Wow, Anita, the food is still totally awesome! I brought my wife in today for lunch and we ate with the former LaVergne Police Chief. It was my wifes first time eating here. The fmr. Chief of Police and I have eaten there on many, many occasions. It had been many years for me due to living in Cheatham county and dont get to Murfreesboro that often. All three of us cleaned our plates and left full. I had to say hello to Anita, since I hadnt seen her in over 7 years. My wife and I will be back soon!

This was the absolute best southern food dining that I have ever had. I grew up here in Murfreesboro and my only regret is not knowing about this place earlier. When I was first taken there I was a little put off by the area of town and the exterior of the building but when you walk in and meet the wonderful people working there and taste what they have to offer, that goes out the window. Take a chance and go there!

If you want the best soul food/southern food in Tennessee, then there is only one place that can provide it for you and it is Kleervu Lunchroom!!! They serve it up all day long at a great price and you feel like your at home and it is Sunday Dinner. It does not get any better he in Middle Tn or anywhere else in Tn for that matter!!!! THE BEST!!!!

Love this soul food place! I have never gotten anything I didnt like! Love the ribs and fried chicken. The hot water cornbread is amazing! All the sides are delicious and save room for dessert, if youre lucky and they banana pudding get it, its the best Ive ever had! If not chocolate chess or peach cobbler is delicious!

This is an historical location, if you come during lunch hours expect to wait in line for this cafeteria style home cook southern Cuisine that is definitely worth the wait, do not make the mistake of passing on the hot water cornbread its like none youve ever had and the sweet tea is downright Southern delicious.

Lifelong favorite! Anita and Miss Rebecca fed me all through college (in the 80s) and now back in Murfreesboro with a new job has me re-visiting my old favorite lunchroom again. Best broiled chicken, turnip greens and chess pie anywhere. Dont forget the hot water cornbread...

Good home cooking / comfort food. My favorite lunch here is three veggies. Always plenty of hot fried okra. Green beans are great. A plate comes with salt water corn bread. The folks there are always friendly. Its a great place to enjoy lunch with a friend.

Me and my family just left and the food was amazing. Everything was good and I mean everything cause I ate all mine and sampled of 5 other plates. Service was great! Nice friendly. I will make this one of my places to eat.
