Baristas are inconsistent like the majority of Memphis coffee shops. They serve much too good of espresso to be underpreparing it in drinks. If they can start serving espresso drinks at the right temperature with correctly textured milk this shop would be a Memphis treasure. Ive had an amazing cortado that would pleasant temp right off the wand, and a couple days later had a piping hot bubbly latte that burned my mouth and the espresso it was overpowering. I still have great hopes for you, Avenue!

Great Coffee shop! Great coffee, friendly and informative staff that always is trying to do their best! Would give a 5 star but parking can be difficult sometimes and on one particular occasion someone was singing and playing the piano that was in the cafe and it was distracting me from my work and my wife from her homework. Anyhow, they are open till 12pm which is a plus! Im not aware of any good/local coffee shops that are open that late in East Memphis! Also just had the affogato! Very good!

Best coffee shop in Memphis for coffee quality! Owners are really friendly and they are non-profit, donating their proceeds to a charity which they rotate every once in a while. They also use Reverb Coffee, a local Memphis roaster with great stuff. The drinks dont come out quickly, but they spend a lot of time on each cup and seem to be experimenting with techniques to produce a great cup. Try the cold brew for a really unique experience.

I wasnt too impressed. My wife had a latte that was down right terrible, my pour over was tolerable but nothing to write home about, and the scones we had were pretty bland. We were only in Memphis for 24 hours so I dont have anything else local to compare it too, but if this is as good as it gets theres a huge opportunity for someone to swoop in and fill a void.

The coffee is great and the staff is friendly. This is a great spot to study while sipping on a good brew. Not to mention that its a non-profit that donates to local charities! I especially enjoy their pour overs with a splash of soy. They also have some sweets that compliments the coffee well.

I went to Avenue Coffee today. I was amazed. The place was packed for a video game tournament. The staff is incredibly friendly. I had an iced brew at the suggestion of Zack. The coffee is very good. I totally enjoyed my time there. I will return.

Good coffee with good people. Note only do they serve a great drink, they do good in the community working with various charities. Im a cappuccino person. I havent had any food there, so I cant review the food. On-street parking is a challenge.

Decent coffee shop. The latte is really good and the turkey bacon apple sandwich is tasty too. The ambience could use a lift and parking is uncomfortable, but theres not much can be done about it. Prefect for university students.

Great coffee, friendly service. I had the snickerdoodle coffee smoothie and loved it! I would give five stars but the parking situation is poor, the bathroom needs a good cleaning, and theres no room for changing a baby.

Great coffee! Typically very quiet place to study until around 3 or 4 oclock. Excellent spot to study on Saturdays. Various seasonal drinks available and various food options. Turkey Bacon Apple Sandwich is very good.
