what we got. We were fortunate enough to have the same waiter as last time--the time when my initial review was written and he did a fantastic job. The restaurant is clean, the service wonderful, coffee fresh, and food delicious. Although I did not take Chef Adel up on his offer for a free meal, I am extremely impressed with his (and the staffs) handling of my initial review. Should a person ever be even the slightest bit dissatisfied with something about their meal, the kitchen and floor staff will do their very best to rectify the problem. The results are obvious. Thank you so much for facilitating a wonderful place to take my family and friends whenever they are in town. Bellevue is as good as the dearly beloved Athens on 8th Ave. Initial review (not this way anymore): We love Athens. We would eat there every meal if we could afford it and if it were logistically possible, but it isnt. So, we tried Bellevue Diner in order to satisfy the itch and it was offensively disappointing. The whole experience just felt lazy. Instead of making fresh coffee they gave us stuff that tasted like it had been sitting around four or five hours. Instead of putting onions and peppers in our gyro omellette, it was just lamb meat and cheddar cheese. It cost eight dollars when it should have cost four with that kind of effort. They didnt have the potato salad, a familiar favorite from the vastly superior Athens Greek restaurant located on 8th Ave. Please do yourself a favor and just skip Bellevue and make the passage to pay homage at Athens. You wont regret it.

Wow, were new to the area and SO happy we went here! My husband got the "Lamb of the Day", a braised lamb shank over rice, with carrots, celery and onion. It also came with a simple, Greek salad. The lamb was so flavorful and tender, all for $9.00! I got the homemade spanakopita, which included the above salad. Ive tasted many variations of this dish and this is the first one where there was absolutely NO bitterness from the ample spinach, thankfully, not a heavy hand with feta, just pure flavor and flaky phyllo! The hummus was smooth and lemony, the tzatziti, while tasty, needed more of cucumber. Oh and you can bring your own bottle of wine...nice. Its one of those places where we say, "Were not done yet......." Thanks for the great meal!

Absolutely delicious! Being from a restaurant background I was overjoyed to find such a gem right down the road! Everything is made fresh and with thought and care. From the house made tzatziki sauce and baklava to the fresh local lamb. Must try dishes are the lamb pie, suzukakia, kitopita, fresh ground half pound burgers (the lamb burger is one of my favorites) and absolutely ANYTHING for breakfast! The grits are to die for, made slowly with heavy cream and butter! The prices are very reasonable for the average family (we go multiple times per week) especially considering high food costs these days and the effort and preparation it must take to make the wonderful dishes that come out of Chef Adels kitchen. I cant say enough about this place!

I was there Sunday July 30 for breakfast. Ive been wanting to go for quite some time since I live so close by. They were short staffed so I overlooked the wait and not getting any coffee refills while i was there. The food wasnt bad but when i order pan cakes i like real butter and real maple syrup (guess Im a snob lol). This place had vegetable spread and what could only be corn syrup. For the wait I wish I drove the extra 5 minutes to cracker barrel. The staff was great and im not ruling out going back to try a meal other than breakfast.

I would give this 5 stars because the food is really good but I got food poisoning about a week or two ago from the lamb burger. Really disappointing because it was good just not cooked all the way and definitely not consistent. I thought they cooked it medium (which is how I prefer my burgers) but half way through I noticed the other half of the burger was well done. Needless to say, Ive been vomiting and having terrible stomach cramps ever since.

Overpriced food. Quality does not correspond with the price reasonably. The wait time was the worst. Seated and then waited for a server to take our order, no one ever came. Had to get a waiters attention to take our order. After placing the order, had to wait an hour just for 1 appetizer and 1 gyro order to be served. Two other tables that arrived later than us were served and left before we got the food. Never coming back...

Great mix of traditional Greek and American fare. Love the Greek Breakfast. Very friendly service. Was a fan of the original on 8th in Berry Hill when I lived in that part of town and was pleased when they opened this location nearly a year and a half ago. Small building but always bustling whenever Im here.

Ohh my wife and I just absolutely love this place. I even find myself waking up in the middle of the night and driving out to the 8th avenue location sometimes just for a double bacon lamb burger and some spanakopita. The nice young man who cooks always goes the extra mile to customize my meal to my liking.

We absolutely love this restaurant, all their food is tasty and reasonably priced. My only minor complaint is that they often only have one server working which can make ordering or getting refills take a little too long. Otherwise, Athens is great, our go to restaurant in Bellevue.

Our waitress was great, I wish I could say the same for the food. The atmosphere is rather.... affordable. My French toast was good, but the strawberries were mainly green. The coffee was merely hot water with what seemed to be only a hint of brew.

I stopped here thinking this place was a meat and three, to my surprise it wasnt. I was hoping more for an American menu, but it was mostly Greek and Mediterranean. I decided to give the place a try, and I did enjoy the dish I ordered.

This is a typical greasy spoon diner. I probably would have given this place three stars because Im a fan of restaurants close to me in my area but while I was eating my meal I watched a roach walk across the dining room floor.

We went there for dinner on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious and our server, Jerry, was super friendly and helpful. It was an overall great experience and we will definitely be back.

Took an hour and a half from seating to leaving. Expensive for what you get, $12 for a Reuben and thats it. Didnt get a refill on water. Food was decent.

The food was excellent and there is something for everyone on the menu. A little bit on the higher end price wise but overall a terrific place to eat
