The best! After our horrible experience with Sir Pizza on Memorial Blvd, in Murfreesboro, getting fed up and leaving, we were still looking for a place for dinner. It was Sunday and normally things close up shop pretty early. The Gondelier was open until 9pm and thankfully we had over an hour to spare. Immediately walking in the place seemed friendly. The music and atmosphere was nice. The man whom seated us was nice. Our waitress immediately came to us and got us our drinks. She was talkative and polite the whole time, wed say, "thank you" shed say, "youre welcome" As she was zooming around. She seen we needed refills and she refilled our drinks in a timely manner. We ordered a lot of food because it was our first time there, so we wanted to try a good amount of food, and we were going to take some home. I ordered the mixed cheese and beef tortellini in alfredo sauce, with the ceasar salad (your choice of soup or salad) and my hubby ordered the Italian Trio (manicotti, lasagna and fetucinni alfredo). It was late and unfortunately they were out of some stuff, like romaine lettuce. The waitress was very apologetic though, and we worked with her on what else we would like instead, so I chose to go with the iceberg lettuce for my ceasar salad, and my hubby went with the soup instead, but our waitress searched around and found a ceasar salad for me! We ordered an appetizer of calamari, which was delicious. The manager brought out our calamari and was joking and playful with us, very personable and laughing up a storm. He was very pleasant And made our experience that much better. Our food promptly came out, and I wasnt even done with my delicious salad. The food was delightful, the sauce was so good it tasted of wine and really gave it-its own flavor, and I loved it. The waitress was lovely and chatted with us, even told us stories. Our experience was great and so was our food. We will definitely be back. P.S. The menu is huge too, lots of food to choose from. I highly recommend this place. P.P.S. Decided to order a pizza to go for microwave leftovers... fantastic.

We really wanted to love this place but were not going back. Our first visit was 4 stars and the food was very good. Minor issue with the staff but we were excited for our second visit to try other items. The second visit was horrible. My girlfriend has a cheese allergy. She notified our waitress before ordering and made sure the item she wanted would be okay for her. (Beef Ravioli without cheese on top.) A few bites into her meal she immediately had an allergic reaction and noticed that one of the raviolis was filled with cheese. She had cut into several and checked before she ate anything. We notified the waitress who went to have the dish remade without saying much. She returned a few minutes later with a new plate of ravioli and asked if we needed anything else. The allergic reaction was rough but didnt require immediate medical treatment as she had only bitten into one piece. The lack of concern bothered us but we wanted to enjoy our meal. She began feeling too bad to continue within minutes so we asked for to go boxes for the 3 of us. We were provided a full check without apology or any concern whatsoever. Not even an inquiry as to why we were suddenly leaving. While leaving a manager asked if we needed a bag for our boxes. I was a bit annoyed but politely asked if he had heard about what happened. I explained and he simply said that the raviolis look the same after theyre put together. No concern even after pointing out the allergic reaction taking place. I got a quick "Sorry" while walking out the door. I have no interest in getting a free meal. The complete lack of concern or interest in a problem that resulted in hours of uncomfortable reaction and a near hospital visit was a shock. Very disappointed and will not return.

We needed a reservation at a restaurant for our large party of 18 on MTSUs graduation night. I called a number of restaurants in town, but continuously received the same two responses of: 1. The restaurant required a hefty deposit for a large reservation. -OR- 2. The restaurant would flat out refuse. They either didnt have the accommodations for such a large party or they would tell me they cannot do reservations during peak times (5-8pm), especially on a MTSU graduation weekend. I was just about to give up when my Mother found The Gondolier, a place I had never been to, in Murfreesboro. They were happy to accommodate my large party, and my husbands graduation dinner was a success. Not only was the environment aesthetically pleasing, but the food & service were excellent too. Our waitress was very kind and efficient, managing our large party (which included 7 children) with ease. The food is a mixture of Italian, Greek, and there are a few American choices too. No complaints here, I will be going back, and I most definitely would recommend The Gondolier to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Murfreesboro.

Sitting here at this poorly managed restaurant, I asked the waitress (who was very sweet), if my daughter could order chicken fingers with a side of mac n cheese. She said it wouldnt be any extra, comes back a few minutes later and said the "head chef", George, wouldnt allow her to do it. Okay, no problem, my daughter just wants the mac n cheese, no chicken. Food comes out, she sets down chicken fingers, I advised that we had ordered the mac n cheese, she said she would bring it out and to just keep the chicken, no problem. Comes back out says she was told by the "head chef", George, that my daughter couldnt keep the chicken, that she had already started snacking on. Unbelievable!!! Just got the ticket, charged for a Kid chicken finger, not mac n cheese. We will not be returning to this restaurant again and I will be sure to share this with friends and family!

There menu is HUGE! which was honestly great because its more than just Italian. They do have amazing Greek platters, pizza, etc. I tell all my friends that if they are planning to go to Olive Garden, they should go here instead. Save some money and really eat fresh with this local owned piece of awesomeness! All cheesecakes, and bakery items are made in house, the cheesecake is made by Gondolier himself and one slice will easily serve 2 people. I ordered Shrimp Alfredo but the shrimp still had tails. I had to remove the tails before eating, as I personally dont like to "work" for my food, and the tails made wrapping the shrimp up in noodles impossible. Only reason I gave them 4 out of 5, everything else was spot on perfect. Staff was on the spot, on point, and amazing every step of the way. Hands down the staff is 5 out of 5 Eat here you wont regret it.

Cannot share much as we were never given opportunity to eat food after being seated. We requested a table and were taken to a one but with half booth half chairs. My father suggested a table set across from this "booth". Our hostess seemed disgruntled with the request and rudely threw the menus and table settings down. We sat there for at least 15 minutes with servers and others walking by without ever being acknowledged. The restaurant was not even a quarter filled on a Monday evening. Finally we had no choice but to leave. The staff did not seem to care that we left, walking past two hostess/cashiers. Earlier we called the restaurant to inquire the hours and got a short one word answer and click. No thank you for calling, kiss my behind or anything. We ended up driving to Smyrna for amazing Italian food by locals.
